Why don't you get in touch with organizations who've made it their life's work to gather evidence and data, and whose contact info is easily obtainable (ICR and Answers In Genesis to name only a couple)? Is it because other YouTubers maybe aren't as knowledgable, and are therefore easier to harass and win arguments with? You remind me of a schoolyard bully who only picks on smaller and weaker kids because you'd get your clock cleaned by someone your own size or bigger.
@gregrutz "Breeding populations evolve" you say. Let's take humans, they're a breeding population, and are evolving into what? Super-humans? Sentient beings that no longer can be classified as "human"? If the words evolve, evolution are used to describe variations within a particular species, that's observable and true. When used to mean the transformation of one species to a completely different one it's not observable and it's fiction
@avflf But it has been observed. Humans will evolve into a different humans in millions of years, we will be one mixed race. Or maybe there will be only a few left after a war and differnt isolated groups my evolve to be different. Then there will be 2 species of humans, AGAIN.
@gregrutz Understood. My point is, regardless of their hue, they will still have the same features as us; they wouldn't sprout wings and evolve to angels, or devils if they evolve bat wings. As far as explanations go it depends on one's preconceived outlook - you put emphasis on similarities between species and I accentuate differences. OK then, you wont convince me and I wont convince you so let's call it quits and agree to disagree. Cheers
@avflf Yes, even if humans evolved wings they would still be flying humans. And if some people didn't then there would be two different species of humans, evolution.
Creationists are alwasys expecting dogs to turn into cats. There are not that different and came from a common ancestor. Chimps have countless similarities with humans and only a few differences. There are closer to us than to gorillas.
@gregrutz You say "common ancestor", I say "common designer" and by that I do not mean the various man-made gods you read about in 'holy books'. Observation and logic, to me at least, points to design (not appearance of). Who the designer is, what it looks like and the purpose behind it all I do not know. I look at the Universe as a hunter gatherer, in a remote island and unaware of anything bar his tribe, would look at a watch he found on the beach. He knows it isn't natural ....
@gregrutz ... in time he may find how it works and the purpose behind it. He may even get to the stage when he can replicate it. He may never meet the original designer but that does not do way with the fact that the watch had been designed. As the Universe and life go we are still in the process of figuring out how it got assembled
@avflf The Theory of Evolution explains why organisms change into different organisms. And why one species can split into two species, like humans and chimps.
so easy to bash evolution? ok ok you can believe that we didnt evolve if you really want. but evolution is a fact. evolution has been observed. we have watched bacteria evolve and continue to watch it evolve. you know whats easy to bash? something that has NO facts to back it up. kinda like religion. pretty damn easy to bash if i do say so myself.
@englishjumper123 Why? I may disagree with BB as to his conclusions, but at least he has an open forum for the exchange of ideas. And among creationists, that's rare.
It's funny how many people believe this crap despite the fact that the wood was hidden from real scientist wanting to sample it. There have been a dozen claims of proof of the ark, but a claim is not proof, it's just someone talking shit.
Anyone who says "I start with the Bible first and science second" is an idiot. That tells me "I believe a 2000 year old book written by ignorant sheep herders over evidence I can see, feel, taste, smell and test". Minds are like parachutes, they only work when opened. Religion cages the mind and spirit.
It's funny to listen to people (such as yourself) try and convince themselves that they are more open minded than the people they disagree with by being closed minded.
@circusOFprecision I have to say it's better than plugging my ears, shouting "God said it, I believe it and that settles it" in the face of actual evidence. Religion is brain washing, nothing more grand than that.
Most religious people don't do that. Any system of thought can be considered brainwashing. A carefully managed scientific "consensus" could very well also fall into that category, especially when you start examining assumptions and the bias that surrounds them. Just a thought.
@circusOFprecision "A carefully managed scientific "consensus" could very well also fall into that category (brainwashing)" A very good point. But that is the reason why science leans so heavily on empirical data, test-ability, repeat-ability, and all the other stages of Methodological Naturalism that helps to reduce the influence of all scientists just being 'merely human'. Creationists imagine Science being governed by popularity, authority, fear, and hope, the same as religion. It's not.
I tend to the problem having more to do with what people are willing to accept. For example, a global flood is indeed a scientifically plausible idea. In fact, the data strongly points to comet impacts that indeed caused world wide hydrological effects (aka tsunami waves and flooding). Would this be easier to accept if there were no religious implications involved?
@circusOFprecision "Would this be easier to accept if there were no religious implications involved?" Asking that question entirely ignores the process of Methodological Naturalism I just explained, it's purpose, and even demonstrates the point I made in my last sentence. The Scientific Method is specifically orchestrated to remove that consideration from the equation.
Methodological naturalism in no way removes the reality of comets striking the earth, or cultures telling stories about said events. Said method also in no way removes any possibility of more fundamental aspects of reality such as intelligence. It merely limits empiricism to testability. But both empiricism and assumed testability are only as good as the minds behind them.
@circusOFprecision "Methodological naturalism in no way removes the reality of comets striking the earth, or cultures telling stories about said events." Now you are talking about smaller natural events, and not the mass extinction event the Flood fable proposes. The Scientific Method has indeed removed the plausibility of a global ME event within recent geological history. Such a recent event must leave a very significant graded layer in most parts of the world. I'm sorry. It's just not there.
@circusOFprecision "Methodological naturalism in no way removes the reality of comets striking the earth, or cultures telling stories about said events." On your second point; There have been much more conventional causes for many regional floods within human history and proto-history. But the cobbling of the disparate facts of those events you must be considering is NOT what is required to certify the Flood myth in Science. What should be found is already known, and it is not there.
@circusOFprecision "a global flood is indeed a scientifically plausible idea." Though great research over the years, several global "mass extinction" events have been identified and dated deep in Earth's geological history. But their identification has only served to outline that a recent flooding event on that scale couldn't have occurred. A global flood within the past 4,000 to 5,000 would leave unambiguous evidence that geologists could have identified 200 years ago without contest.
