The lottery should be a money drain; only 75% of the money should be paid, the other 25% should be obliterated. That way lottery is good for the winner, and good for the RuneScape economy.

Jagex want gambling gone for good reason. It makes gaining pixelated GP from rolling dice the whole point of the game to a lot of people. Rather than experiencing RS for what it is; quests, pking, mini games, PvM, skilling, community etc.

A lvl 40 aka Lil Jimmy29 could start playing RS, see people rolling dice at the G.E and get hooked. Next thing he's a rank making bills when he never knew there was such a place as Isafdar.

chris i think the lottery thing is honestly a brilliant idea. everybody trusts you to be a host so it would be a great idea for like a 20k ticket every week and then just one major pot for one lucky person at the end of the week. :) keep up the good ideas

I've done the lottery at all of my parties. Usually works out, though if some rich guy buys a lot of tickets his/her odds are better. In all of my cases winners only had bought 1 ticket though. Id say it gets out of hand once there's over 200 people doing it.

there is an office where you can buy your ticket,once you bought it,you cannot trade it.

ticket price = 10k, max 10 tickets per week. once you've won you can claim your price in the shop,and choose in what items you will get them (= thumbs up if you like this idea (:

I think there is some legal issue against gambling and putting something in the gameroom because the legal age is 18 and not everyone on rs is 18 years old.

Jagex doesn't want dicing because RuneScape is a 13 and older game and you have to be 18 years or older to gamble. So either Jagex has to make the game 18 or older or prevent people from dicing.

As being a dice host myself, i dont think many people will like the rs dice gambling, because all the lost gp will be gone forever and not in currency no more, as a host, hosting and gambling is a rush, and now that runescape has nothing that is a rush anymore, the adrenaline from risking that much is what i strive for, and i try to find it in a game that i've played for a while now.

I think the reasoning behind jagex removing gambling is to do with the RWT, dicing provided a way to basically harvest huge amounts of money. Dicing saw a huge surge after the botting update, basically it was the substitute of botting in order to gain in-game gp to sell to gold sites.
