  • My first guess for buying this weapon would be Craigslist. Although...if you're not careful a guy named "Welrod" might show up at your door and have his way with you! ;) Probably safer to wait till a gun show comes by your town.

  • I remember playing MOH and having this...I called it the pirate pipe

  • Not going to lie... I learned about this gun from Person of Interest.

  • Medal Of Honor!!!

  • where can i buy a welrod? even if it is demilled.

  • How can i buy a welrod? even if it is demilled.

  • Can you please make a video of this gun being shot. Maybe a detailed look at the inside of the suppressor.

There are only like two or three videos on the web that even show this gun. It's very interesting and I love learning about weapons of WW2.

  • I would like to help you but I am not able to do it for the moment. If I have time to do it in the future, I will.

  • thank you i remember the first time i learned about this baby was playing medal of honour rising sun. thanks so much for the video explaining it by demo. also loving the uniform and set. well done

  • so were can you get ahold of one a fine pice a of work like the might i ask?

  • the gun is silenced

  • I just happened to see this pistol mentioned while watching a segment on the HISTORY CHANNEL entitled HITLER"S BODYGUARD; and, having never heard of the pistol before, I was attempting to see what I could find out about it. I am surprised to learn that it is still considered classified some 65 years after the end of WWII, and I cannot understand why ? From what I see, it is just a silencer (easily made) that accepts a 9mm or .32 clip that doubles as the handle. What is the secret?

    BigBobHev1963

  • @BigBobH1963 Well, the reason it is recepted well is becuase its not for use on a conventional battlefield. It's used for stealth and special operations. It's known as "The Assassin's Pistol" because it's meant to be fired agt point blank range, easily conceable, and extremely silent.

  • The gun is a silencer, the mag or handle is removable to make it more concealable. Used on clandestine work from WWII to the Falklands to work in Iraq in 91. the end of the barrel is cut in away to further quiet it down when placed directly against the head. How a silencer works is they still make a pop, they just change the recognizable sound of a gun shot. They slow the rapid expansion of gases through a series of baffles and chambers. We use em in spec ops to shut dogs and such up moving thr

  • @allseriousness The point is that this Welrod Mark IIA already has an silencer fixed to the breech block housing, which is not removable.

  • @SOE1943 I think what allseriousness means is Silenced pistol+silencer=no sound at all. haha

  • @allseriousness The whole barrel is the SUPPRESOR. Its a fixed Suppresor.

  • @allseriousness Gun has a built in suppressor, and couldn't be a sniper due to the extremely short effective range (23 meters)

  • What's the name of the song

  • @skirmishers1944 "It´s a long way to tipperary"

  • I want 1!!!

  • DAMN I WANT ONE OF THESE :D

  • world . guns . ru if you want the full specs and all that shit

  • I never liked the idea of having to remove the pistol grip in order to reload but out of interest, how many bullets could it hold?

  • Am I correct in saying that this pistol is a copy? As far as I know they are still a classified weapon within the commonwealth & they came in .32 & 9mm short...sub-sonic of course.

It would be interesting to find out what the ammo used was like during WW2, ie: powder, projectile weight?! If I know the British, it would have been a Rnd that was as heavy as a brick with a powder mix of artillery & pistol powder but some-what reduced to make it a sub-sonic Rnd...maybe???

  • Yes, it is a top of the line copy. The Welrod is still classified. Subsonic ammo was used but it was built so they could use all 7,65 mm Browning or 9 mm (9x19) Parabellum. The SAS in Australia has it in their arsenal today.

  • @SOE1943 This is a fabulous video. Why ? Because we see the operating mechanics of one of the rarest World War 2 pistols.

  • Wow that is just Brilliant how about a Delisle .45 that would be cool

Love the web site to well done! old chap.

  • awesome! I favorited this video.

  • @theretardpeep

Thank you for your kind words. I have been working on this little video for over one year.

  • they only made about 2000 of these to begin with, and there arent many left in existence

  • so where can you buy it or make it

  • awesome gun!

  • Very classy and tasteful video. The period effects are delightful. Thanks for the tutorial on the classic welrod.

  • This was used in medal of honor rising sun! :D it is a single shot pistol, VERY deadly and almost 100% silent.

  • @OUTLAW767 Now back to real life. I'm sure they weren't nearly as quiet as depicted. I've also played the game.

  • 73 DB. Still highly audible, but for a gun, quite soft. Definitely not a "movie silencer" gun.

  • is this a fucking pistol?

  • The British Welrod Mk IIA is a silenced execution weapon made by the Birmingham Small Arms Company for the Special Operations Executive.

  • NO SHIT!

  • Where did you get that?

  • It is a Drill Purpose high quality copy for collectors, there are no ones for sale anymore. The price was then about US $ 3000.

  • Wow ! That's some price for a copy - excellent though - thanks for the vid.

If the MOD could dig some of the originals out of storage they might raise enough cash to buy Chinook or two.

  • Rumour has it that the Welrod is still in limited use throughout the UKSF.

Its apparently also still classified under the official secrets act.