There is evidence, you just need to go take a look at it. And again I shall ask, what is the reason that said evidences and interpretations are so hard to swallow? Is it because of their connection to religious ideals? If so, what is the problem? You don't have to swallow a religious pill. A flood is a flood, a comet impact is a comet impact.
@circusOFprecision "And again I shall ask, what is the reason that said evidences and interpretations are so hard to swallow? Is it because of their connection to religious ideals?" I have told you twice, on how the Scientific Method excludes each scientists religious convictions from affecting results. Since you are not reacting normally to that point, your question now seems to be asked rhetorically and dishonestly.
@circusOFprecision "And again I shall ask, what is the reason that said evidences and interpretations are so hard to swallow?" That question is 'leading' since it implies that scientists are refusing to acknowledge explanations that they do not like. Flood myth explanations don't get ignored because scientists don't 'like' them. Flood myth explanations are ignored because they never introduce data for other scientists to test and build on. They present no function, tools, or anything useful.
@circusOFprecision After your recent leading and dishonest questions, I stopped to review your other dialogues; "You want me to overturn your fallacious argument and/or replace your ideas with a grand scientific theory that you approve of, and if I don't you pompously grant yourself the power to ridicule me and dismiss every thing I have to say." I can't help anyone with such busted reasoning skills. Good luck with your .02% creationist scientists. I'll stick with my 99.98% scientific consensus.
@whanethewhip "Some God"? I don't worship "some god". It's The God, the Creator of All things. For by Him (Jesus) All things were created and nothing was created without Him. If you believe that nothing exploded 4.6 billion years ago, you're certainly welcome to your theory, but evidence points to the fact that the flood happened. Many other prophecies that have happened in the last 60 years are happening rapidly just as we were told they would in the last generation.
@Ezekielthirtyeight Nothing that you just said proves there is a god. Go back to school, take a logic class, learn what evidence is. You might be surprised at just how dumb you are.
@whanethewhip "Logic"?? haha!! Your "logic" is ludicrious. I'm just trying to help you, but the Lord said in His Word that scoffers would come in the last days denying His promised coming and saying that the Heavens were of old (evolution) Again, if you want to believe that, it's your choice, but you have been massively deceived by teachers, professors and generally the secular system. I have seen and studied both sides, but prophecy and the creation speaks for itself.
@Ezekielthirtyeight "Who told you evolution is part of science?" A better question would be 'Who told you it was NOT?' Evolution IS a Scientific Theory drawing from multiple lines of evidence, brimming with predictive power, with consistent explanatory power, that ALL 7,000+ researching science professionals rely upon regularly in furthering their work. Semantics such as your question have no real impact on that fact, and your incredulity alone isn't sufficient.
@circusOFprecision After your recent leading and dishonest questions, I stopped to review your other dialogues; "You want me to overturn your fallacious argument and/or replace your ideas with a grand scientific theory that you approve of, and if I don't you pompously grant yourself the power to ridicule me and dismiss every thing I have to say." @circusOFprecision "a global flood is indeed a scientifically plausible idea." Creationists are typically unaccustomed to contemplating geological timescales. Religion orients minds to measure time in the terms of a human lifespan (Humanocentricity). Geologically, 4,000 years is scarcely any time at all. A global disaster that recently would still be evident today. Imagine Central Europe looking like Iceland in summertime, with almost no trees or animal life.
The Coconino Sandstone is the third layer down in the Grand Canyon, the white 350-foot cliff. It is from wind blown, desert sands. We know this from the fossils in it, the type of sand and the slope of the cross bedding. So not all sedimentary rock is laid down by water.
There are 44 Distinct layers of DIFFERENT KINDS OF ROCK exposed in the Grand Canyon, along with many unconformities.
the nonsense conference... featuring for your delight total nonsense and yet more total nonsense... and to demonstrate this nonsense creationists have produced what based on it?
ohh yeah absolutely nothing....
If 'Total Bullshit' ever becomes an Olympic sport team america can safely add that sport to their gold tally!
@MumblingMickey They've produced a lot of confusion and misinformation and lined their pockets quite handsomely. Ken Hamm pulls about 200K a year and AiG? About a million in profit. Now add to that how much they flummoxed the state of Kentucky out of for that theme park of theirs. Talk about obscenity
Creationists are the scum of the earth and proof that god does not exist because were there a supreme being capable of creating more than a gnat he would never have given rise to these retards, christians, muslims, i dont care, youre all crazy warmongering racist motherfuckers. Die all religiuous people and say hello to your maker from me, please.
Ask your self this question? In Revelation, the disciple John states that the sun will scortch the earth. There are many videos (I will send you a link if you need 1) that show NASA footage THAT all of the planets in our solar system (if the earth is scortched by the sun, they must heat up 2) are warming up. Now how could a man (exiled or not) in 100 AD know about solar activity and moreover, that in the future it would greatly effect the planet? He had to be told
@themanningsjdsjjj " In Revelation, the disciple John states that the sun will scortch the earth"
facepalm.
John meant that the middle east ( where the bible was wriiten) is hot and dry because of the sun. No one in teh bible knew about england or America, or Australia. To them a small section of the middle east WAS the world to them.
It doesnt mention other planets, or solar activity.. Your trying to make it into something its not, which is what all god botherers do.
The planets are NOT all heating up. Jupiters temperature is dropping at a measurable rate every year. In fact, the planets all are vacillating in temperature.
Strangely enough, other creationists claim that all the planets are losing heat and that the drop in temperature is proof of creation. It would be great if creationists would form an actual falsifiable argument for creation.
@qabala so this study from the Max Planc institute that shows solar activity at an 8000 year high is just gibberish? Did you use to attend this institute and have inside information or something?
Yes, it's just gibberish, but no, it isn't from the Max Planck Institute, and it isn't a study, it is the ramblings of 2012 conspiracy theorist who lost credibility in the first two minutes of the presentation by referencing the destruction of Atlantis as a real event.
There are several studies from the Max Planck Institute regarding solar activity. In total, they don't support the assertion that the planets are all heating up.

