I wish they're reliability was higher too. And yeah, in a GL550, you don't ride next to other cars, you ride above them. And that big grille with the huge Mercedes badge in the middle gives it a big presence wherever you go. Geo's are pretty terrible cars, in my opinion. We have a huge Audi dealership, so I've looked at all the types of A8's and I love them, but I'd rather have an S-class or 7-series.
Yea, then they'd do fine. And yea, lol, the stance is really cool, but I wish the interior looked more different than the M- Class. The big badge is really cool, got one on the CLK, the one that sticks up on the hood looks cool too. Geo's are really bad cars, lol, saw one a while back that just smoked in the middle of the hwy. Reminds me of this chevy blazer that just caught on fire one time in my neighborhood. S- Classes are cool, they have that CEO or world leader look to them.
I love the Mercedes hood ornament. Have you seen the demonstration of the S600 Guard? They showed it being shot with high-caliber bullets and small explosives. Pretty impressive. lol. My uncle has a 2005 S430, and he let me drive it one day, and after that I knew I wanted an S-Class. The smoothness of the ride is astonishing. He was doing 110 mph, on the highway and didn't realize it until he looked at the speedo. lol
Yes I have, that's why the world leaders have em, lol. I wanted an S430, but I think I'd look funny driving such a large car like that. People would think I'm a drug dealer or I'm driving my dad's car, lol. Get an S- Class as your next car, like an 03' maybe. But my next car I'd like would be an XJR Jaguar, its always been one of my favorite cars, Supercharged 400 HP V8. The XJR pictures on google just look amazing, especially the front end of them. Good thing about Jags, they depreciate fast.
I've considered an S-Class. Honestly, when I'm going to get a new car, my uncle will probably be getting another one too, so he might give a good deal on his.lol. The XJR is awesome. The interior is amazing. I got to look at an XKR once. It was a 2008 with less than 20,000 miles for $40,000. It was silver. Such a good looking car. I actually see quite a bit of those out on the road, XKR, not XJR.
Thats great, I wish my uncles had better cars, they earn a lot but don't show a lot. I remember last year looking for a car I saw a 98 Jaguar XK8 convertible, beautiful with 46000 miles. Blue on white. It was 8000 dollars I think, but to my dad he was like it's too soon for a car so I waited, and what do you know I got a Merc, my favorite. Jaguars to me are quite special, they have that classy look. My next car will be a XJR hopefully, lol. Everytime I see one, they look so badly taken care of.
The older ones looked great too. And that's a really good price for that. And when people take bad care of really good cars just annoys me. It's a;most like they don't know what they have. I take care of my car like it's a Rolls Royce. lol. Once when I was sitting in a parking lot, I jumped out of my car to stop a shopping cart from hitting the front bumper after someone carelessly pushed it off. lol
Yea they are lol. I mean every time I go to the mall I see these Bmws, Mercedes in such horrible condition, it stuns me. I think after the 3rd or 4th owner gets the car, the car gets mistreated. Another pet peeve is when people put ugly rims on the car, plus those tacky aftermarket LCD screens and tail lights on these cars, save em for the civics, lol. I've done that b4, and I do that too, but I always park far away from other cars. or next to another European car.
Yeah, I hate it when people put tacky things on them like on them, I mean, if the looked good wouldn't they have put them on at the factory? lol My uncles Merc has the, it's not an AMG, but it has the AMG sport package with 19" AMG 10 spoke rims, and they look so amazing. Unfortunately one has to be replaced because it got a bit to close to the curb. I always try to find nice cars to park next to also. I feel that they may have more respect for cars than other people.
yea, it's really rare to see these older european cars in stock condition, like the 90's M3s. The AMG package makes the car look really cool, but I'd think it wouldn't look as good on my CLK, but I like the 17s on mine. Yea, most of the time there is more respect than parking next to something else. It's kinda cool when you come out of the store and see some good brand of car parked next to you.
