so critical...Penalty strokes are difficult to make. Now I'm doing to alot of "I'm a pro and those are easy BS, Most people on youtube saying their a pro, are full of it, cause if all them were true, We would have ALLLLOT of pro goalies wouldn't we....
i laugh at how everyone on youtube goes im a top goalkeeper and oh yea im top at this and that the funny thing is guys ummm this guy is an international keeper??? he must be just a little bit better than you aye hahaha!
@greg7francis the shot was fine and its actually a lot easier to save a high shot than a hard shot to one of the lower corners, as was seen in this video.
The keeper dancing was the most ridiculous thing he/she could have done. That's got to be distracting to the keeper, let alone the striker! Stop dancing, focus, and save that shot! I'm a goalie, and I can save corner shots like that consistently. Don't let a sucky keep like me show you up.
@Ravenfire385 Yea You're right Its not like he's a national keeper or anything or like he was just doin that for the most part to loosen up his muscles so he could move quicker You know what can you fly to my hockey club and teach my how to keep Because if you save shots like that, at that power and at that aim consistantly, you must be one of the mos underappreciated goal keepers in the world and i feel you have alot to teach me... ..... ....... ........... fuckwit.
nothing wrong with the flick keeper probly distracted himself more with his shuffles than ne1 else ive been in a stroke off during which the other teams keeper got green card for constantly hittin the bar with his stick. truth is mate if he had been wearing OBO gear then he probably would have saved that lol
as a goalie, before the shot you dance around and make noises, it makes them lose their concentration for that little bit, which means their shot MIGHT not be as good.
keeper was not 'ready' enough in positioning himself much lower than the posture he was. That's the reason why he lost that critical moment just before hitting the body to the grown....
I became a goalie after a stick to the face 2 years back when i was 12. Didnt play for a while and had alot of teeth knocked out. Gumshield saved my life. Im a girl and i know that mens hockey is alot faster but some girls can be real bitches so do think that were not as good.
can't be considered time wasting, as time is stopped for a stroke. I personally see nothing wrong with it as long as its not excessive. At this level hockey, goalies are always going to try stuff like that, and as a umpire, your best to control and limit it, rather than try to prevent it.
darkbluesoul - You national women's side is actually very good, with probably the best womens goalkeeper (net-minder/tender) in the sport. Sadly, your men's side is not so great, probably for the reason you state below, it's not played much by men out there.
In the USA this sport is only know as a high school girls-only sport. I had no idea there was a pro men's league, or even a men's league at all. Oh well, we like baseball here, so go figure.
True that. First time I played I ran into a guy. Spitting teeth and blood, stitches to the gum.. Now I play goalie for a men's team, and I've almost been killed by a 100kph ball to the chest. You're right, men's league is way faster and way more varied.
yes it was a pretty good stroke but i mean im 13 and i reckon i could save that. was that goalie trying to elbow it or something?, it was if he was scared of the ball and gave up half way through the dive.
ur from NZ? my sis was goalie for the NZ u13 team 05/06 & 06/07 and saved 2/2 strokes in national tournament, yet I doubt she could save that.... and I REALLY doubt u could save that
um, fuck you. ill have u kno that im a very dedicated and good goalie, now it has been about a year or so since i last posted a comment regarding this video so uve just completely contradicted yourself with your "so keep your misinterpreted arrogance to urself ". furthermore why the fuck do you think u have to leap to the rescue of the integrity of somone u dont even know by insulting another person u dont even know in the same manner?. congratulations u have contradicted urself further idiot
how have i contridicted myself? u 13 years old u dont understand what ur saying, i mean that in saying u shudn't have commented in the 1st place cos a) ur shit and b) ur a little kid. Do u think ur better than an international keeper now? fuck u wish!
im 15 u stupid mother fucker, i kno perfectly well what im saying and i know that u are a braindead cunt who cant handle defeat, thats why u have to re insist that im a bad player and put me down because of my age. if u cant see how u have contradicted you probably dont know the meaning of the word, im sorry il substitute it with you are a fucking hypocrite for defending one person u dont know from another person u by insulting them in the same way. no ones admiring ur argument so fuck off
hush little baby don't u cry! I'm prety sure that as a lawyer and a scholor i know what contridiction hypocrisy means more than u. In your own little world u mite know what ur saying but everbody else just thinks ur a little kid throwing a tantrum. Whats ur name? i have contacts in hockeynz and would love to hear how terrible u are at saving little kids piss weak strokes
ur the one struggling here dude, at least my argument isnt as fucked as yours. first of all bullfuckingshit ur a lawyer and even if u were theres only so much u can know about a word. secondly i keep for under 17s and mens teams so theres not a whole lot of "little kids piss weak strokes " unfourtunately for u, and also i live in australia. u are an idiot and a failure, ur embarrising new zealand so get the fuck off of the internet because im more worried about ppl reading this relating me to u
the rules start that the keeper must stand still after the wissle is blown which he does so there is nothing wrong with what he does a good penalty taker should be able to block out every thing
@Braxer I agree with you braxer but you miss the 13.5 g and h, and regarding these explanations, nothing is wrong in this penalty stroke, the feet were on the line without any move when the whistle was blown. Before the whistle it's the preparation phasis and the rule says only that both players (player and gk) must not delay the stroke, if the umpire think that the preparation phasis of both player doesn't delay the stroke then it's ok. And that's the same in all the international games...
@ baxer001 : it's just because it's allowed by the rules, I'm sorry for you, you have to read better the rules of hockey and you'll see that nothing in "those crazy movements" is wrong.
Fancy Keeper
BurtonHoodie 4 months ago
You see that he stands at the back side of his feet.
He did that because he lost his concentration as cause of the dancing...
The striker won't be distracted! He made a bad mistake.

Why is a French player stood right in the middle of the pitch? Don't all players have to be at the halfway line and to the sides?

@deltree They ought to be, but hey if a french player wants to interrupt his own keepers line of sight then so be it :)

Yeah hockey for men is a very different game. Much faster and therefore much more dangerous.
On two occasions I've been hospitalised with a facial injury because I've had a hockey ball undercut into my face. Blood everywhere!

The terminal velocity of a EH standard hockey ball is something like 112mph, so I kinda doubt that.