Why believe in gods that were just imaginary beings made by people who were psychotic. It's because of these people there is racism, extremist and chaos yet not peace to us. nothing but distrust, controversies and thus riots among people who have different illogical beliefs were caused. And the worse is, killing people for the sake of god? Everyone is equal- believing in some nonsensical virtual things does not Grant that person the right to judge others.
Explain why cultures in the past that clearly were not extremists, had a believe in a divine being? In fact, how many ATHEIST cultures can you even find??
@themanningsjdsjjj the people from the past had not live in a much more complex world then in today, if they were to live during our time, I believe they would have clash as well with other people w different beliefs. People from different cultures can never coexist with one another for a long period of time. People from the past have no prior knowledge, they choose to create this divine being out of desperation, expecting some form of miracle.
@themanningsjdsjjj but now, there are more religious people than freethinker/atheist. Why? Most children were forced to believe in the same religion as thier parents, and they do not have a choice to decide whether they want to have religion. To put it in a more insulting way, they were brainwashed. And that is why cultures still exist today.
If children have a choice, I'm sure they would think believing in gods are some form of jokes and religious people would be the minority
You really need to learn to use logic. You said earlier that ancient cultures created God for themselves because they needed miracles. But you now say there are more religious people today because the children were brainwashed. Based on your own logic, parents of today would not have taught religion to their children because THEY WOULD HAVE BELIEVED THERE WAS NO GOD. This obviously did not happen.
@themanningsjdsjjj don't tell me to use logic when you can't even read/interpret my reply carefully. Did I ever say people with religion now believe that there was no god? I said those without religion.
The parents taught children those religions because they believed in god and they feel It's a must to believe which is atrocious. Children now were forced to have a religion and slowly it changed thier mind/thinking to believe the presence of god, which never existed.
@themanningsjdsjjj no I think you can't even understand my reply. Please slowly process it before you even reply back. Did i say children who already have religion would think that believing in god are some form of jokes? Or did i say that people with no religion think that.
Also, did i ever say religion is meant to have a god? And did I pinpoint at any specific religion that they have a god? No, you don't even understand my reply.
@themanningsjdsjjj and religion is not a need in daily life. Humans created religions because of what they desire for, which their so called belief will never grant them. They pray for peace, because of thier conservative mindset against different religions, it brought chaos to mankind. Religions should never existed in the modern world now, believing in it just show stupidity.Albert Einstein:the universe and human stupidity are the only things that are infinite in this world.
@themanningsjdsjjj alright, dn please say it properly because you said made made instead of man made.
And btw, I'm quoting Albert's entire quote, so does this mean that i meant the universe is related to what I'm talking about? So please don't ask me to learn anything because you still can't get what im saying.
Anw, if there is really god, there wouldn't be evil in this world which bring chaos and destroyed the world he created. Even if there is one, he would be as bad.
Come to think of it, this argument is much more beyond pointless because you can't understand what I'm saying, and I had to to say it again and again, and each replies we send to each other are just more insulting in a way. You believe in your religion if you have one and i continue with my thinking. So let's just not waste each others time. Bye.
@themanningsjdsjjj ... Are you a Troll or do you see U-Self as devil's advocate or are merely intellectually challenged because you tell other people to think & write clearly then don't do it yourself so why...? The Pagan root-word "GOD" simply means "SPIRIT OR SOUL OF A DECEASED PRIEST OR KING" thus even Herod Antipas is a god... An 18th century Jew "ELIPHAS LEVI" clearly stated God & Lucifer were the same being & Satanists worship Lucifer so are Satanists godless U-fool...?
@themanningsjdsjjj "Explain why cultures in the past that clearly were not extremists, had a believe in a divine being?"
Simple.. Inventing a god was the only way they had of explaining the unexplainable. Why does the sun come up every day ?? Dont know. It must be something we dont understand,, lets call it Ra, then we better worship it incase it stops coming up.
Man has always sought answers, and when one isnt easily found, the temptation is to make one up
Save an hour of your life folks. There is absolutely no need to read beyond the second line of the description. Anybody that references "Answers in Genesis" immediately has zero credibility and zero intellectual integrity.
@88rat88 They should take that hour and go to a public library and pick up some basic texts on geology and chemistry. In the 21st century of the Common Era, there really is no excuse for the kind of ignorance that creationists mistake for virtue.
@NorthForkFisherman Agreed, and well said. I watched my best friend transition from healthy, agnostic thinker to batshit crazy bible thumper because her husband is a Christian apologist of frightening proportion. She's been conditioned to think a good Christian wife submits to her husband on all matters. He's an aspiring pastor who believes there is no misogyny or condonement of slavery in the bible and that a debunked fossil of human / dinosaur footprints invalidates 150+
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 2) years of painstaking scientific research. The apologist mind shields itself from anything that threatens that perfect little utopia. And I think I know why: Deep down they're scared shitless. They've invested so much of themselves and their identity in this elaborate lie that they have too much to lose. To acknowledge a single pebble from the mountain of evidence could cause their whole world to crumble. And they can't handle that.
@88rat88 Actually, they can handle that. I agree that their pathology is really based on an identity delusion, but have you also noticed how it requires "persecution"? For them to be faced with facts that directly contradict their belief system is a very screwed up kind of validation. They expect, and I think, desire it. They are miserable creatures and will not be "happy" until all others are as messed up as they are.
@NorthForkFisherman Interesting perspective... I'm not quite sure I understand it though. When you say "requires persecution", do you mean Christians have delusions that they (the majority group in this country) are being persecuted? Or do you mean they do the persecuting of non-believers. Because honestly, I think BOTH statements are correct. It's all part of the hypocrisy. Also, are you suggesting their faith actually THRIVES on contradiction with itself and science?
@88rat88 Absolutely. The whole basis is faith above all, especially reason. And let's face it, if a xtian doesn't feel like they're being persecuted, they must not be xtian enough. I could cite chapter and verse, but that's really pointless as I don't share their delusion. From their point of view, you have to be martyr to really walk in Christ. It doesn't matter what the facts really are, it's that internal perception that is the difference.
@NorthForkFisherman I'm surprised they don't drive spikes through their hands and feet. Oh wait, some of them actually do. The amusing thing about the "sacrifice" is that if Jesus IS god (as any good Christian will attest to) then it wasn't really a sacrifice at all, was it? What's a day or two of agony for the omnipotent god of the universe who exists for eternity? Christians comprise roughly 80% of the US population and you have assholes like Bush Senior who think atheists
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 2) shouldn't be considered American citizens, let alone patriots. But they're the ones being persecuted, right? The hypocrisy would be comical if it wasn't so disturbing. On the topic of contradictions, I feel compelled to add an observation to illustrate my opinion that they are scared of reason: Lately they've been putting a lot of time and energy into trying to convince the world that creationism is a science and that their fairy tales are
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 3) scientifically defensible. It's bullshit of course, but why would they bother if they didn't see reason (and by extension, atheism) as a threat? I'm convinced they regard evolution as a thorn in their ass. They're more obsessed with it than any other group of people. They seem to think that if they could just debunk the theory, atheists would immediately take up religion. But they forget that atheists existed long before the theory of
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 4) evolution and even if the theory had never been proposed, their fairy tale mythology would be no less ridiculous. My point is that not even Christians are totally immune to cognitive dissonance. Some are sufficiently disturbed by it that they ultimately become atheists. And that's a good thing.
@fatherof8kids Actually, I have provided specifics, about a year ago. Take a look back for the key words "Opeche". Read through that and then respond. Once you've done that and can understand the basic science behind it we can have a real discussion about why geology falsifies the Noachian Flood. It's really quite elegant the way chemistry, physics, and math all come together to reveal this as the bronze age myth it really is.