The CLK's look really cool anyway. I saw a 1990 BMW M3 for sale. It was all original except it racing 5 point safety harnesses in it. It was $20,000, and red, it looked so cool. And it was parked between a 2006 Alpina B7 and an Aston Martin Vanquish, which I got to get in and start, which was awesome. Yeah, I like to see cool cars parked next to me. An older Ferrari was next to us in a parking garage once.
Yealol, I love the pillar less design on the car.Wow that's pretty nice, there was one for sale around me 10,000white, all stock, looked really cool.Next car I think I want is an older car,idk why,lol I saw a 1970 Jag XJ6 for 1800 bucks, looks amazing with whitewalls. Doubt my parents would let me have another car tho. That;s awesome, I wish I had that opportunity. The coolest car that I've been in would be a new Mercedes SL65 AMG, amazing car.Thats amazing, haven't seen many ferraris in a while
I like the old Jags. there's an 80's XJ for sale near me for $2500, I haven't gotten the chance to stop and look at it yet. A guy near me has a 1970 XJ6, but he will not sell it, we asked. lol. It is perfect. The coolest car I've seen in person is a 2010 Bugatti Veyron. I've also seen the new Ferrari California Spyder. I didn't get to sit those though..lol I have been in a Rolls before.
Yea, I love the classics. Wow, I wonder why, and I would love an old Jaguar that was garage kept, in perfect condition. There's only one 70 XJ6 near me, which I wish I can get, 1800 bucks, dam the parents, lol. I got the money but I still don't think they'd let me with more insurance to pay.Wow Bugatti, haven't seen one of those on the road. You should have seen these Lamborghini's that were near me the other day, there were 3, they were beautiful. The older rolls are cheap but not as good looking
That's what my parents are saying about me getting another car, to much insurance. We have quite a few of cars insured and two of them are mine, so I would have to pay insurance. Lamborghini's are some of my favorites. I've only seen a few, someone around me has a yellow Gallardo, that I've seen a couple times, and another has a Countach and a Diablo. I see those two quite a bit in the summer. I really like Rolls Royce's, the one I got to see was the new Ghost. I like it better than the Phantom.
Yea, it really sucks, we have 4 cars but its for each person in the family. Wow lucky 2 cars. I've only seen the gallardos and the diablos, which look very stunning. Personally, I'd take a Bentley over a Rolls Royce, I think the Bentleys have more of a sporty look to them. Rolls Royce's to me kinda look a bit too bulky and too over used by these rap and hip/ hop artists (Don't like rap or hip hop lol)
I like the new Murcielago LP670-4 SV. To bad they're going to stop making it. I prefer Bentley too, especially the Continental GT and Brooklands. I also like the old Turbo R, they are actually priced pretty good, but they're to old-fashion looking for me. A dealership near me had a 2003 Arnage with 9000 miles for $99,000. It was cool, someone down the road a ways from me bought it, so I still see it around occasionally. Such a good looking car.
Its disappointing that they aren't gonna make these cool cars. The Continental GT is my favorite along with the Arnage. Yea they are a bit old fashioned, lol. They have a silver spur for sale for like 12,000 dollars with 80,000 miles, I forgot which year, but it doesn't look too great. Wow 99,000 dam, lol, but Arnage's are great.
The speed of Bentley's are rather good as well. The GT can reach something like 195, and the Arnage around 175, from what I hear. The Arnage isn't to slow for 2.5 ton car, but I guess that's what the 6.75 liter V8 is for. lol The test done by "Top Gear" on the Arnage is really good, seeing that big thing power sliding always makes my day. lol. The one near me is black with tan interior, such a good combination on that car.
Dam, that's pretty nice when most cars can only top 150 or 155. 175 ain't bad either. But I could only see those cars cruising around, not battling other cars on the track, lol. I need to see that episode of Top Gear, lol, seems awesome. Most of them are black with tan interior, the tan interior gives the car the classy, elegant look that most people want.
Oh yeah, I'd say that's good for a car that weighs the same as an SUV. lol That speed is pretty useless for that type of car, like you said, its more for cruising. lol I'll see if I can send you the link to that portion of the episode. Those color combos are the classiest looking in my opinion as well.
