  • Her isolations are so precise. One of my favourite belly dancers. :)

  • best bellydancer ever ♥

  • la cancion se llama Bloody Tsamikos

  • The way she dresses totally reminds me of someone from the movie Waterworld, I love it! I honestly believe she was a snake in her past life! So seductive and mesmerizing.

  • Such a gorgeous dance to a gorgeous song! Love Rachel.

  • lovely and seductive...this beautiful lady can dance to all styles..all beats....

  • wish there was a love thumbs up

  • For some reason tribal just doesn't appeal to me it's very boring to watch at times, and I am a belly dancer myself and it's just boring to watch. Fast beats and Darbuka are so much funner although she is a good belly dancer, just way to technical and stiff for my taste

  • @prettycool997 WOW!!! you are one of the few person who just mentions his/her own opinion without taking a person or style completely down (from all criticism I've see so far)! I like that! not that I agree.. but hey it's an opinion! (iknow my whole comment is actually pretty useless.. but I just wanted to say it)

  • Anyone know the song ?

  • wish i could dance like her.. so nice! congrats!

  • @MariahKarla I'm sorry people are answering to your comments, obvious troll.

  • Sublime movements and natural transitions! I just felt her dance like the art of an original bellydance where the dancer has become the movement and beauty in itself.

How many of us would love to master this dance like Rachel does so "wavely"! She is air, ocean, waves, breeze....

  • I really want to learn how to drop to the knees... like you do around 1:18. ANyone have any tips?

  • i love it ... amazing performance ♥

  • What is the music? i like it. Thanks!

  • Alguien sabe el nombre de esta canción?

  • The music is called Bloody Tsamikos by Daniel Scott Cantrell. It's available for download on Amazon.com

  • Mesmerizing...I am in LOVE!

  • I love her style of dance..... so amazing. It's inspired me to begin lessons in baton rouge in january. i've wanted to learn belly dancing since i was a child (no lie).... I'm 41 now.... rachel has inspired me to finally DO IT!!! :)

  • woooooooooooooow

  • :O yoo quero bailar!!!! jajajaj

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe a stupid question, but is this song an extremely slow hava nagila?

  • I love it <3

  • Rachel Brice is my absolute favourite tribal fusion belly dancer. She's amazing!

  • does anyone know what this music is?

  • @00LadyStardust Wish I did... wish I did. Might be a live improv in some song style, but idf it is a recording the audio quality is amazing.

  • @00LadyStardust did you find what the music is?

  • Dan Cantrell

  • The elegance in every move, the rythym in each beat, the strength in each move, this is beautiful. Rachel Brice is definetly a belly dancer to look up to. I am not envious of her talent, but grateful for she inspires me.

  • she is AMAZING!!!...

  • I love her outfit!

  • I love that music!!!!!

  • I know this girl, she's a belly dancer. She's the prettiest, most gorgeous girl ive ever seen, she's really good at dancing and one day shell be as good as Rachel :)

  • I may be a classical belly dancer but I can tell you for sure Rachel Brice is amazing and humble. She has a firm handshake and a big smile for everyone she meets. A cultured woman, studies werent just in Arabic dance but also in African and Eastern dance and she was originally a disciple of yoga. this woman has a Qu'ran adage of what it means to be dedicated tattoo all over her hips. Even if you do not wish to emulate this style, one can learn so much from someone with such a powerful spirit.

  • @PearlLasky

While I agree with most of what you say, you're incorrect about RB's tattoo. It is not from the Qu'ran, it comes from a Yoga Sutra. It's in Sanskrit (not Arabic) and it reads, "Practice becomes firmly grounded when continued for a long time, consistently, with reverent devotion." The information comes from an interview with Rachel Brice, where she jokingly refers to the tattoo as a post it note to remind her of her goals.

  • baila hermoso y puede y puede mover su vientre solo sin mover sus caderas muy bueno

  • looks like klezmer music / jewish music to me

  • please please i does anyone know the name of this song

  • I've had the great opportunity and pleasure to record many belly dance performances. This dancer and the video photography are masterful. A YouTube treasure.

  • Somebody knows what is that song?? Is amazing!

  • Do you know what music this is? It doesn't sound like usual belly dancing music at all. Sounds like Romanian Gipsy music, either Hora or Bulgar.

  • watch?v=3s0blhYVUQA

  • Ever seen something so beautiful it made you want to cry? I just did.

  • soooo goood *.* ...love it!!!

  • uuuuuuuuuu m encanto ese video un 10

  • I am absolutely DYING to know what this song is...if anyone knows please tell! Thanks! :)

  • Does anyone know this song? I would love to have this in my repertoire ...

