Thanks Ty from Tn. Tha name of that is " J'ai Passe' Devant ta Porte " they tell me it translates into " I passed By Your Door " I just call it a Cajun waltz I like to play it and it is fairly easy . Snowed in today in Alabama !!!!
Just payin' you a visit to listen to some of your fine dulimer music....going back through some of your older stuff. Really great musicianship on your part, Rpatt. You keep the tradition of the dulcimer alive. :) Just wonderful.
Thanks Roger for the inspiration. After 5 years of struggling with the 5 string banjo I stumbled on the dulcimer and your style. I loved it so much that 2 weeks ago I bought my first dulcimer and am now playing Cajun Waltz and trying out some of your other tunes. Thanks again
Thanks Ray . I know you are going to enjoy the dulcimer . I appreaciate you looking at my videos and the good comments . If i can ever be of any assistance , let me know .
Been getting in plenty of practice but my dulcimer has not got the lovely mollow tone of yours. What make, model etc is it? Can you give me details of price and where you bought it?
Glad to hear your practicing lots. I know you are enjoying your dulcimer.
Yoy asked about my dulcimer,It is a Kurt Simerman dulcimer ,preformance model. They are not available anymore .He passed away suddenly a couple of years ago. These dulcimers are in great demand and bring a prenimun price. I have numerous offers for mine from people seeing it on youtube. So far I am still holding on to it .
Hi Roger sorry to bother you again but I have found a guy who makes dulcimers to order. Could you let me have the depth and length of the sound box on your dulcimer. Many thanks
No bother at all Ray . Glad to give you the measurements. The depth is 2 and 1/2 inches deep WITHOUT counting the bottom. The length is 33 inches .Hope this helps .
I'm a late starting beginner on the dulcimer and in Scotland a bit isolated from other dulcimer players, so being able to listen to you and watch you is brilliant. This Cajun Waltz is lovely and I'm just working on it now -with much help from your video. I haven't quite got your easy and relaxed style, which makes it so soft and easy on the ear, but maybe one day - who knows. Anyway, thanks again for this and all your other videos, they are enjoyed and appreciated.
Thank you very much Peter. I am glad you enjoyed the tune . I am really glad to see people take interest and play the dulcimer .If you ever need any help or information ,I will be glad to help
Yup, I am interested in the dulcimer (which is not so often in Germany) but (and I know that it is retarded) I don't have one yet. I've got birthday today (12th of August) so I will probably get some money and spend it for a dulcimer :)
That was beautiful!