Yea, lol, it is good for a car that weighs the same as an SUV. But it's still really cool, I can't believe for the episode with the Continental GT, Bentley told them not to go fast with it. Personally for the arnage in the top gear episode, I hated that green, probably cause it looked dirty. The blue one they had inside looked hot. I think it would look good in a gray color.
Yeah, it's such a cool car. I haven't seen that one. That green was not a good color for that car, I think most of the cars that they let Jeremy or Richard test are pretty bad colors. lol But the ones that the Stig drives are always really cool. That blue was an awesome color. They look pretty good in white too, I believe.
Green was not, lol, I mean I think it just depends on how clean it is and the light that shines on it. Yea mostly, lol, but I don't mind, it's still a cool show. They got a 9-5 and a 9-3 episode of top gear if you didn't see it, it's pretty cool they got the jet to compete with the 9-5 lol.I haven't seen fifth gear in a while. White looks good on mostly everything, but gets dirty way too easily. I actually wanted a white car, white, red, or black, lol.
Oh, yeah, It's one of my favorites shows, but unfortunately I don't get BBC, so I have to watch episodes in parts on here. lol. I have seen the one with the 9-5, which I was surprised Jeremy liked it, but I haven't seen the 9-3 one. I like Fifth Gear for the crash tests they do.(still like top gear better though.) I like white too, my 9-5 is white. When it gets dirty, with salt and all that now, it turns almost gray. lol Those were my color preferences also. I really like black leather too.
Yea it is one of my favorite shows too,I used to just download them and watch em,but then I found out youtube had em.Idk if I have BBC or not,I think I do but idk when they air it. It's a cool car, which is why like I mentioned before I wanted one, lol. They have a 9-3 ep on youtube but it's in some foreign language.Yea I like Fifth Gears real event tests, like the motorway pile up one.Yeahate the salt, and the dirty melted water on the road after a snowstorm.Black andred are my favorite 4 leather.
I watched the first couple of minutes of the 9-3 one you're talking about and tried to guess what he was saying, but I couldn't lol. I actually was going to show the motorway pile up vid for a speech I did on motorway safety, but I couldn't. The crash they did between the old Volvo and a newer car, I can't remember what it was, really surprised me. The Volvo completely failed. The dirty water is nasty. My brother's black Mazda gets covered by the salt and turns white lol.
Lol, I tried to, but I couldn't either, the guy wouldn't upload the english version, so I was like whatever. It wasn't that video, it was another one, I'll just send it to you, it's really interesting, and the one with the SUV and a smaller car colliding was creepy. I think it was a Volvo and a BMW I think, I'll look it up. It is nasty, and yea dark colors and salt isn't a good combination, lol. I can't believe my rims are still clean, even when they've been in the elements.
Yeah I've seen the ones you sent me, they are pretty creepy. I've seen the BMW and Volvo one too, the one I was talking about was between a Volvo 940 and a Renault. My rims get pretty nasty but they are really easy to clean being they are just the 5 spoke.
Yea, it is. And the one with the Renault and Volvo was crazy, the Renault just like destroyed the Volvo. The SUV one was just as bad, the Mitsubishi just like annihilated the Civic. but Civics aren't very strong in general though. Mine are 5 spokes too, I love em.
Yeah, that actually surprised me, I thought the older Volvo's were a lot stronger. My neighbors wrapped their Volvo 850 Turbo around a tree after hydroplaning off the road a long time ago, and the worst injury was a broken arm by the driver. So I guess that's when the started getting safer. I don't know much about Volvo's. Yeah, Civics never were to strong.
I thought so too, well I think pretty much the older European cars were the best for safety. Nowadays the bodies are like plastic I guess. I thought Saabs and Volvos were like the safest car, right next to the other European cars. Volvos have pretty cool cars, like the S60R, which I wanted too, looks awesome in red. I mean most of these economy cars were never strong, and they keep saying teenagers have the most fatalities driving, cause most are driving civics.
