Swim, Swim , Swim! Avoid breastroke or "frog kick" it could hurt your knee more. If you aren't much of a swimmer you can wear a belt and grab a kick board, water jogging and water zumba are great too. You are beautiful and strong you'll do it :)
when im pissed off i play really well in sport...granted sport is something i do a lot at a very high level and enjoy hugely...like a thrill..but it doesnt mean you cant catch on...take up a sport to help you lose weight...my football and hockey matches keep my fitter than my gym sessions do...people underrate what 90 minutes of sprinting around and having to use your muscles to play the sport can do...id lose another 50 pounds and then join a social sports team in any sport to help you...
I love that song. You are right you can do it just as you did it before! Don't let the set back upset you and send you back to a place you fought so hard to get out of. I will pray for you!! We all know you can do it.
I am in the same boat you are in! I also have trouble with my knees and I weigh 380 pounds!! I have found that the easiest exercise for me (that dosen't hurt my knees) is to do aquafitness or water aerobics. You should look into it. Exercising in water really takes the weight off my knees.
Kresha God has brought you this far so he didn't do that to have you fail, it was because of his grace that you lost 1oo pounds so by that same grace you'll reach your goal through Christ Jesus;;;;;God Bless!
Woman, BE STRONG! Just like the song says, he is going to MAKE A WAY! You've come this far. Don't give up now. Get the surgery if that's what you have to do and get back on the grind! Trials only come to make you STRONG! You can do it! I believe in you!!!
Look into water aerobics it is less stress on the joints and also a lot of fun!!! I am so very proud of all you have done and yes Ma'am he will make a way.......even when we think there is no way. That's the awesome GOD we serve! Keep it up and I look forward to great news in the months to come.
hey girl, don't let anything get you down. There is always a way. You know the stories of people who dont have limbs, but find a way to do everyday things. Like the guy who had no hand and learned how to drive with his feet. Amazing! Try doing some weight regimens: no you don't have to buy some expensive weights use what you have. Stuff ur bag with canned food or anything heavy and zip it up: Presto you have a girly weight.
Rem the script bout the man waitn to b healed at the gate Jesus said rise and take your bed and walk. This weight thing is your bed u have to carry it NOW and never forget it. This is your Fight and u r WINNIN.
Hey Lady I've been following your videos or a minute and they all have been inspiring. But what happens sometimes when we've completed something we quickly need another goal or it wil get boring and become an old hat instead of that motivation that kept us going no matter what we r focused on that one thing. Know the enemy has came in to trick us and has caused doubt! You r still on track this is the time now to regroup learn from this an press forward!
I think if you lsot 100 pounds on your own, surgery is not for you. You'll get back on track i'm sure. you've just come too far to go back. To the prayer and meditation, add something healthy to eat. You can do it, and i know you will. God bless.
I always hated this when people gave me this advice whenever I was injured... but if you can, it might be best to take it easy and let your knee get back to 100%. Be real strict on the food, and when your knee is better, get back into the exercise routine. It will be hard, but worth it, imho. BTW, your hair is so super-cute!!
I love the new look, Sorry to here about the injury but, as so many has suggested I also think water aerobics would be great. I hurt my knee also and that is what I did. Hope you feel better
Wow, you look fantastic. Surgery is definately not the way for you. As u said you've worked too hard. I know how that feels as im on my own weight loss journey and god knows its difficult. As a personal struggle it has its advantages such as building confidence, resilience and will power. It you do it naturally these are attributes that will never leave you and u can apply them to any area of your life,Work, relationships... please keep going this is just a temp hick up, hopefully
When I worked for and Orthopedics office they always suggested water aerobics. Also maybe ask your doctor to write you a Rx for Physical Therapy...these people will help you regain the strengths in your joints/knees and will help you find ways to exercise so you don't hurt yourself.
Hi kresha. You are so Beautiful. (in pic and in person) Be encourage. God will help you through this. He hears your heart and you are already INSCRIBED AND SEALED for a good year to come. Love you. See you in St.Maarten soon. From Sister Charlise
I think u r so awesome and have come so far! I would recommend checking into the program that I am on....it is called the Weigh Down Diet. I has totally changed my relationship with food. I eat only when I am physicially hunger and I stop when I am full. i seek God when I want to eat for other reasons. I have lost 81lbs and still losing. WLS is for some but it does not work if u don't deal with the reasons why u eat and habits. God bless ur journey no matter what ur decision. u can do it!
Hey my Kresha, girl you can do this without surgery. I have done pool therapy because of my back. Working out in the water is wonderful!!!!!!!!! You want feel any pain. Be encourage and keep up the good work. Love Ya!!
