"plow hoss" by Maximmfg dot com nowadays... used to be made by various outfits like... sold by ace hardware and agrisupply, still listed dealers on the maxim website..but agrisupply says they dont stock em now, poss avail by special order.... yours looks to be nearly new..... /Kirkout ps for Jekjr1957... it has attachments that plow, etc, ONE side of the row, after stuff is too tall for over the plant plowing..... does great work...I used one for a large garden..15 or 20 yearsago...
My granddad had one back in the seventies. He always referred to it as an "Alabama Mule". Great piece of equipment in a samll garden. I wish i could find one now.
This was made in Roseland, LA. It is called a Plow Mule. They are out of business now. The company was sold to a larger manufacturer. The man that owned the original company now makes go-carts. I have the original machine and love it.
My tractor like that still has a decal across the back of the frame..... ROWBUSTER manufactured by Carter Bros. Mfg Co Inc of BRUNDIDGE, Alabama. On mine, the handle bars are white but the frame is red. Mine does not have that fancy belt guard and it is powered by a 4hp Clinton.
It's a great tractor for cultivating close to the plants. I run a sweep that measures about 20 inches wide. It will push the loose dirt right up around the base of the plants.
Go to (fred's antique garden tractor) site. I searche one wheel garden tractor and came up with a few sites. Fred has two on there, but older than yours, he may be abel to help you out. Phil

It looks exactly like a Maxim Plow Hoss. According to their website they still make them. They are located in Mississippi.

So it opens a row and then drives over the open row?? That makes no sense. The plow should be behind the wheel.