  • Awesome and definitely the best at this style but the belly dancing aspect is oookay. I respect fushion dance but I'm a traditionalist when it comes to Raqs Sharqi/Raqs Baladi.

  • @RaffoulKhouryRima /you're/ scary, and I don't understand what /you're/ trying to do.

  • What song is this-anybody know?

  • She's amazing!! Do anyone else ever wonder if your parents wish you were more talented?

  • Oh wow... I have never been obsessed with someone before :) She is so very incredible... It is like she is doing magic when she dances. I have never been so impressed

  • Rachel is amazing. I wish she would have worn a costume that was more traditional to the music though.

  • Five fat women don't like this.

  • @m1ghtysauc3 ha :)

  • If "Tribal Fusion" dancers are offended at being called "bellydancers" then they better stop touring with "Bellydance Superstars" then....who Brice herself toured with for many years...she a very sweet lady met her several times and amazing dancer...All the "Tribal Fusion" dancers I ever met were at "bellydancing" events(including Haflas) and had no issue with being called that..

  • its tribal fusion bellydance...Rachel Brice is the best :) I love watching and learning from her :)

  • what music is she dancing to? it's wonderful :)

  • @spg35fem Bloody Tsamikos by Daniel Scott Cantrell

  • amazing

  • I had the chance to take a workshop from Rachel Brice. She has a aura that is amazing. Love her! Skilled beyond knowledge.

  • @SNJ1975 really????? lucky you!!! that's so cool! haha :D

  • boner!! and im not even a guy.

  • Roberta Lurnel, a Rachel Brice ela foi minha professora e esta foi minha ultima apresentação, espero que voce aprecie...

  • Woah Woah Woah! What's up with all the playa hatin'??? Like I've said before, belly dance does not consist of one style. It itself is very eclectic and pulls from different dance styles of different regions all over the world. Now as far as the ego thing, hey, if you feel like you are the poo, then go ahead, strut it :D (That goes to all dancers) But remember, stay humble!

  • Name of the son, please?!! thank you! have a lovely day!

  • You've to experience it yourself to understand it.

Lov yourself, this is lov true.

    Márcia Abreu.

  • what's the name of this song???

  • Is she even doing this style anymore?

  • Idiot this is not bellydance its tribal fusion

  • @dankish497 yeah, they're even using the violin as the lead. Plus, she is way too accessorized for typical belly dancing. On the bright side, her moves were good for the type she was doing.

  • @Yukaide the accesories are based on Indian tradition, women wear jewerly on every limb and nose. the jewerly is a gift of protection ..Now if you wanna grasp at straws to say Rachel isnt a belly dancer, you can also say neither is Suhalia, Carolena N., Sadie are not "belly dancers" too, because they have taken other elements&brought it to their dance. for that matter, what IS authentic belly dance? since it was created over 5,000 years ago & took influence from many nomadic people & cultures

  • @Yukaide What exactly is authentic? seeing as everything has taken influence. belly dance is in its truest form, a social dance, where people see something from one dance and teach it to another...thats tribal, unity. what rachel is doing is tribal fusion but make no mistake it is also belly dance. the core of her training is belly dance. *ok off my little soap box*

  • @dankish497 ummm... ok, but tribal fushion IS bellydancing.

  • @thefranster14 mmmmm..... NOT

  • Who said their back hurts looking at her? It's not my back that's hurting.

  • 1:10 God, my back hurts a LOT just seeing her! Amazing!

  • @solnegrolunaroja

I know! I was stunned when I saw that drop! Exquisite. I'm an amateur belly dancer but I could NEVER do a bend like that because of my back.

  • @Voileen :'( At least you dance! I'm a man and a very inflexible one. I wish I had that flexibility, I would use it for martial arts, seeing her I feel I totally suck! :)

  • @solnegrolunaroja

haha! that's ok. there are many forms of dance! Some that don't need much flexibility at all. I have fibryomialgia so its hard for me to even belly dance but I do it anyways because I love it! I'll never be very good, but who cares ;) You can just enjoy the lovely ladies out there who do it well!

  • @Voileen I think the same, I'll try to do what I do best, the rest is up to the power rangers :D

  • rachel brice is incredible. first, she's discovered she can move he body with incredible muscle control. she's a machine! she executes every move perfectly, cleanly, and interprets the music beautifully.

  • :O!!! te amo (:

  • .....point of view, dance & dance interpretation is (as many things in life are) subjective. That being said, please feel free to show me your dance style/technique or what you believe to be a/the true art form of dance. I assure that I will view it with a discerning & unbiased eye!