You can do it you have come this far I know you can go way futher. The water aerobics that others have said is a great way to work out also you can sit and lift free weights for you arms I have also seen those sit down steppers and bikes have you tried them? so your not putting weight on your knee.
Hi Kresha, I love your new haircut. You are definitely working it. Don't let your medical situation or weight gain get you down. Everybody has set backs but you have to overcome them. I would suggest swimming for a workout. I am not sure if you know how to swim but now that you have cut your hair you don't have to worry about your hair getting wet :-) Continue to be an inspiration and be used by God. I am cheering you.
You are so beautiful my sista. I love your honesty and I believe you will get through this with the help of the lord. Do what you can with the exercise, adjust your calorie intake, your weight loss may become slower but at least you be going in the right direction. You need to find that balance again and I know you will. Btw try doing water exercises, you burn alot of calories and you don't have to put weight on your knees, I know cuz I have bad knees too. Stay strong mama. God Bless!
Kresha! Hey it's Rebecca--Look can do this!! You have come so far & the woman I know goes for what she wants right! Though it may be hard, since you can't work out but 15 min at a time... try water aerobics it burns A LOT of calories. I will be prayin for you. I leave you with this...you are one on the strongest women I know, you are a beautiful person inside and out, and are an inspiration to everyone you meet, let's get you back on the postitve side of things:) Keep prayin Luv ya--Rebecca
Kresh! You can do this!!! A person below suggested water aerobics. I will go with you whatever you need. You have my support. The addiction is strong but you ARE stronger. U know a wise man once said the Relapse is a part of recovery (Ap Reid). Although it may feel like it, you are not in this by yourself. Love u, cuz!
Even with surgery you still have to exercise and eat properly. Also there's risk of complications and even death. Continue using prayer, but I hope you also have resources to support you. Diet & excercise are both important but diet is about 70% of the battle. A coworker swears by the Zone book. She weighs her food and exercises 5-6 days/wk. Be very strict about your diet 6 days a week and allow 1 free day. How about walking and the eliptical machine? Good luck in your journey. You can do it.
It's a series of books by Barry Sears, Phd. The one my coworker recommends starting off with is called A Week in the Zone. Google it and it will come up on Amazon and you can read the reviews. She says he gives you the basics of what you should eat and how much in a format that is very easy to follow. When she was at her heaviest and not able to exercise comfortably she was losing weight steadily by following this plan. Feel free to ask any further questions. Take Care.
sorry that you are having a hard time right now. just have faith you will get to where you need to go,i have faith in you. i needed surgery to change my life and i still gain weight just like before, its a tool but its also a journey of weight loss. gain and losses are part of the journey. well get well soon =)
Kresha...I so love the honesty and openess on this vid....somebody is going to hap up on this and be SO encouraged....I think that the lessons and wisdom that you are learning through this process is way more heavier and deeper than 15 pounds....Keep up the good work...these vids are inspirational even to those who are not in the weight loss adventure...with much love respect...
HUM? Well i say follow your heart. Knees don't repair easily IF EVER. Research and see what other exercises you can do....try them see how the loss goes....if you have beat the addiction then the surgery can be approached with continued great results!
Stay encouraged, you are such an inspiration, plus think of it like this you caught yourself! I know it's 15lbs but compared to the 100 you lost it's a minor set back. I know your struggle VERY WELL so I will pray for your continued encouragement and strength. And like you said surgery isn't for everyone but whether you choose that route or not the real choice is that you are choosing to live. Be blessed sister and thanks for inspiring us!
First I would like to say all blessings to you for you have come a long way on your journey.,,,Congrads...this is a minor set back and life brings those. I also would like to say surgery is not cheating, its a tool and depending on how you use your tool depends on your results. So through the will power and discipline you've endured on your own, you have do with surgery. Everyone is different and to each her own so be blessing to those who have or have not had surgery. Blessings to you!!!!!!
First and for most, Bless you, Second, Love the hair, Third I too had knee surgery on Aug 5, still is painful, Fourthly, I will pray for encouragement for you, you can do it, you came this far. God Bless you, looking forward to more videos from you.
LOL,Kresha I am still recovering, he said that it will take time, I have returned to work on restricted dutys for 3 months. I still cant bend my knee properly or take stairs, I still experience swelling, I will eventually have to get a knee replacement.
stay encouraged! and please dont go the weightloss surgery route. U have come too far, so trust U will make it. Have u tried water aerobics, its really good for knees, and back, and joint pain and injuries. I know its getting cold, but u may want to look into that until ur knee gets better!
