@blackquake4 What you want to do is not possible at this time - I havent heard of any pc that could emulate/play a ISO. Xbox games are generally similar to their pc counter parts but in this case you cant play them that way sir.

@IceMan96669 It works with any iso. But you have to download the iso files first. if your not a skilled hacker, i would STRONGLY Sugest that you but the retail game insted of iso. Plus you need a flashed xbox

Hey. I seem to have a diffrent problem. I've been playing magna carta 2 perfectly, only one problem. At the end of disc 1 it asks to insert disc 2, whenever I do that it won't read anymore. Also tried to use the active.iso boot disc first and then the disc 2, but then it just keeps loading the next screen over and over. Is there actually a way to fix it?
@Hamstergeval Sounds like a bad rip or a failing DVD drive. Try getting it from a different source and then reburning it. Upgrade your DVD drive to the latest firmware so you dont have to use the Activate ISO disc. Or you purchase and flash and install a new DVD drive.
No it's certain that it isn't a bad rip. It's just that there's no way to actually swap the discs when it asks for it. The game work perfect. I'm actually waithing for the samsung ixtreme LT version. I can't seem to find the ixtreme 1.7 and the jungleflasher that works with it. Don't really feel like updating it to 1.61.
@Hamstergeval Then I'm all out of ideas. When i played Forza and it asked for disc two i was able to eject the first one and put in the new one without any problems.

Well I just decided to flash because 1.61 lite extreme works to. Just have to tweak a bit to get jungle flasher to read my drive.... damn 64 bit systems without a fix xD
Thats a huge problem. The activate ISO only works with Ixtreme 1.6. if you have anything lower it wont work. If you're going to re-flash your drive, flash the new Ixtreme LT on there and you wont need a DVD at all.
What about older firmwares? I bought my 360 on 2006 probably I have the oldest one! xD I wanna play assassins Creed II, I just have to burn that activate iso and play?
No, you have to be flashed to at least 1.6 in order for this to even work. BenQ LT Ixtreme firmware has been released so If you're going to get upgraded go for the latest firmware and don't worry with this disc.

I've patched assassins creed II recently, my xbox recognised that it was the AC II game at the first, but after the "game update" my xbox just don't recognises it anymore, a message pops out saying that the xbox can't read the disk. There is no possible way to change firware through a disc so no it won't change it but you should get 1.6 because it has more stealth feautures unlike the 1.51 capable drives(except Hitachi's).
I didnt hear clearly what u said when you put it the active iso , did you click play dvd or just inserted the active iso and automatically the instruction screen came up ?

I don't remember saying inject i believe i said eject but if its to hard for you to follow then you might want to check for other videos using Image Burn and not CloeCD.

Yes sire until you upgrade to Ixtreme 1.61. take it easy though a lot of people are getting banned and nobody can put their finger on what the problem is for sure.
Ok i'll explain it to you so you're clear. Ixtreme 1.6 was the older firmware that you had to use the activate iso with. The latest version is IXTREME 1.61 ( wave 4 compatible). IF you're still needing to use the activate iso to play the games then that means you have a bad rip of that game and i suggest looking for a different one. If you don't believe check out my video on how to upgrade to 1.61. I put a copy of Tekken 6 in the drive a known wave 4 game(boots right up).
hey mwest i have a benq i had e74 i know i need to put arctic silver paste on the cpu n gpu but instead i put white paste not toothpaste..lol...but white thermo paste...now i got lights and my eject button dont even work do u think that its because of the paste or the xbox just fucked up?
Some of those drives cant be flashed. I believe if it has an August date on them you wont be able to dump the drive. I haven't done a tut for it because i haven't came across one yet. The way things are going flashing might be going extinct.
Everyone that it didn't work for either didn't burn it on a Dual Layer Disc isn't running the right firmware or something is wrong with the game your testing it with.
Well I got my Xbox 360 flash modded like 1 1/2 years ago and my brother told me I can't play the new games because we have to flash mod it again. Is that true? Do I really have to flash mod it again? Anyways, the disk I used was a DVD+R DL and it was a Verbatim. The game I tried it with was Fifa 10. Just came out like last month.
This is easy to clear up. Hitachi's with 1.51 don't need an Activate ISO. Samsung's, BenQ's , Lite-on's with firmware 1.6 need the activate iso to play wave 4 games. You can skip the activate iso if you just upgrade to ixtreme 1.61.
I got it from "Xbins" it came with my ixtreme firmware. If you've never used Xbins before you can search you tube for some tuts on what it is an how to use it.
ok i downloaded the active iso file from the link. it was winrar so i extracted it and its just dvd files.. AUDIO TS and VIDEO TS no iso. someone help me out
Hmmm thats strange. Extract it again or re-download it and then extract it. Have you tried downloading it from any other site? It should just be one file. Are you using Clone CD or image burn to make the dvd?
imgburn its just strange because the main file says activate iso and when i extract its like the inside of a dvd. and i didnt download from anywhere else because i couldnt find it untill this one. if you know of another id appreciate the help
It comes with your ixtreme software. Use "XBINS" if you don't know how to use it or you haven't heard of it search for a tut on youtube. If you're using image burn to make the Activate ISO this tut is not for you I don't want you to waist your Dual Layer disc. Good luck man.
got the disc working i by mistake used a dvd-R disc and not a DL ... kinda hate this put in disc, take out, put in game crap ... btw, to ppl who have benq driver, when you update to the 1.61 ixtrem , and you open your tray after your done or to play a game , does your tray open half way than close by its self real fast

This is a super old technique you need to upgrade your drive to LT+ if you cant get it upgraded your guess is as good as mine.

