I luv your recipe, I just posted a chow fun video last night! Thanks for sharing how to separate the noodles, I always used the microwave to soften them up and they always ended up not separating completely! Anyway... Wonderful recipe, and great splash guard!!!
hi..i noticed that you didn't add in the shallot, sliced onions and minced garlic? did you miss that in your video or you don't need them to cook kwetiaw?
what do you call this noodle? I am Indonesian who lives in America, I haven't found any kwetiau noodle in Asian store, maybe because I dont know what to look for. Please let me know, I am really craving for it and I am pregnant :-(
@Indogirl08 They have vietnamese name for kwetiau... they also have chinese name .. chow fun ... most asian market have this .. make sure you squeeze them to see if they are soft .. otherwise they are old and will not turn out good when you cook them .
Buy them fresh (and should be still soft when squeezed), and cook them the same day or the next day the latest, but do not put in the refrigerator or they will dry up and becomes hard.
Oh yeah, never knew about adding an egg or the other types of soy sauce, I'll have to try this.....thx

Indogirl: You can buy the kwetiau in 99 Ranch Market. They usually put the kwetiau nearby the Vietnamese noodles.