Oh yes he will make a way!! I know how you feel but you have accomplished so much on your weight loss journey and you definitely have an excellent plan in place. I do not believe that weight loss surgery is the easy way out/cheating, but I do believe that you can make the rest of your journey without it. What ever you decide I support you 100%!! Girl! I love your new look. Take care. Peace and blessings.
First I want to say that nothing is impossible for God, secondly you are beautiful:) and thirdly hang in their sister God will answer your prayers and he will let you know what you need to do. God Bless You.
First thing i would like to say you look good girl with your new hair cute, you can do it & you have did it with losing 100 lbs on your own dont you turn to surgery that is not the way to go & i will like you to come along with me on my 21day challenge & i will be making a video about it so that you can see all that has to be done, you SAY I can only do 15min work out, that does not mean you cant lose & God wants you to turn to him & give him all your pain & trobles YOU CAN DROP THAT WEIGHT =)
Yeah ! It's not easy at all. look how long I have been going and wow i should have lost alot by now. but wow it's not easy my girl. you be encouraged and hang in there. Don't you dare give up or into surgery. I love you and keep on keeping on my girl.
You can get back on track, I know! Been there myself. I changed my diet to a VLCD one because I noticed alot of loose excess skin & the VLCD offered to rid me of that. But my body didn't like tjhat after after losing 24 lbs in 32 days my body REBELLED! & I just could not stop eating. I gained back 44 lbs!!! in just 5 weeks!! I'm back on track now thanks to God! When the evening comes that's when I would cheat, so I said Lord I really want to cheat, I think I'm gonna cheat, help me not to cheat &
the Lord amazingly kept me strong & gave me away out. This is what I do now in the evenings. I save 250 of my calories & have a "Hot chocolate" whey protein powder shake made with 250ml/ 8 fl oz of slightly hot skim milk + 250ml slightly hot water. I recommend having it 2 - 3 hours after your last meal or an hour before bed. Please try this & let me know if it helps as it really worked for me :)
Well surgery is not cheating but to me and everyone has there own feelings.. But I see surgery as a easy way of escape for the meantime. Regardless of what surgery you get the main thing is you yourself have to learn how to eat healthy. period. Yes loosing on your own is the brave way to take. IF YOU Have to get it done then you have to. Some people who get it done has not put up a fight to even loose anything ....
i think you've done AMAZING so far. i don't feel i have any place to offer tips or advice especially since you've already lost over 100 lbs! just wanted to let you know you are not alone in this struggle with weight. take care and God bless!
Remember, He did not bring you this far to leave you!!!! Continue to pray on it and you WILL find your way... Your setbacks are set ups for something greater. Take this time not to put yourself down, but to focus on how you can become stronger both physcially and mentally. God bless and take care!
I am still in process myself i have went from being 226pds to 197pds and everyday it's a struggle. I have learned to control the things i can and leave the uncontrollable to God. So if u can't workout like u want to right now u can still lose weight by gaining back your discipline in the eating department (i'm an emotional eater also)and lowering your caloric intake so that you're still losing weight. You have come to far to let anything set u back u can still do this girl!! Stay encouraged!!!
Girl....1st of all you have lost 100pds kudos!!!! That is a tough thing to do for most people without any assistance. Now i'm not bashing those who have had the surgery but i feel like if you are physically capable to think and move on your own u can lose weight.
Love the hair! I cut mine too...I had lapband surgery in Feb of this year and struggled with the idea of it initially too, however, now I just wish that I had done it earlier. It's definately a personal joirney & I know if you stay on your knees you'll find the right answer for you. But surgery is not cheating, it's a successful tool/aid for me & many others. I still struggle & still have to go to the gym on a regular basis as well as limit what/how much I eat. Best of luck on your journey.
LOVE IT !!!!!!!!

Watched your videos - if you're knee is hurting - there is low impact exercises such as swimming and yoga.
Surgery sound STUPID at this point !!
Just 'see' yourself thin - make that your focus - and you will get back on track - if you have not already again !!
Your mind is playing games with you - that's all - tell yourself you are going to be thin !! Like you imagine food - imagine yourself thin !!

stay encouraged! and please dont go the weightloss surgery route. U have come too far, so trust U will make it. Have u tried water aerobics, its really good for knees, and back, and joint pain and injuries. I know its getting cold, but u may want to look into that until ur knee gets better!
Stay in there!
Much Love,
Jenny

Oh yes he will make a way!! I know how you feel but you have accomplished so much on your weight loss journey and you definitely have an excellent plan in place. I do not believe that weight loss surgery is the easy way out/cheating, but I do believe that you can make the rest of your journey without it. What ever you decide I support you 100%!! Girl! I love your new look. Take care. Peace and blessings.

Now i'm not bashing those who have had the surgery but i feel like if you are physically capable to think and move on your own u can lose weight.

surgery is not cheating, it another tool.
