lol thats a good question. In the campaign, stim packs are recognized as illegal drugs *steroids of the future* (I believe sold by the..... speical goliath pilot, he was a dealer).

Stim-packs, in game, are basically quick use steriod injections that raise firing rates and speed of marines for about... 10 seconds. 6

this is an amazing combo if used correctly with brood war's medics which can heal your marines right away and you still gain the steriod-like effect.

Thing is, they use the fictional C-14 rifle, which is pretty much like, err, an AK47, as in reloading. X amount of bullets, they run out, you must insert a new round of bullets.

What I mean is, while the first round of bullets is running out, the marine is still shooting faster, and it would only 'shoot faster' if there were a reloading interval, in which the marine would reload faster.

Point is; if it were because of faster reload, the marine would only be faster at a certain time.

there were never medics in the game. no healing at all. you use the pack you lose life that the rule, it was never a good idea unless you reached max units then you can use in on a group