I read an ad once that said the Saab 9-5 was the safest car in Sweden. I believe that. I've seen a video of a Saab that rolled three times and the sunroof didn't even break. They are two of the safest car makers in the world. I wanted a blue S60R. I looked at a regular S60, but my mom hated it, so I didn't look at any others. Yeah, that's true, my parents wanted safety over cost, so they let me go with luxury cars.
Yea, they probably are, wow thats one strong car then lol. I remember one of my teachers a while back had a 9000CS, she would talk about that car nonstop about how it's so tough. That car was cool tho, it was a tank. Wow never knew they made a blue S60R, but the S60's aren't too bad. I like the interior and the exterior look. I remember my parents test driving one a while back, and the engine sounded really cool. Yea safety, reliability, style, fun to drive was the most important for us.
I know someone that has a 9000. They're pretty cool. Yeah, I saw a blue on for sale online, but it was to far away, so I couldn't go see it. I really like the exterior of the S60. the one we looked at was black, such a good color for that car. Those were the same qualities we were looking for in a car.
Yea, I like em, except for the interior, which looks a bit weird, lol. It sucks when the cars too far away, especially when you don't know your way around the place. We ended up in the ghetto after look at a 740i, our dam GPS. lol. The exterior looks really sporty, black isn't bad, but I think the silver is a good color for them. Price was an important matter too, I still kinda wish I got the convertible version of my car, but I still love my car.
The 9000 interior is a bit weird. I found a 2006 9-5 Aero for $12,000, and I definitely could have gotten it, but it was 400 miles away. lol Yeah the S60 is really sporty looking. Silver is a good color too. I like convertibles but I think some of them would be hard to live with. I'm sure some are fine year-round. I'd like to get an older 3-series convertible for another fun weekend car. I just think they would be a fun car to have.
Yea it is, and there was one just like that around here, it didn't look too bad. 400 miles is a far drive lol. Yea, I like the 5 cylinder engine in it, and silvers good but too popular nowadays. Convertibles are cool to have in the warm days, but winter days you can always keep the top up, they are nicely insulated.I would like an older 3 convertible, saw one for 5000, I was hoping my dad could buy it to teach me a stick shift with it, its a 99 323ic sport with 106k miles.
Yeah, a little bit to far. lol The 5 cylinder is pretty cool. Yeah, I would only use a convertible on warm days, it would wait in the garage in the winter. I've actually been in a convertible. I found an early 90's 3-Series convertible for like $1800. I wanted to get this '89 Saab 900 turbo convertible for $1000. It need a bit of work, but not to much.
Yea, love the 5 cylinders, makes a good noise. I'd still drive the convertible year round, I've seen people have the top down at 30 degree weather, lol. Wow, that's a pretty good deal for an E30, they pretty much last forever. Well, both are good cars which will last, but I'd get the one in better condition.
Yeah, I've seen those people too. lol. Yeah, it wasn't in great shape, but definitely better than the Saab. My grandpa's friend has an '80-something 3-series, and it's been the best car he's had. He drives it more than his 2001 5-series. Unfortunately both have already sold, but the BMW's aren't too hard to find.
lol, I'd try it, but it would be like freezing. Well like I said either one isn't bad as long as you take care of it. I've seen E30 3 series last 300,000 miles plus, same goes for these older Benz's and Saabs. I actually wanted a 5 series too, an 01, they look good with the sport package. BMWs are hard to find with the stuff you want, lol, well for me like the nav, and sport package.
thats why I bought one, lol, they are so rare around where I live, but its cool being special. And yes those are so beautiful, I love the rims of the S63's, along with the power that I've been hearing about
The CLK's are pretty rare just about anywhere. I'd have to say, I'm a Mercedes guy. And yes the S63 is very powerful, it makes 518 horsepower from its hand-built 6.3 liter V8. I'm probably going to get a newer C350 as my next car. I just love the looks and the 268 hp V6.