@gregrutz How can you make comments on a video that you clearly have not watched? Also, the first part of your reply made no sense and the part about the water was answered in the video. Regarding your comment to utopiandesign: what specific scientific discovery "proves" the Bible wrong? I want an accual documented case with references of what you are refering to, not like the half baked wimpy answers that you have been posting!
@fatherof8kids I can answer this one: "what specific scientific discovery "proves" the Bible wrong?" The entire fields of geology, chemistry, physics, and, oh yes, math. Shall I continue?
@NorthForkFisherman There;s really no need, why is i science's place to disprove anything anyway? Surely if one asserts a fantisiful idea or fantsatic clain, then that person should come up with the evidence, varifiable evidence, that proves it.
@MrGlennatat Actually, science's role is to examine critically the data put before it in order to make a better world. If it shows bronze age myth to be just that, so be it. And I agree, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It's the creationists who seem to be greatly lacking in understanding that part of the equation.
@gregrutz Did you even watch the complete video? Your comments suggest that you didn't. This is an excellent video FULL of evidance. Watch and learn without you darwin glasses on for a change!
Christians, don't waste your time with the hecklers. They think they have it all together, that they have the power to rebuke the existence of GOD and His lawful authority throughout the heavens. But just know that they are void of the sweet love that comes from the Presence of Jesus. And in the judgment day they will all say, "Jesus was true, and I chose to keep Him far from me." Then comes the cleansing of the earth. And with Satan they will be reduced "to ashes upon the earth." Eze.28:14-19.
Uniformitarianism says the PROCESSES of nature are the same today. It does not mean slow or gradual or uniform. It says nothing about millions of years.
Geology proves the earth is old and there was no global flood.
I thoroughly enjoyed this very informative video, especially the part about the continental shelves formation. I have never heard that discused before now. Thanks for posting.
A global flood has been proven many times to be impossible on every level, from Noah's Ark to the physics of the flood itself. The only way a global flood can be possible is if God suspended natural laws and basically used "magic." So why are young earth creationists so reluctant to concede with that and call it a day? Why must they come up with supposed natural causes for the flood when it was obviously an utterly supernatural event? It is clear that they yearn for scientific credibility.
@kathynsam123 And still not talking to people directly. How cowardly. And still not able to deal with the facts at hand, eh kath? Still waiting for one, just one little bit of factual evidence that supports your point of view. C'mon, use those frontal lobe for more than filler for once in your blood life. Think. Reason. Don't parrot, give a point of view and think it through from beginning to end.
@NorthForkFisherman i still praying for you. it not kath. it is sam. still holding on to lie of evilution. which you have no proof of.you who think that devilution in bacteria is proof for evilution. telling me to use my front lobe, when you just repeating, what you been told by someone else your impressed with.
@kathynsam123 "when you just repeating, what you been told by someone else your impressed with." Wow. Irony much? So, how many dead people have you raised today? Hmmmm? Actually, I can demonstrate what I work on, again and again. That's the hallmark of a good experiment. It's repeatable. Just like the MSU LTEE. But we're not talking about that, no sireebob! We're talking about a clearly falsified flood. So, how about all that heat there Sam? Got an answer yet? We're still waiting.
@NorthForkFisherman i see you still keeping faith in man instead of God smh its a shame that you can talk bad about people of God but you dont have the balls to try God to see if he is real or not. But if you do have the balls to pray to Jesus and ask him to show him self to you in a way you would understand and leave your faith in man alone and you will see
@jamesbamaboi Silly man, you keep missing the point. This is not about deity at all, it's about if Genesis is literal or not. So, do you have data that supports what you say or not? If not, move along citizen.
@NorthForkFisherman naw im not missing the point if you want to know if Jesus is God pray and ask from him to show himself in a way that you can understand cause i could give you all the evidence in the world but you still want believe so go to God and ask him and he will show you. Thats really if you want to know God or you want to keep playing scientist
@jamesbamaboi Irrelevant to the discussion. What we have here is the misrepresentation of science as supporting a particular mythology when it clearly doesn't. No I can see that this is really beyond you to discuss so I'll bid you farewell. This is about data, not feelings, visions, or other touchy-feely BS. have a nice day.
@NorthForkFisherman But are you trying to see if God exist or not so how is it irrelevant. But i understand you dont want to know the truth you just want to stay where you at in life. It you want facts go to God test God but i see you are scared of what you going to find out so yeah good day
@gregrutz if you want proof go to source(Jesus) then, if you would like to see some evidence. But from there you will seek the LORD your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29 a verse to help you on your way
@gregrutz he died for our sin it was God plan to help us and you need to know why they killed him to understand. They killed him because he was saying him and God was one. So Jesus is a part of God
Bias? Interpartaions? He seems a little confused. Weatherman? LOL
Bible packing Geologists went looking for evidence of a global flood over 200 years ago. They did not find any. They found distinct layers of different kinds of rock with different fossil in them. Floods don't do that. They discovered it must have taken millions of years to make what we see. They knew the earth was Millions of years old before radiometric dating was invented and showed it was Billions of years old.
Its not a "World Flood" or a "Deluge" it was a Localized Mesopotamian Flood, in Genesis, Edan was around the Euphrates[Mesopotamia], Noah landed his ark on Mount Ararat [Northern Mesopotamia], thus a LOCAL FLOOD and proves its a Recycled Myth, it was berosus [3rd Cent BC Hellenistic Scholar] whom first Translated the Babylonian/Sumer Flood Accounts into GREEK [Same language as Septuagint, Hebrew Originals are myth], this makes "Berosus" the progenitor author of Genesis.
“Philosophy and science have not always been friendly toward the idea of God, the reason being they are dedicated to the task of accounting for things and are impatient with anything that refuses to give an account of itself. The philosopher and the scientist will admit that there is much that they do not know; but that is quite another thing from admitting there is something which they can never know, which indeed they have no technique for discovering.”
Isa_1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
“The yearning to know what cannot be known, to comprehend the incomprehensible, to touch and taste the unapproachable, arises from the image of God in the nature of man. Deep calleth unto deep, and though polluted and landlocked by the mighty disaster theologians call the Fall, the soul senses its origin and longs to return to its source.”
to all you non bible believers if your so right what are you doing here trying to convince people who believe in the bible that they are wrong.you shouldnt force your false religion of evilution on anyone. Jesus Christ can save you of all your sins from the utter most to the gutter most. it dosent matter what your sins are he can cleanse you a make you free.
@kathynsam123 The reason we have anitbiotic resistance is due to dumbasses putting medications in everything under the sun and accellerating natural selection faster than we can compensate for it by creating drugs that are effective but at the same time not toxic. This accelerated natural selection is one of the best examples of evolution in action outside of the MSU LTEE. But I digress, this is about geology. And as yet, you offer no evidence much less ciritcal thought. I'm done here.
@NorthForkFisherman you have to be kidding right.like i said from the begining debate someone who has the answers like Dr. Patton and his hobbies as you so put it.here is his email dpatton693@aol.com
@kathynsam123 So you are finally admitting that you don't know. You don't have any answers. That's Great. Still, beating you was like picking a fight with the retarded. You win easy enough, but it was a match with the mentally ill. So I really feel bad, mostly because you will never understand a single thing about what you speak. So, like I said, until you can offer up one word of data that supports your position, I'm done. And remember, we're not all born to be scientists - You have to think.
@NorthForkFisherman no that just shows how pathetic and lost you are, admit it your a bottom feeder.i have alot of answers but their the same as Dr. Hovind and Dr. Pattons. Your just brainwashed by the false doctrine of Evilution.I will be praying for your salvation every morning and every night, for the rest of my life.like i said from the begining im a bible believer, i dont need anyones phd to tell me anything about what Jesus has said.Jesus said it that settles it for me.
@kathynsam123 Jesus said nothing with regards to evolution. In fact no elements of the Bible refer to evolution unless you are a complete literalist in interpreting Noahs Ark or the Garden of Eden.
@koncorde Mar_10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Mar_13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. evilution is a myth made up by sinful men, who love their sin and want to continue in it.Mr Hovind And Mr. Patton can speak on the myth of evilution better than i,so i refer you to them