  • @MariahKarla

I, like guttrsweet, am also curious in the matter of your dance style/technique! I do not make my comment in anger, resentment, or animosity.....as i stated before, i am merely curious as to what you consider true "dance". I myself am not a dancer, but I do have a discerning enough eye to see talent & give credit to whomever or wherever it is due. In the case of Ms. Brice, i feel it appropriate to afford her credit for her talent! Though, some may not see eye-to-eye w/one another's

  • @celestialrave open minded and tolerant. Good for you. Dances and approaches to dance are many. When you enter the world of dance, it depends on your approach to go thru the adequate process. There are levels and levels. Most of the people stops in the physicality but that's just the skin. If you want to evolve you've to get rid of your ego, to not get stuck in that part that's contaminate by self-absorption. You've to experience it yourself to understand it. Cheers.

  • @MariahKarla i dunno whether to laugh, cry, or pity your great sense of logic.

  • love the song, r.b. rocks

  • @Miss0Red

If you have poor backbending technique and/or don't stretch properly, then yes, it will hurt.

  • Every time I watch a video from her, I'm always wondering if her back hurts or not. Seems like it is very very painful (I'm doing bellydance, so I know that actually it doesn't hurt, but I cannot get rid of the idea of it)

  • "Clapping" "

    "Ovation"

    Rachel Brice, you are amazing!!!!

  • @MariahKarla

Are you serious?? I have an idea. Why don't you post a video of yourself 'dancing' and let us critique your 'art'?

    I promise I'll be honest...

  • @guttrsweet Yes, I'm serious. If your answer is based in anger, as it shows, you can't be honest. Promise things you can't deliver it's not good. I don't mind if you like Rachel's "dance", in the matter of fact, I understand that kind of choice, really. For me, Dance comes from your bond with the music, not from showing your ego and how comfortable you're being watched. I think different and that's good. You think different and that's good too. Cheers.

  • @MariahKarla

My answer was not based on 'anger' AT ALL. and after reading my comment, I don't see how you got the emotion 'anger' out of it... more like curiosity. .. I am very curious to see what you call dance. So if you are, in fact, a dancer, I would love to check out your style to see where you're coming from.

See, I always look at every side. I see the 'ego' that you speak of emanating from Rachel. But that is well earned ego. She is the best at what she does.

  • @MariahKarla I'd rather watch a dancer who's full of herself then one who isn't, because those who aren't are what I like to call "boring."

  • @MariahKarla Yes, we are all entitled to an opinion. However, as an artist and a dancer myself, I don't appreciate it when your opinion seems to come from a narrow-minded, pretentious place. For you, connoisseur seems to be just a fancy way of saying "purist snob." This is meant to be art, to fascinate. If you can't at the very least respect these different forms and not feel the need to criticize them every chance you get, then maybe you should't be doing this.

  • @MariahKarla Furthermore, I would like to say that, as a dancer and professional actress and singer, I am very tired of running into people like you: people who are so stuck on their particular form that if they see someone doing anything different, they freak. That the beauty of art, that it can be done so many different ways. Not only are you aggravating and possibly insulting your peers, but your also seriously putting off non-artistic folks as well, And THIS is why people can't stand us.

  • @ELeeHamm Personally, I thank you for your response on this. In watching Belly dance videos, I have fallen in love with Rachel. With her, it's a dance that focuses on the strength and agility of the body - not just shaking it for the men to applaud. Perhaps hers is not traditional belly dance, but it is in it's core essence folk dance. And that's even better, I think.

  • @MariahKarla Honestly? Stop trolling all the Rachel Brice videos. If that's all you have to do with your time it's really kind of sad. Instead find dancers that you like and look at those. BTW met both Brice and Sharon Kihara at workshops and they are probably the most down to earth people one can meet. Don't judge solely based on a video

  • @AllyseFrancis Trolling? What does it mean? I came here sparely. Sad? Sadness is to see angered fanatics that can not take a comment from people that think different and dare to speak. I don't mind if you like Rachel's "dance", in the matter of fact, I understand that kind of choice, really. For me, Dance comes from your bond with the music, not from showing your ego and how comfortable you're being watched. I think different and that's good. You think different and that's good too. Cheers.

  • @MariahKarla Seeing your comments on pretty much every Brice and Kihara video is not "sparely" I respect your opinion on thier styles but going on every single video and spouting your beliefs is not necessary. It's a waste of your time:

Why watch Rachel when you can just watch another dancer who "conncets to the music" as you so fondly explain it.

PS Trolling is posting on several different videos basically with the same negative comment.

