This was playing over the house stereo the first time I walked on the stage at Tipitina's in new Orleans. I'd lost my mom a few months before and that night was like redemtion. To hear this song in that moment, it was like a vessel for all my emotions of loss and renewal. I fucking LOVE rbbs.
this man is an absolute champion !!!...there are few that can put that much soul and hurt into a song and still make you happy to hear it in the end....RESPECT....!!!!!!!!
I first heard this song in 1997. I've been searching for it ever since. 14 years. searched for "I remember the rain coming down." when it should have been "I remember seeing the rain coming down." Search engines kept giving me Creadence Clearwater. Finally... here in 2011, Google became sophisticated enought to give me this link. And the song is as good as I remember. Thanks Google
I know the original band split up. Does anybody know what side projects they went on to do? Just curious. I have all of Robert's albums but his one - was the best! I wish the whole gang was together..they had a terrific sound.
Reminds of the first time I flew into LA, seeing all of those lights, and taking the bus all the way across downtown all the way to Hermosa Beach. Love this tune.
no shit, no joke, thank you RBB for making music that can bring me to my knees or up off of them on certain nights when it all gets too much or not enough. This is the kind of music that keeps a man going. Fucking awesome.

Awsome song. Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise is what true music is about. This touches the soul. Thank you Robert Bradley.
