Ha, I remember that guy Slight and the elite clans...Guild v. Guild battles were a blast and it was fun to track yourself and others on the ladder...I used to play under the name Grendel back then. Wasnt very good though and it didnt help that I had a dialup connection. I might pick this up on Amazon but Im afraid if I cant get the multiplayer to work I will have wasted my money.

This was an AWESOME fun game, played it feverishly till my eyes bled. I was just a kid and I always got killed but didn't care lol. Wizard was my favorite class, purple instant deathray was so much fun as well as teleporting all around. Then they closed the MP servers though. Sigh. :(

It sucks westwood got their servers shut down. Me and a friend of mine play Nox online though on occasion. How? Game Ranger. Google it. It's free. It acts like a server. Get friends you know who enjoy nox as well, and play with them! If enough people start using it, maybe we can join together and have a big battle and such! WOO! PM me with any questions. Looking to revive a great older game.

Nox was so much fun. I remember the warrior being horribly, horribly overpowered in PvP.

It sucks that it got killed by Diablo 2, it had such awesome potential as a DM / PVP game. Even had capture the flag!

Actually, there's a great program called GameRanger that has support for NoX and alot of other network defunct network games, like Age of Wonders and Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Worth checking out. I'm reinstalling NoX because I saw it on the list of supported games.

Nox was my favorite game as a young kid, I played it a lot, beat it with all the characters in solo quest, and played a lot online and stuff, It was so great, I sitll have the box, in this very room actually, and the manual and stuff, but i dont really know where the CD went to and stuff, but yeah I really wish like some of you do, that they would make another one, a sequel, except with modern, graphics,gamplay, and everything, etc. etc. That would make me so happy, It truly is an epic game! :D

You can still play multiplayer as of today - but it is mostly korean servers and maybe a top of 3 ppl ever play.

the single player campaign is short only 10 levels for each class and some of the levels are the same with minor changes. but the multiplayer was amazing but westwood no longer has servers only way to play multiplayer is on private servers anyone know of any i can join

The only one who gave me trouble was Tempest, and that's because that bastard lived right next door to the server. Tom Green was a good wizard. And then you have some decent clans here and there like CHUR (Happy was a cool, good player) and Ember. I was a part of both for a time. I also remember some randoms like Bubonic and Fireking the Great. Fireking.. lol

my only problem is that for some reason i can't play multiplayer. i go to the multiplayer selection, then the Westwood option (since Network doesnt ever show anything). when it says that i'm downloading a patch or whatever, it gets to 100% but then nothing seems to happen after :( any ideas?

You have to download the Quest patch, then you can play multiplayer by using any kind of username and password, no more need of registering.

You have reached level "Legendary" on all 3 types of character, haven't you. I love this game too. When I kill wizards and go out and sell their stuff for gold. The same thing with warriors. I also sell stuff I can't use and stuff of which I already have one of.
