Google is in no way doing anything different with our information. The fact is, we store our information on Google services. This update is merely interconnecting them for the sake of convenience. There is no one at Google HQ who is literally watching our activity. It's just a little change in programming on the server end in regards to how our info is handled.

Whoever is whining about invasion of privacy doesn't understand the policy. First, there is barely any change; they had all this information already and now can just combine it. Second, Google IS NOT providing this information to companies; they are just using the information to refine which ads show up to the user-the company itself has no idea to whom their ad is being shown.
