While feeding him week to nuture him back to health, I thought of this scene, and started singing to him. Then I put him down and did (something close) to the dance in the scene...
...and my heart melted when his tail wagged a little. :)
Was the pig ever very nice to another man? It seems like it may have been a very nice pig, swine, as maybe it would occasionally give gifts to nurses or make appropriate phone calls on his best friend's birthday, or maybe the pig let an old woman have his seat on the bus one day, or maybe been very nice to others? If so, the pig was some sort of local hero who gave clothes to local starving children? The pig may have been nice even to one man, or woman, maybe by lighting a candle?
I do the stupidest things with my dogs and cats. I have a cat who loves to play football on Sunday's and two dogs who enjoy silly dancing like this. Even my grandkids think I'm insane at times...... but do we have fun!
@MindFloFreak3 Originally it is Saint-Saëns "Symphony No.3 in C minor (Organ Symphony)". The modern lyrics & arrangement are by Jonathon Hodge, and is called "If I Had Words".
LMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I haven't seen this movies in years but I have always remembered how, when he jumped in the air and grunted, I thought he was going to be hurt or something!
The most random impromptu yet insanely appropriate dance scene in any film ever made... Makes me feel warm inside every time. That'll do pig, that'll do. :)
@x0xKillerPenguinsx0x A agree. when the stoic , silent old man got up and did that it was a total surprise and a joy to watch. So often we encounter stoic, so called "hard" people in our lives, never thinking for a moment that in their private moments they are capable of displaying love, affection and humor for someone else, even a pet. It was a beautiful, HUMAN moment in film.
