there just are no words to descibe how good bjork is as an artist. she is a true inspiration and also one of only few mainstream musicians that dont make contrived, safe music. she does waht comes naturally to here, it sounds like music from another universe. there will never be another female vocalist as unique as bjork, of that i am positive !
@lennic95 yes it's davis attenborough he started each song with a little "nature" introduction witch has a connection to the song. It was the most beautiful show I've ever seen
Wonder how many people slating this album actually realise that this is the sort of music they'll be listening to, by every band in about 5-6 years time, bjorks music is state of the art and cutting edge... listen to virus and see if it doesn't move you
I've read all these comments and listened to the album - unbelievable... By today's standards the album is well overrated... what are you guys listening to..?
@7westham I really don't think reading these comments only will iluminate the concept and construction of this album. Perhaps you should do some more research. And whatya mean by "today's standards" ? Björk is known for going her own way and thinking new directions. Biophilia is, IMO, a somewhat new musical landscape. I suggest you go and do some homework, then we might talk :3
she's amazing. incredible. out of this world, lover, healer, natural wonder- 8th wonder of the world :) I LOVE where she is going. Thank you for posting this.
I love that crazy, frantic swell at the end of Hollow and how the audience keeps thinking the song is over.
To be honest, I like the subtle direction she's going in but at the moment it feels like a lot of the songs are too understated and need to have more to them. Not necessarily louder/faster, they just need a lot more electronic goodness and layering happening. Her delaying the album because she felt it wasn't good enough makes me pretty happy, should be amazing.
@Bjork, Thank you again for creating another beautiful body of sound.Every time I listen to this it sends me on an incredible vicarious journey. The Gods blessed this Earth in this lifetime with such a beautiful musical force..You!! Your Ancestral Spirits must be so proud of you for channeling them as you do. Thank you !

Bjork: Inventor of Musical Instruments. Impressive. Very impressive. She did what the late-great Michael Jackson always wanted to do. Madonna, herself, also put Bjork on a pedestal. She reminds me of a DaVinci of our time or something to that effect. She truly is a musical genius.
@ChronosCatharsis she is absolutely amazing. have you heard thunderbolt? probably since you watched this video, but it is SO great! i love the harmonic chords from the choir and her voice in the middle of Thunderbolt. Prob. my fav song on the album from hearing it live.
@cascadafreak98 Yes the song is great indeed. I am really impatient about the album. But fortunately September is just around the corner and it won't take long anymore <3
@cascadafreak98 Really? Good to know :D Something to look forward to again. Yes she indeed is. I can't actually wait for what comes after Biophilia even though it has not even started yet *_*
@ChronosCatharsis oh yeah, she will come up with some AMAZING things. I think this will be able 2 compete w/ homogenic and vespertine... It is definitely a contender fro her best album yet.
and i thought she couldn't have made the older tracks lusher...she's outdone herself once again. the new songs are just divine. Everything here is beautiful.
SHE IS WONDERFUL , NOW IS TRYING TO GET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE UNION OF THE UNIVERSE AND THE SOUNDS OF NATURE, I REALLY LOVE WHAT SHE IS DOING NATURE, TECHNOLOGY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY AS HANDS ARE COMING OF BJORK

virus one of the best songs i've heard, a bit sly and perverted & then it ends up sounding like a traditional english lay (insert joke here_). great sounds, esp in the new songs but esp in Isobel chorus. yuck to the inclusion of past hits because she doesn't have same singing voice as before, she sorta intones along to the music voltaic onwards. all the new songs are faintly incredible, except for that one. love how she's touring an upcoming album! biophilia a sprawling, mutating organism. YAY!
@MrTonyInchpractice Actually, you might find in the 2nd Isobel chorus she pulls her voice together, giving it more power, and hitting the higher notes tons better than the 1st...
@madanonymous She already has. ;) A live album will be included in the Biophilia Manual which you can order at the björkshop on bjork.com. But be quick, it's limited and they only take orders until Aug. 12. :)
@antontronbon i agree, that group of people from the vespertine tour were the best. i think this choir is actually icelandic though, she is getting back to her roots...
