@xmvirus202 Ok That's Understandable, It Is Still Possible To Pick The Originals Up From Time To Time But They Are Not Free Flowing Anymore. I Have 2 Old Record Players WithThe Original Cartridges Still In Good Working Order Which Is Lucky I Guess Considering They Are Nearly 50 Years Old. There Is Quite A Few Listed In The U.S On E-Bay.com That Would Probably Be Suitable?
I believe it is close to the original issue date, I got it from my mother's storage back home, it had been stepped on and covered in mold from being stored in a shed outside the house. It also has some severe cracks on the outer rim. Thanks for your comment!
Awesome! I want an RCA Victor slide-o-matic record player!
I saw the first one, but when I tried to look for this part on your channel, I'd click "2", to go to the second page, and it would just send me back to my homepage. Luckily this was in the "related" section.
The Slide-o-matic tonearms are very different from the conventional one on the other players. I had to take off the little metal tab on the underside of the tonearm towards where the rear of the old crystal cartridge was so that the low rider can be recessed enough for the record to slide in without hitting the needle on the low rider.
Sounds pretty damn good to me with that old original 45! five *****'s. Say, something looks mighty familiar there at 2:28? What on earth could that be...
That 45 RPM record looks to beat up. I wouldn't play it, it could damage the needle.

When I find 45's that look like that, they sound like crap, am in shock that how good it still sounds, sometimes vinyl was made to take abuse.

loved the way these old 50`s and 60`s units used a copper chassis. when they`re all shined up they look sexy.

Ha Ha! You got the LowRider cartridge in there. Those cartridges are great. I have several of them on my RCA 45 players. Nice vid XM!!

@frangiul13 The "Lowrider" carts appear commonly in modern art deco stereo systems by companies like Crosley.
