What a cheap trick, I'm not saying helmets don't work, they do, but this is cheap.

Every time he tries to pull down on the guys arm he lets the guy get ready in some way, except the second time when he wants to show the brain 'moving around in the skull'. Rubbish, to really move your brain around in your skull you need a bigger insult then that. He could have snapped his fingers the second time instead of tapping the guy on the head and it would have produced the same result.

Thats very true for falling of buildings etc. However if it happens on a bike that knock on the head probaly stops you from keeping your body upright and could send you under your own/someone else vehicle. Just guessing here, but I see where you're coming from :)

@KrazieAl uh... you dont wanna be upright when you fall... youll automatically want to put your arms down to stop yourself and break a limb in the process. thats what happened to me and now i have a metal plate in my arm.

It caused the bone to break much like a branch you break if you fold it in half... youll end up with a 45 degree angle break. slice the branch and its perfectly flat.

plus, id rather be run over and not into. not bashing here, just sharing knowledge

This is BS. On the first run, he taps the head and distracts the "victim" into forgetting to resist the movement of the arm. On the next one, the guy knows what to expect and, of course, keeps his concentration. The rest of this helmet series is good. This is junk.

I would say bikes are better avoiding accidents but cars are better when they do happen. So if you're a bad rider, you're better off driving.

Cars are much easier to operate than motorcycles. Not anyone can be a rider and, generally, if you're a rider, it means you're already an acceptable driver.

cars are much more forgiving than bikes. When you have a surprise on the road, you just step on the brakes, or spin the wheel and problem solved, no harm done. A bad driver is already at the limit of his/her skill, so if you put him/her on a motorcycle, you have an accident coming.

Yep, total bullshit. I watched a guy on a motorcycle die right in front of me AND he had a helmet on. Hit a pole head 1st, ripped the helmet off, split his skull open and brain landed in front of my car. Needless to say I didnt sleep for many months after it.

Just stay off bikes all together.

I can't imagine the horror you have gone through. Yes, motorcycles are dangerous. So are cars when people don't wear seatbelts. Also, I think that the person who you saw die did not either have his helmet properly attatched or was wearing the wrong size. Either way, that is a horrible way to die. I am sorry that you had to witness that.

Cars are dangerous even if you wear seat belts, it just depends on the accident. SUV's (rollover and chop you head off), small cars get crashed against SUV's. It always depends on the accident. I escape accidents on a daily basis on my bike because I dodge and squeeze through small gaps. Many people die in car crashes against poles or trees, but in a bike it's possible do dodge it or to get off the bike. If one's a bad rider/driver he or she is always in harms way no matter what the vehicle.

Sounds to me like his helmet was too big if it just came off rather than failing, which means it didnt provide any protection at all. Regardless one of the main things about helmets (well all riding safety gear) is that it wont protect you from everything, it just increases your chance of survival.

The main source of protection on a motorcycle is rider skill, his ability to foresee danger and avoid it.