    CHEERS! :)

  • @AllyseFrancis When people don't like what they're reading they can take many paths. Anger can cloud your judgement. Be calm. I haven't commented on EVERY video. I understand I touched a nerve because she's the best you know but lying and fighting about this? That's not good. Relax. By the way... 3 months since my last comment. See? Sparely. My life isn't the internet. Cheers.

  • @MariahKarla

Obviously I didn't mean EVERY single video, but you've commented on your fair share of videos. As for paths the same goes with viewing a video. Instead of choosing to not watch Rachel's videos and instead watch someone you do like. You not only took the time to look BUT also comment on several with negative responses. I am calm, I'm just amazed that you would take the time to comment so profusely on a dancer you clearly do not like.

  • @guttrsweet

If you really want to talk about someone with a BIG EGO that comes thru in their dance, look at Sharon Kihara. I can barely watch her cause she is so into herself.

You just came of with a tinge of jealousy in your post. I mean really, calling her a 'worm'. YOU and everyone else know that just IS NOT true.

As I stated before, if you truly are a dance artist, please, I would LOVE to check out your style. AND YES, I WILL be honest.

  • @guttrsweet It's just basic psychology; what you said is the adult equivalent to "I don't like what you're saying so shut up!", nobody can expect honesty from that. Jealousy means that you want something that belongs to another person then no, I'm not jealous at all. I don't understand what is all the fuss about unless this is a fanatics site, then it makes sense. In my opinion, as I stated many times: you've your opinion, I've mine, no one has to subjugate one another. Cheers.

  • @MariahKarla I do believe that Rachel Brice is the famous one here. And she is for a reason.

  • @MariahKarla I like something different and mine is better. Trolololol.

  • @MariahKarla While you're entitled to your opinions I'd like to know how you came to the conclusion that "she's connected with her ego not with the music"? That's odd, this woman is well-respected by both non-belly dancers all over the world as well as her peers, which leads me to question your self-praising comment about being a 'connoisseur'. A CON maybe...but not a connoisseur! Peace out!

  • @MariahKarla First, this is not belly dancing. It's called tribal fusion, and tribal fusion dancers are offended if somebody calls them belly dancers. Secondly, fluidity in movement is by definition a dance. It doesn't matter if you like it or not. Thirdly, if "twirling" yourself is coarse and distasteful, then contemporary dance, jazz, flamenco, modern ballet and probably every type of dance is also coarse and distasteful.

  • @dankish497 Have you heard of Zaghareet Magazine? It's the American Belly Dance Magazine. This Magazine features all types of dancers. I don't know where you got this idea that Tribal Fusion dancers are offended when someone calls them belly dancers. That's what they are! They MAY be offended if you say " Hey! You're a great Arabic Dancer", That's like saying Argentine Tango dancers are offended when you say they're Ballroom Dancers.

  • @MariahKarla And i've got 2 questions, are you a belly dancer? and what does her ego have to do with anything?

  • @MariahKarla no offense, but if you were a connoisseur, you'd know she isn't a traditional belly dancer. This is Tribal FUSION belly dance. It's a mixture of several types of dance. And instead of trolling her videos, you might actually listen to her speak about her type of dance. She describes herself, that it's not fluid, it's more focused on isolated, calculated movements, and locks.

  • @MariahKarla I'm not angry, but if you are so good so as to try to give an intellectual critique to a reknown dancer, then do please post some proof of your work. This is after all, the net. Opinion or not we can't take for granted that what you're saying is true. For all we know you are a 40 year old man in his livingroom trolling the hell out of us before his wife is done cooking dinner.

  • @MariahKarla And in order for you to be a good dancer you don't need to throw away your ego, since your ego is yourself. Learn the true meaning of words, dear, before you say something else. A dancer has to be connected to his or her ego, they have to have a good grasp on themselves to CREATE a dance. Same as with musicians, dancers don't go through steps FOR the music, they create a dance WITH the music. If Rachel's dance is that one, who are YOU to say otherwise? ^^

  • @MariahKarla Also, I'm not angry, nor jealous. I danced a bit of bellydance when I was younger, and I want to retake it, but now in the tribal or tribal fusion style. It's just that if you are prepared to give such a critique, you have to be prepared to show that you can back it up, and according to your answers and comments, which I've read... you're not prepared to back it up...

  • @akissy Come to reality. You've posted 3 comments at once! Take a breath! Being frantic because you read something that you don't agree with it's not good. I understand that Rachel's "dance" is the best you know. It's not the same for me... but fall into "street" fights about this? Come on! Be civilised. My comment was posted 10 months ago and my last visit was 3 months ago. See? My life isn't the internet and sure you have better things to focus on than this. Cheers.

  • My little sister just walked in while I was watching it and said "Does she have a spine?" hahahaha so funny!