Yea, I always see the older W208 models running around, but rarely the W209's like mine. I did see a CLK350 the other day, in a beautiful red color, but it was dirty. The thing I like about having a Mercedes is that they give you a car wash after anything you get done at the dealer, well depending on the dealer. When I went to Germany, all I saw were the S- Class's, A8's, 7 series, it was amazing, along with a couple other european cars. It was basically my heaven, haha. The C350 is pretty cool
haha, in certain areas near me all you see are Lexus LS's, Mercedes S-class, all types of BMW's, and Saabs. We have just about every make dealer around here, 2 BMW dealerships, a place that sells Mercedes, Ferrari, and Bentley, a huge Lexus dealership, and a complex that sells Saab, Audi, Porsche, Land Rover, and Jaguar. There's a huge array of luxury cars around here, so you never know what you'll see. lol I love it.
lol. thats practically my neighborhood, except not too many Saabs. Saabs aren't too popular around where I live except in the next town over where there's quite a few of them running around. Wow, that's pretty nice, we have this one dealer that sells stuff like that too, except Saabs (closed down a while back). My father wants to buy an LR but reliability is just bad, lol, but they can go anywhere. And yea I get so distracted when I drive when I see new cars, especially the really exotic ones.
Having dealerships like that around is really nice on those days where you have nothing else to do. lol. We've looked at Land Rovers, LR3, but like you said, reliability is low, and repair costs are really high. I think we're going with a Mercedes GL550 for our next family car. I get distracted by nice cars when I'm driving too, I almost rear-ended a Geo because I was looking at a brand new Audi A8L with the W12 that passed by. lol
I think the LR3 is too boxy, lol, and yea repair costs are a bit high, I wish they'd step up the reliability of their cars. If they did, they'd be selling lots of them. The GL550's awesome, the size is just gigantic, love it. Wow a Geo, those are so ghetto, a while back we had one as a rental car for some odd reason that I can't remember. I was like I forgot how old, but I thought it was cool cause it took up half a space in our garage. I love the A8's, but just the short wheelbase ones mostly.

The Arnage isn't to slow for 2.5 ton car, but I guess that's what the 6.75 liter V8 is for. lol The test done by "Top Gear" on the Arnage is really good, seeing that big thing power sliding always makes my day. lol. The one near me is black with tan interior, such a good combination on that car.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Dam, that's pretty nice when most cars can only top 150 or 155. 175 ain't bad either. But I could only see those cars cruising around, not battling other cars on the track, lol. I need to see that episode of Top Gear, lol, seems awesome. Most of them are black with tan interior, the tan interior gives the car the classy, elegant look that most people want.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Oh yeah, I'd say that's good for a car that weighs the same as an SUV. lol That speed is pretty useless for that type of car, like you said, its more for cruising. lol I'll see if I can send you the link to that portion of the episode. Those color combos are the classiest looking in my opinion as well.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea, lol, it is good for a car that weighs the same as an SUV. But it's still really cool, I can't believe for the episode with the Continental GT, Bentley told them not to go fast with it. Personally for the arnage in the top gear episode, I hated that green, probably cause it looked dirty. The blue one they had inside looked hot. I think it would look good in a gray color.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Yeah, it's such a cool car. I haven't seen that one. That green was not a good color for that car, I think most of the cars that they let Jeremy or Richard test are pretty bad colors. lol But the ones that the Stig drives are always really cool. That blue was an awesome color. They look pretty good in white too, I believe.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Green was not, lol, I mean I think it just depends on how clean it is and the light that shines on it. Yea mostly, lol, but I don't mind, it's still a cool show. They got a 9-5 and a 9-3 episode of top gear if you didn't see it, it's pretty cool they got the jet to compete with the 9-5 lol.I haven't seen fifth gear in a while. White looks good on mostly everything, but gets dirty way too easily. I actually wanted a white car, white, red, or black, lol.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Oh, yeah, It's one of my favorites shows, but unfortunately I don't get BBC, so I have to watch episodes in parts on here. lol. I have seen the one with the 9-5, which I was surprised Jeremy liked it, but I haven't seen the 9-3 one. I like Fifth Gear for the crash tests they do.