Clone CD has a disc copy option i would try that. I haven't done it personally but it should make a exact copy of the original. Good luck.

well i tried but it doesnt work. when i put the DVD in the 360 it does everything correctly then when i do the swap it just does that xbox 360 thing.

That can mean a few things.
1. Your drive is not on 1.6.
2. You have a really bad copy of the game and it just wont play.

k well the game is fine because it works with the active iso i already have. and i dont have the latest firmware but with the disk i already have it works fine but when it comes to the active iso's im burning it just seems to not work. it does the put this disk in an xbox 360 console vid. but then it doesnt work when i put the game in. and thank you for all the help :)

OK so thanks for making this video. It helped me out a lot. I have Hitachi drive in a 360 made in 2005. so i have it modded it to 1.51. and you said that i could play wave FOUR games on my hitachi, right? also, i kno that i cannot get 1.6 for the hitachi drive, so should i wait for 1.7 to come out? and should i get 1.7? and will my 360 play wave 5? please help . I download the game burn it . and when i put it my console the xbox 360 logo comes up . then i watch your video and did the same thing i download activate iso and burn it on a disk . as you said: frist i put activate disc and it says( to play this disc put it in an xbox 360) so far so good sounds like i can play the game. Then i open tray put tekken 6 and close tray but i still get that xbox 360 logo nothing changed. can u help . tnx

Yes sire until you upgrade to Ixtreme 1.61. take it easy though a lot of people are getting banned and nobody can put their finger on what the problem is for sure.

Ok i'll explain it to you so you're clear. Ixtreme 1.6 was the older firmware that you had to use the activate iso with. The latest version is IXTREME 1.61 ( wave 4 compatible). IF you're still needing to use the activate iso to play the games then that means you have a bad rip of that game and i suggest looking for a different one. If you don't believe check out my video on how to upgrade to 1.61. I put a copy of Tekken 6 in the drive a known wave 4 game(boots right up).

hey mwest i have a benq i had e74 i know i need to put arctic silver paste on the cpu n gpu but instead i put white paste not toothpaste..lol...but white thermo paste...now i got lights and my eject button dont even work do u think that its because of the paste or the xbox just fucked up?

Some of those drives cant be flashed. I believe if it has an August date on them you wont be able to dump the drive. I haven't done a tut for it because i haven't came across one yet. The way things are going flashing might be going extinct.

Everyone that it didn't work for either didn't burn it on a Dual Layer Disc isn't running the right firmware or something is wrong with the game your testing it with.

Well I got my Xbox 360 flash modded like 1 1/2 years ago and my brother told me I can't play the new games because we have to flash mod it again. Is that true? Do I really have to flash mod it again? Anyways, the disk I used was a DVD+R DL and it was a Verbatim. The game I tried it with was Fifa 10. Just came out like last month.

This is easy to clear up. Hitachi's with 1.51 don't need an Activate ISO. Samsung's, BenQ's , Lite-on's with firmware 1.6 need the activate iso to play wave 4 games. You can skip the activate iso if you just upgrade to ixtreme 1.61.

I got it from "Xbins" it came with my ixtreme firmware. If you've never used Xbins before you can search you tube for some tuts on what it is an how to use it.

ok i downloaded the active iso file from the link. it was winrar so i extracted it and its just dvd files.. AUDIO TS and VIDEO TS no iso. someone help me out

Download image burn so you can see the file as an ISO.

Hmmm thats strange. Extract it again or re-download it and then extract it. Have you tried downloading it from any other site? It should just be one file. Are you using Clone CD or image burn to make the dvd?

imgburn its just strange because the main file says activate iso and when i extract its like the inside of a dvd. and i didnt download from anywhere else because i couldnt find it untill this one. if you know of another id appreciate the help

It comes with your ixtreme software. Use "XBINS" if you don't know how to use it or you haven't heard of it search for a tut on youtube. If you're using image burn to make the Activate ISO this tut is not for you I don't want you to waist your Dual Layer disc. Good luck man.

got the disc working i by mistake used a dvd-R disc and not a DL ... kinda hate this put in disc, take out, put in game crap ... btw, to ppl who have benq driver, when you update to the 1.61 ixtrem , and you open your tray after your done or to play a game , does your tray open half way than close by its self real fast

No, they must be DVD+R DL because Xbox games can't fit onto a normal DVD+R/-R
