  • 4:34.....omg

  • Were can I find an instrument wrap for the euphonium? does any professional body knows?

  • Who's heard Christian Lindberg do this on trombone and double-tongue his solo into the oblivions of awesome so fast it makes normal trombone players **** their pants?

I have and it's still just as amazing as when I first heard it. Hope you find it

  • Planning on using this as my college audition piece. Been listening to this recording cause its the best i've found.

  • Ummm I have to play this as a freshmen in highschool..aha..seems pretty challenging...nothing too challenging rhythmically I guess...But I'm working on it! Stupid flats..good thing they are in the slow part..well wish me luck!

  • they dont put an "A" where the Bbb is because "A" doesnt fit the chord, even though it technically has the same pitch. idk if u would understand that or not

  • @devonmoore1219 That's about the size of it. For example, a dominant 7th chord is made up of 3rds, as in C-E-G-Bb. So if you want a Cb 7th chord, then of course it would be Cb-Eb-Gb-Bbb. In the key of Cb, an A (equal in pitch to a Bbb) would not fit well.

  • My band teacher just gave me this to use for college auditions and for my solo recital... I'm a bit nervous but excited! Also, I feel inexperienced, having to ask this, but how do you play the double B flat? What's the fingering for it?

  • @SunshineGirl92594 If you mean the low B-flat (bass clef), that is often called a "Pedal B-flat" and it is played open. It is the same fingering as the B-flat on the 2nd line of the bass clef staff, and you can go down from pedal B-flat the same as from low B-flat (open, 2nd valve, 1st valve, 1&2, etc.). It's a good range to practice a little every day.

  • @dwerden Thank you for the advice, but that's not the one I meant... on my piece, there is a point when a the concert b flat (in bass clef, the tuning note) has two flats next to it. I was just wondering what that was. I haven't played something with that before.

  • @SunshineGirl92594 Ah, I get it. I was taking "double b-flat" as one would take "double high c". A double flat is kind-of like math, as is a double sharp (which looks like a funny X). A single flat lowers a pitch by one half step. A double flat does that twice, so it lowers the pitch by 2 half steps. In this case it changes it from b natural, to b-flat, finally to A. Does that make sense? By the same token, a G double sharp goes from G to G sharp to A.

  • @dwerden Oh, okay, thank you. I wonder why they didn't just say

    A then...

  • Playing this for all state this year. So souped, can't wait till i get it down!

  • @cbriden21 Yeah, it's a fun piece to play. Good luck at state!

  • I'm auditioning for the army band in a week and I'm doing this song.

  • The C# is beautiful. Full, clear, everything mine was not. Well at least I hit it..

  • I played this my junior year of high school. I practiced it hard and sounded great!!! but sucked at the contest :( still gotta 1 though ;)

  • WE have a kid in band who played this in 8th grade. He is good. Nice song.

  • this piece brings back some memories! performed this my sophmore year of college, no where as brilliant as this though. Power to the Euph's!

  • I've just been assigned this solo for my recital this semester. I'm so excited to play it - especially that C#!!!! ... If I can... I've just been listening to that tiny section repeatedly. It's my absolute favorite part and I'll be very sad if I have to take the optional E instead.

  • I've played this before, just nowhere near as good!!!!!

  • Wow! Thank you for posting this! This is great playing! Very beautiful tone as well as technical elements!
