Aw man. I should have listened to this dialog more closely before I went and had the American Dream installed in my home. I screwed up and put an 8-track stereo in every room, instead of a color TV. Dammit! :-(
This movie surprised me big time. I like movies like Elizabeth, Lost in translation, Old Boy..but this movie is definitely a top 10. It's 1of my favorites now
The one liner that's "all time favorite of mine" . Is when Preist goes to Scatter's restaurant and ask him to front for his last score so he can get out the game. When Scatter acted like he didn't want to do it Eddie comes back with one of the classic lines of Superfly by saying: "Shhhhiiitt YOU CAN GET IT NIGGA - YO LINES IS STILL OPEN"!........Then Scatter pulls his pistol out and says to Preist: " I kill this nigga of yours". CLASSIC GANGSTA/PIMP SHIT!!
Yea I know it's a movie but do you know how many cats really lived and breathed that shit every single day in reality the same exact feeling and way, but what hurts when you watch the real love thats betrayed between them two as pot'nus it was really real like that back then, NOW? That shit is none void around cats today.
Classic.

That cat trips me out! It's funny how he went from slanging in Superfly to becoming Mr T's trainer in Rocky III...

Not nearly as trippy as Roscoe going from Willie Dynamite to... Gordon on Sesame Street.
