So i just clean my kefir grains with cooled boiled water and let them dry in a some hot place, they turn black? then I can reuse them again and they will work just fine like before??
@qasion Well yes, that's what you get. You did it the right way. And that's the product., if you don't like sour too much then you can change the taste adding some other things to it.
@SocalDNM Sure it is. You need to get yourself a dictionary.
More importantly, you need to take an anger management course -- they really do wonders helping individuals such as yourself begin to lead normal, productive lives.
I just received fresh water kefir grains that are still wet. So, how much fresh juice do I add to it to store it in the refrigerator? I am brand new to this. Can you tell me step by step how I make my first batch with fresh water kefir grains?
Thankyou so much for your information.I am new to kefir and very excied my kifer is 2 weeks old and is small kile cottage cheese and tastes sour.Is that normal. Thanks
is it bad if i feed kefir to my cat he has a terrible diarrhea so i thought that might be a good idea to help. i use pasterized there is nothing wrong with it in fact its better, raw milk might be better to help but paster is safer, less likely to have contaminate organisms, cuz raw is a risk, as long as your pasert milk has no antibiotic or hormone then what is the problem?
Where did they come from?! That's what I wanna know! I gave mine some manuka honey in the milk, which went well, but then they seemed to gradually disappear... I think I killed them with a metal spoon :(

@qasion the 'spoiling' is the fermenting process

@Flamingo001 OK thanks. I was throwing my milk in the drain because of the sour taste of it every time I do a patch, usually in 24 hours.

@MsVenaLuna YOu may have killed them with the honey. Honey can be anti-microbial.