@gregrutz You mean changes within the organism itself not its evolution into a new, totally different organism
avflf 1 week ago
@avflf Breeding populations evolve. And they don't make a totally different organism. Humans are still Primates, still mammals, still animals.
gregrutz 1 week ago
@gregrutz "Breeding populations evolve" you say. Let's take humans, they're a breeding population, and are evolving into what? Super-humans? Sentient beings that no longer can be classified as "human"? If the words evolve, evolution are used to describe variations within a particular species, that's observable and true. When used to mean the transformation of one species to a completely different one it's not observable and it's fiction
avflf 1 week ago
@avflf But it has been observed. Humans will evolve into a different humans in millions of years, we will be one mixed race. Or maybe there will be only a few left after a war and differnt isolated groups my evolve to be different. Then there will be 2 species of humans, AGAIN.
gregrutz 1 week ago
@gregrutz Understood. My point is, regardless of their hue, they will still have the same features as us; they wouldn't sprout wings and evolve to angels, or devils if they evolve bat wings. As far as explanations go it depends on one's preconceived outlook - you put emphasis on similarities between species and I accentuate differences. OK then, you wont convince me and I wont convince you so let's call it quits and agree to disagree. Cheers
avflf 6 days ago
@avflf Yes, even if humans evolved wings they would still be flying humans. And if some people didn't then there would be two different species of humans, evolution.
Creationists are alwasys expecting dogs to turn into cats. There are not that different and came from a common ancestor. Chimps have countless similarities with humans and only a few differences. There are closer to us than to gorillas.
gregrutz 6 days ago
@gregrutz You say "common ancestor", I say "common designer" and by that I do not mean the various man-made gods you read about in 'holy books'. Observation and logic, to me at least, points to design (not appearance of). Who the designer is, what it looks like and the purpose behind it all I do not know. I look at the Universe as a hunter gatherer, in a remote island and unaware of anything bar his tribe, would look at a watch he found on the beach. He knows it isn't natural ....
avflf 5 days ago
@gregrutz ... in time he may find how it works and the purpose behind it. He may even get to the stage when he can replicate it. He may never meet the original designer but that does not do way with the fact that the watch had been designed. As the Universe and life go we are still in the process of figuring out how it got assembled
avflf 5 days ago

