  • Jospeh Goryeb was a bad actor all the way back then.

Love that laugh in the raceway park commercial... It's amazing the current commercial is identical.

When The Wiz was called by its name and not by its jingle, which doesn't matter anymore since they're out of business.

    Ahhh jeri curls....

  • Wow, so Heart Disease and cancer were the leading causes of death even in the 80s!

  • ha that dales oldsmobile looked funny it looked like he was enjoying that cake

  • This was about the time satellite dish owners complained about WWOR denying access via satellite subscriptions...something about EMI being blackmailed by the cable industry to scramble and be decoded only by cable operators/subscribers. I lived in Fairbanks, AK at the time, and we got the shows 4 hours "earlier". Not bad watching Dave Toma early Sunday mornings!

  • lmao @ the first commercial.. back when call center operators were still American..

  • These are great! LOL Grew up between Queens NY and NJ until I was 21!!

  • Gotta love the old commercials from NY. I grew up in Copiague NY until 1987. This commercials take me back. I had to hear the laugh at the beginning of Raceway park!

  • Gotta love the Raceway Park commercial... D.A. Santucci, Bobby Lagana Sr., John "Brute" Force and others featured... It's located at 2:40 on the clip... You can almost smell the nitro!!...

  • 2:40 AAHH HA HA HA HA HAHAHAAAOOOOOOOO RRRRACEWAY PARK!!!!!! Brings back memories of Nitro Funny Car Racing @ E-Town, I wish there's more classic Raceway Park commercials out there.

BTW what's the song in the background of that commercial?

  • oh wait that was ZZTop "Got Me Under Pressure" nvm

  • Thanks for the vid, though I do hear Kool say "our law" certainly. listen to it ... maybe you flubbed buddy. don't we all :-)

  • How about a commercial block circa 78-82? Featuring Crazy Eddie, The Wiz, PetLand, Nationwide Auto Auction in Brooklyn, Broadway shows, Newmark & Lewis, The Money Store & all those other defunct retail chains we know & love!!!!!

  • Bob Dorian at 3:10!

There was another commercial with him during the '80s that used to air in the NYC area, especially on WNEW. Can't recall what the commercial was about, but only that Dorian was in a car.
