I can't understand how such a simple song can be so powerful. I've never been a huge fan of Coldplay, I just listen to them sometimes. But today, while cleaning the kitchen, I heard this song on the radio.. I knew it from somewhere but couldn't recall who was the artist.. I had no idea it was Coldplay.. I understood why this band is so special. They can tell how great life is using a few notes..

This song introduced me to the concept of atmospheric instrumental tracks on rock albums. I was a bit confused when I first heard this because there wasn't any singing, so I dismissed it as a purposeless drone. This song is a work of art. No matter who else sings it or plays it, not matter how good that person is, they can't recreate the beautiful work of Chris Martin and Cold Play. This is a very unique and beautiful song that should someday be marked as one of the best songs of all time in music hall of fame. Cold Play is just such an incredible band. The beginning track is called "The Escapist"{it's also at the end of the album but you probaly already know that}, they got that song from Jon Hopkins, his original version was called "Light Through The Veins". Jon gave permission to Coldplay to change it up and call it their own, and Coldplay gave credit to Jon on the album. As for Viva La Vida, it's purely coincedental that it sounds like Satrianis song. Ive heard 3 or 4 more other bands that have a song that sounds similar to Satrianis song.