@circusOFprecision "A carefully managed scientific "consensus" could very well also fall into that category (brainwashing)" A very good point. But that is the reason why science leans so heavily on empirical data, test-ability, repeat-ability, and all the other stages of Methodological Naturalism that helps to reduce the influence of all scientists just being 'merely human'. Creationists imagine Science being governed by popularity, authority, fear, and hope, the same as religion. It's not.

I tend to the problem having more to do with what people are willing to accept. For example, a global flood is indeed a scientifically plausible idea.

Logic4Win 3 weeks ago
@Logic4Win
Methodological naturalism in no way removes the reality of comets striking the earth, or cultures telling stories about said events. Said method also in no way removes any possibility of more fundamental aspects of reality such as intelligence. It merely limits empiricism to testability. But both empiricism and assumed testability are only as good as the minds behind them.
circusOFprecision 3 weeks ago
@circusOFprecision "Methodological naturalism in no way removes the reality of comets striking the earth, or cultures telling stories about said events." Now you are talking about smaller natural events, and not the mass extinction event the Flood fable proposes. The Scientific Method has indeed removed the plausibility of a global ME event within recent geological history. Such a recent event must leave a very significant graded layer in most parts of the world. I'm sorry. It's just not there.
Logic4Win 3 weeks ago
@circusOFprecision "Methodological naturalism in no way removes the reality of comets striking the earth, or cultures telling stories about said events." On your second point; There have been much more conventional causes for many regional floods within human history and proto-history. But the cobbling of the disparate facts of those events you must be considering is NOT what is required to certify the Flood myth in Science. What should be found is already known, and it is not there.
Logic4Win 3 weeks ago
@circusOFprecision "a global flood is indeed a scientifically plausible idea." Though great research over the years, several global "mass extinction" events have been identified and dated deep in Earth's geological history. But their identification has only served to outline that a recent flooding event on that scale couldn't have occurred. A global flood within the past 4,000 to 5,000 would leave unambiguous evidence that geologists could have identified 200 years ago without contest.
Logic4Win 3 weeks ago
@Logic4Win