(still like top gear better though.) I like white too, my 9-5 is white. When it gets dirty, with salt and all that now, it turns almost gray. lol Those were my color preferences also. I really like black leather too.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea it is one of my favorite shows too,I used to just download them and watch em,but then I found out youtube had em.Idk if I have BBC or not,I think I do but idk when they air it. It's a cool car, which is why like I mentioned before I wanted one, lol. They have a 9-3 ep on youtube but it's in some foreign language.Yea I like Fifth Gears real event tests, like the motorway pile up one.Yeahate the salt, and the dirty melted water on the road after a snowstorm.Black andred are my favorite 4 leather.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
I watched the first couple of minutes of the 9-3 one you're talking about and tried to guess what he was saying, but I couldn't lol. I actually was going to show the motorway pile up vid for a speech I did on motorway safety, but I couldn't. The crash they did between the old Volvo and a newer car, I can't remember what it was, really surprised me. The Volvo completely failed. The dirty water is nasty. My brother's black Mazda gets covered by the salt and turns white lol.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Lol, I tried to, but I couldn't either, the guy wouldn't upload the english version, so I was like whatever. It wasn't that video, it was another one, I'll just send it to you, it's really interesting, and the one with the SUV and a smaller car colliding was creepy. I think it was a Volvo and a BMW I think, I'll look it up. It is nasty, and yea dark colors and salt isn't a good combination, lol. I can't believe my rims are still clean, even when they've been in the elements.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Yeah I've seen the ones you sent me, they are pretty creepy. I've seen the BMW and Volvo one too, the one I was talking about was between a Volvo 940 and a Renault. My rims get pretty nasty but they are really easy to clean being they are just the 5 spoke.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea, it is. And the one with the Renault and Volvo was crazy, the Renault just like destroyed the Volvo. The SUV one was just as bad, the Mitsubishi just like annihilated the Civic. but Civics aren't very strong in general though. Mine are 5 spokes too, I love em.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Yeah, that actually surprised me, I thought the older Volvo's were a lot stronger. My neighbors wrapped their Volvo 850 Turbo around a tree after hydroplaning off the road a long time ago, and the worst injury was a broken arm by the driver. So I guess that's when the started getting safer. I don't know much about Volvo's. Yeah, Civics never were to strong.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
I thought so too, well I think pretty much the older European cars were the best for safety. Nowadays the bodies are like plastic I guess. I thought Saabs and Volvos were like the safest car, right next to the other European cars. Volvos have pretty cool cars, like the S60R, which I wanted too, looks awesome in red. I mean most of these economy cars were never strong, and they keep saying teenagers have the most fatalities driving, cause most are driving civics.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
I read an ad once that said the Saab 9-5 was the safest car in Sweden. I believe that. I've seen a video of a Saab that rolled three times and the sunroof didn't even break. They are two of the safest car makers in the world. I wanted a blue S60R. I looked at a regular S60, but my mom hated it, so I didn't look at any others. Yeah, that's true, my parents wanted safety over cost, so they let me go with luxury cars.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea, they probably are, wow thats one strong car then lol. I remember one of my teachers a while back had a 9000CS, she would talk about that car nonstop about how it's so tough. That car was cool tho, it was a tank. Wow never knew they made a blue S60R, but the S60's aren't too bad. I like the interior and the exterior look. I remember my parents test driving one a while back, and the engine sounded really cool. Yea safety, reliability, style, fun to drive was the most important for us.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
I know someone that has a 9000. They're pretty cool. Yeah, I saw a blue on for sale online, but it was to far away, so I couldn't go see it. I really like the exterior of the S60. the one we looked at was black, such a good color for that car. Those were the same qualities we were looking for in a car.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea, I like em, except for the interior, which looks a bit weird, lol. It sucks when the cars too far away, especially when you don't know your way around the place. We ended up in the ghetto after look at a 740i, our dam GPS. lol. The exterior looks really sporty, black isn't bad, but I think the silver is a good color for them. Price was an important matter too, I still kinda wish I got the convertible version of my car, but I still love my car.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
