wel for your virus scanner its not hidden i figured that out cause i couldn't go there only type the name of the directory only if you know the name that is hehe so i was looking for something like this just to be curious also

would you mind elaborating further on the 'data items' to the right hand side of the registry folder hierarchy?

i've had a look and there seems to be several choices/ options such as: 'key, string value, binary value' etc etc.

what are their purpose, differences...

Is your illustrated method of showing hidden folders any different from the following method: open Folder_ Tools_ Folder options_ View_ Show hidden files and folders.

What i mean is, does your method only apply to the registry folders/ keys, Or does it apply to all folders, registry inclusive.