@themanningsjdsjjj the people from the past had not live in a much more complex world then in today, if they were to live during our time, I believe they would have clash as well with other people w different beliefs. People from the past have no prior knowledge, they choose to create this divine being out of desperation, expecting some form of miracle.
animesfan5686 1 month ago
@themanningsjdsjjj but now, there are more religious people than freethinker/atheist. Why? Most children were forced to believe in the same religion as thier parents, and they do not have a choice to decide whether they want to have religion. If children have a choice, I'm sure they would think believing in gods are some form of jokes and religious people would be the minority
animesfan5686 1 month ago

You really need to learn to use logic. You said earlier that ancient cultures created God for themselves because they needed miracles. But you now say there are more religious people today because the children were brainwashed. Based on your own logic, parents of today would not have taught religion to their children because THEY WOULD HAVE BELIEVED THERE WAS NO GOD. This obviously did not happen.
You are obviously reasoning all over the road.
themanningsjdsjjj 1 month ago
@themanningsjdsjjj don't tell me to use logic when you can't even read/interpret my reply carefully. Did I ever say people with religion now believe that there was no god? I said those without religion.
The parents taught children those religions because they believed in god and they feel It's a must to believe which is atrocious. Children now were forced to have a religion and slowly it changed thier mind/thinking to believe the presence of god, which never existed.

@themanningsjdsjjj and religion is not a need in daily life. Humans created religions because of what they desire for, which their so called belief will never grant them.

Save an hour of your life folks. There is absolutely no need to read beyond the second line of the description. Anybody that references "Answers in Genesis" immediately has zero credibility and zero intellectual integrity.
88rat88 2 months ago
@88rat88 They should take that hour and go to a public library and pick up some basic texts on geology and chemistry. In the 21st century of the Common Era, there really is no excuse for the kind of ignorance that creationists mistake for virtue.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman Agreed, and well said. I watched my best friend transition from healthy, agnostic thinker to batshit crazy bible thumper because her husband is a Christian apologist of frightening proportion. She's been conditioned to think a good Christian wife submits to her husband on all matters. He's an aspiring pastor who believes there is no misogyny or condonement of slavery in the bible and that a debunked fossil of human / dinosaur footprints invalidates 150+
88rat88 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 2) years of painstaking scientific research. The apologist mind shields itself from anything that threatens that perfect little utopia. And I think I know why: Deep down they're scared shitless. They've invested so much of themselves and their identity in this elaborate lie that they have too much to lose. To acknowledge a single pebble from the mountain of evidence could cause their whole world to crumble. And they can't handle that.
88rat88 2 months ago
@88rat88 Actually, they can handle that. I agree that their pathology is really based on an identity delusion, but have you also noticed how it requires "persecution"? For them to be faced with facts that directly contradict their belief system is a very screwed up kind of validation. They expect, and I think, desire it. They are miserable creatures and will not be "happy" until all others are as messed up as they are.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman Interesting perspective... I'm not quite sure I understand it though. When you say "requires persecution", do you mean Christians have delusions that they (the majority group in this country) are being persecuted? Or do you mean they do the persecuting of non-believers. Because honestly, I think BOTH statements are correct. It's all part of the hypocrisy. Also, are you suggesting their faith actually THRIVES on contradiction with itself and science?
88rat88 2 months ago
@88rat88 Absolutely. The whole basis is faith above all, especially reason. And let's face it, if a xtian doesn't feel like they're being persecuted, they must not be xtian enough. I could cite chapter and verse, but that's really pointless as I don't share their delusion. From their point of view, you have to be martyr to really walk in Christ. It doesn't matter what the facts really are, it's that internal perception that is the difference.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman I'm surprised they don't drive spikes through their hands and feet. Oh wait, some of them actually do. The amusing thing about the "sacrifice" is that if Jesus IS god (as any good Christian will attest to) then it wasn't really a sacrifice at all, was it? What's a day or two of agony for the omnipotent god of the universe who exists for eternity? Christians comprise roughly 80% of the US population and you have assholes like Bush Senior who think atheists
88rat88 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 2) shouldn't be considered American citizens, let alone patriots. But they're the ones being persecuted, right? The hypocrisy would be comical if it wasn't so disturbing. On the topic of contradictions, I feel compelled to add an observation to illustrate my opinion that they are scared of reason: Lately they've been putting a lot of time and energy into trying to convince the world that creationism is a science and that their fairy tales are
88rat88 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 3) scientifically defensible. It's bullshit of course, but why would they bother if they didn't see reason (and by extension, atheism) as a threat? I'm convinced they regard evolution as a thorn in their ass. They're more obsessed with it than any other group of people. They seem to think that if they could just debunk the theory, atheists would immediately take up religion. But they forget that atheists existed long before the theory of
88rat88 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman (Part 4) evolution and even if the theory had never been proposed, their fairy tale mythology would be no less ridiculous. My point is that not even Christians are totally immune to cognitive dissonance. Some are sufficiently disturbed by it that they ultimately become atheists. And that's a good thing.
88rat88 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman So in other words you have nothing specific to present. How very typical. If you can not give specifics then why even reply?
fatherof8kids 2 months ago in playlist Favorite videos
@fatherof8kids Actually, I have provided specifics, about a year ago. Take a look back for the key words "Opeche". Read through that and then respond. Once you've done that and can understand the basic science behind it we can have a real discussion about why geology falsifies the Noachian Flood. It's really quite elegant the way chemistry, physics, and math all come together to reveal this as the bronze age myth it really is.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@gregrutz How can you make comments on a video that you clearly have not watched? Also, the first part of your reply made no sense and the part about the water was answered in the video. Regarding your comment to utopiandesign: what specific scientific discovery "proves" the Bible wrong? I want an accual documented case with references of what you are refering to, not like the half baked wimpy answers that you have been posting!
fatherof8kids 2 months ago in playlist Favorite videos
@fatherof8kids I can answer this one: "what specific scientific discovery "proves" the Bible wrong?" The entire fields of geology, chemistry, physics, and, oh yes, math. Shall I continue?
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman There;s really no need, why is i science's place to disprove anything anyway? Surely if one asserts a fantisiful idea or fantsatic clain, then that person should come up with the evidence, varifiable evidence, that proves it.
MrGlennatat 2 months ago
@MrGlennatat Actually, science's role is to examine critically the data put before it in order to make a better world. If it shows bronze age myth to be just that, so be it. And I agree, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It's the creationists who seem to be greatly lacking in understanding that part of the equation.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago

