Too much apex predators is bad for herds but whatever... nothing I can do. Great footage, I love wolves. I want to make a game about them one day. Even if it is really simple.
not many. I spent 3 days in yellow stone in september and saw 34 elk. the days of seeing big herds of elk in yellow stone are nothing more than a good memory.
When did you film this footage! I'm thinking of going to yellowstone soon! Mid october or the first week of nov. When would be the best time to go! I would like to get some good wildlife photography. Great video and keep up the great work!
Wonderful! Super footage... Looks like it's wearing a collar.. WOndering where his buddies are... hard for a lone wolf to bring down an elk.. maybe a left over? It is great footage... Ravens are good too... Easy meal for them for sure! Keep them coming!
Yes, he is wearing a tracking collar. He is running with another grey and a black wolf, they took down the elk together earlier that morning. I have seen them hunt in that area several times.
Soon there will be no elk left in yellowstone. The moose are almost gone now.....

I am hoping to go in late summer and backpack. Maybe then the bears will be full of berries and not a problem.

Na this wolf could do it. He is pretty big for a lower 48 wolf. 'Bout 180lbs. just jumped broke some ribs with it's paws and then went for the neck.
