  • this is uncanny how this fits........

maybe howell based it on this? or just coincidence. we may never know......

  • actually goes pretty well :D

  • Hah, I like the match up.

  • i'm not sure wether the music watches well with the visuals. the music is very "open" while the visuals are very "trapped"!!

  • Fits very well indeed! Nice work...

  • Possibly the best titles. I've always preferred Doctor Who psychedelic.

  • the best titels hah well what about series 4 titels and new theme and what about the sixth doctors and sevenths doctor who theme

  • I've never thought this would happen, but there you go.

  • And slightly with the logo

  • You're right... the entrance of the face DOES match with the start of the melody!

  • hah i think the howell theme matches the pertwee version

  • isn't it peter davison?

  • Howell is the name of the composer, not the doctor that had the theme. Also Tom Baker had the theme as well in his last 2 years as the doctor.

  • Ah, got it now.

  • @pcfan10 it is peter davidson, but peter howell is the man who composed this title music.

  • WOW - the Howell theme tune fits in with the Pertwee title sequence really well!

  • where did you get the clean intro?

  • It's a hidden feature on the Carnival of Monsters DVD if I'm not mistaken.

  • How did you get it off the dvd?

  • To be honest, I can't really remember. I've had all the title sequences stored on my hard drive for ages now. There are numerous pieces of DVD extraction software out there -- I'm sure you'll find one that works for you.

  • Will you let me know if you remember what you used?

  • Sure thing!

  • I had to do DVD extraction to get my video of the brown/orange Tom Baker intro that I put up recently. All I'll say is that the bigger challenge is not decrypting the video but getting that raw data into an editing program. I find Nero works well as a video editor of such things. Nero Vision is good at manipulating raw DVD stuff. Its up to you to figure out how to get the data (and no, Nero will NOT do it for you.)