@fatherof8kids Except the BS about a global flood.
gregrutz 2 months ago
A global flood has been proven many times to be impossible on every level, from Noah's Ark to the physics of the flood itself. The only way a global flood can be possible is if God suspended natural laws and basically used "magic." So why are young earth creationists so reluctant to concede with that and call it a day? Why must they come up with supposed natural causes for the flood when it was obviously an utterly supernatural event? It is clear that they yearn for scientific credibility.

if you want to believe this that fine. but tell me that devilution(this virus)is your proof for evilution.thats faith not fact.

@kathynsam123 And still not talking to people directly. How cowardly. And still not able to deal with the facts at hand, eh kath? @kathynsam123 "when you just repeating, what you been told by someone else your impressed with." Wow. Irony much? So, how many dead people have you raised today? Hmmmm? Actually, I can demonstrate what I work on, again and again. That's the hallmark of a good experiment. It's repeatable. Just like the MSU LTEE. But we're not talking about that, no sireebob! We're talking about a clearly falsified flood. So, how about all that heat there Sam? Got an answer yet? We're still waiting.
NorthForkFisherman 3 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman i see you still keeping faith in man instead of God smh its a shame that you can talk bad about people of God but you dont have the balls to try God to see if he is real or not. But if you do have the balls to pray to Jesus and ask him to show him self to you in a way you would understand and leave your faith in man alone and you will see
jamesbamaboi 2 months ago
@jamesbamaboi Silly man, you keep missing the point. This is not about deity at all, it's about if Genesis is literal or not. So, do you have data that supports what you say or not? If not, move along citizen.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman naw im not missing the point if you want to know if Jesus is God pray and ask from him to show himself in a way that you can understand cause i could give you all the evidence in the world but you still want believe so go to God and ask him and he will show you. Thats really if you want to know God or you want to keep playing scientist
jamesbamaboi 2 months ago
@jamesbamaboi Irrelevant to the discussion. What we have here is the misrepresentation of science as supporting a particular mythology when it clearly doesn't. No I can see that this is really beyond you to discuss so I'll bid you farewell. This is about data, not feelings, visions, or other touchy-feely BS. have a nice day.
NorthForkFisherman 2 months ago
@NorthForkFisherman But are you trying to see if God exist or not so how is it irrelevant. But i understand you dont want to know the truth you just want to stay where you at in life. It you want facts go to God test God but i see you are scared of what you going to find out so yeah good day
jamesbamaboi 2 months ago
@jamesbamaboi The vidio is about Geology not God. There was no global flood, there is no geologic evidence at all, none.
gregrutz 2 months ago
@jamesbamaboi Please show us the evidence for God, I would like to see some.
gregrutz 2 months ago
@gregrutz if you want proof go to source(Jesus) then, if you would like to see some evidence. But from there you will seek the LORD your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29 a verse to help you on your way
jamesbamaboi 2 months ago
@jamesbamaboi I would seek Jesus but the Jews killed him 2011 years ago.
gregrutz 2 months ago

Its not a "World Flood" or a "Deluge" it was a Localized Mesopotamian Flood, in Genesis, Edan was around the Euphrates[Mesopotamia], Noah landed his ark on Mount Ararat [Northern Mesopotamia], thus a LOCAL FLOOD and proves its a Recycled Myth, it was berosus [3rd Cent BC Hellenistic Scholar] whom first Translated the Babylonian/Sumer Flood Accounts into GREEK [Same language as Septuagint, Hebrew Originals are myth], this makes "Berosus" the progenitor author of Genesis.

kathynsam123 3 months ago

Pattons. kathynsam123 3 months ago
@kathynsam123 Jesus said nothing with regards to evolution. In fact no elements of the Bible refer to evolution unless you are a complete literalist in interpreting Noahs Ark or the Garden of Eden.