The 9000 interior is a bit weird. I found a 2006 9-5 Aero for $12,000, and I definitely could have gotten it, but it was 400 miles away. lol Yeah the S60 is really sporty looking. Silver is a good color too. I like convertibles but I think some of them would be hard to live with. I'm sure some are fine year-round. I'd like to get an older 3-series convertible for another fun weekend car. I just think they would be a fun car to have.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea it is, and there was one just like that around here, it didn't look too bad. 400 miles is a far drive lol. Yea, I like the 5 cylinder engine in it, and silvers good but too popular nowadays. Convertibles are cool to have in the warm days, but winter days you can always keep the top up, they are nicely insulated.I would like an older 3 convertible, saw one for 5000, I was hoping my dad could buy it to teach me a stick shift with it, its a 99 323ic sport with 106k miles.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Yeah, a little bit to far. lol The 5 cylinder is pretty cool. Yeah, I would only use a convertible on warm days, it would wait in the garage in the winter. I've actually been in a convertible. I found an early 90's 3-Series convertible for like $1800. I wanted to get this '89 Saab 900 turbo convertible for $1000. It need a bit of work, but not to much.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea, love the 5 cylinders, makes a good noise. I'd still drive the convertible year round, I've seen people have the top down at 30 degree weather, lol. Wow, that's a pretty good deal for an E30, they pretty much last forever. Well, both are good cars which will last, but I'd get the one in better condition.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Yeah, I've seen those people too. lol. Yeah, it wasn't in great shape, but definitely better than the Saab. My grandpa's friend has an '80-something 3-series, and it's been the best car he's had. He drives it more than his 2001 5-series. Unfortunately both have already sold, but the BMW's aren't too hard to find.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
lol, I'd try it, but it would be like freezing.

CLK is one of my favorite Mercedes. i really want an S63 AMG though.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
thats why I bought one, lol, they are so rare around where I live, but its cool being special. And yes those are so beautiful, I love the rims of the S63's, along with the power that I've been hearing about
TheJumper01 2 years ago
The CLK's are pretty rare just about anywhere. I'd have to say, I'm a Mercedes guy. And yes the S63 is very powerful, it makes 518 horsepower from its hand-built 6.3 liter V8. I'm probably going to get a newer C350 as my next car. I just love the looks and the 268 hp V6.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
Yea, I always see the older W208 models running around, but rarely the W209's like mine. I did see a CLK350 the other day, in a beautiful red color, but it was dirty. The thing I like about having a Mercedes is that they give you a car wash after anything you get done at the dealer, well depending on the dealer. When I went to Germany, all I saw were the S- Class's, A8's, 7 series, it was amazing, along with a couple other european cars. It was basically my heaven, haha. The C350 is pretty cool
TheJumper01 2 years ago
haha, in certain areas near me all you see are Lexus LS's, Mercedes S-class, all types of BMW's, and Saabs. We have just about every make dealer around here, 2 BMW dealerships, a place that sells Mercedes, Ferrari, and Bentley, a huge Lexus dealership, and a complex that sells Saab, Audi, Porsche, Land Rover, and Jaguar. There's a huge array of luxury cars around here, so you never know what you'll see. lol I love it.
jrodigan5 2 years ago
lol. thats practically my neighborhood, except not too many Saabs.
TheJumper01 2 years ago
Having dealerships like that around is really nice on those days where you have nothing else to do. lol. We've looked at Land Rovers, LR3, but like you said, reliability is low, and repair costs are really high. I think we're going with a Mercedes GL550 for our next family car. I get distracted by nice cars when I'm driving too, I almost rear-ended a Geo because I was looking at a brand new Audi A8L with the W12 that passed by. lol
jrodigan5 2 years ago
I think the LR3 is too boxy, lol, and yea repair costs are a bit high, I wish they'd step up the reliability of their cars. If they did, they'd be selling lots of them. The GL550's awesome, the size is just gigantic, love it. Wow a Geo, those are so ghetto, a while back we had one as a rental car for some odd reason that I can't remember. I was like I forgot how old, but I thought it was cool cause it took up half a space in our garage. I love the A8's, but just the short wheelbase ones mostly.
