I have always loved this song. It was one of the rare times Ernie showed his more serious side. Don't remember this duet though. Sounds good, but Aaron Neville always kinda freaks me out how he moves his mouth around so much. But great song! One of my all time SSt. faves!
did anyone else have a preview that is for a gruesome horror film about an exorcism?...yea didn't seem like the right thing to have before i watch Ernie sing
This was like my FAVE song from Sesame Street!!! This brings back memories of when they would show this episode.....now Sesame Street is like different! They don't have Harry, or Maria and all the other good characters although they kept some people like Gordon, and Elmo. I just wish Sesame Street will become the same old, and original Sesame Street :)
It was just like yesterday when I was eating a bowl of apple and cinnamon oatmeal watching this for the first time sitting on the couch at my mother's house.
i heard so many renditions of this song...but aaron neville made it so soulful and touching. I love how this song stirs up good emotions....other artist need to watch this and learn that it is ok to sing it, but they need to make us feel it...sweetttt! i love it!!
i had to be about 2 or 3 when i first saw this on sesame street and I cried then. i'm now 31 and it still makes me tear up. I love, love, love this song and Earnie will always be my favorite.
this is the version I remember the most but I never knew the man's name until now. I just always remembered he had a nice voice and wore a cowboy hat!
♥My daughter now watches this with the same amazement I had on my face as a child. This song is a classic.
