WOW!!! That song brought back some great memories of that season. I remember that year as being baseball paradise for a Mariner fan. Sure we didn't win the big one, but it was a lot of fun to root for such a well-coached and exciting team. GO M's in 2011!!!

@MrButtbanger not at all...seattle was the better team in the regular season but come post season the yankees were the better team.the mariners starting pitching was just not as deep as the yankees..also as great as sasaki was as there closer he was no mariano rivera...the 2001 mariners where a special team but to say they gave nyc a symapthy win in the alcs is just flat out wrong...

But not one of the greatest. But, just imagine if this team had Randy Johnson, Alex Rodriguez, and Ken Griffey Jr. I bet they would have won the WS that year going away. I say that because Randy Johnson OWNED the Yankees. And if they would have played the D'backs in the WS they would have won.
