so i don't know so much but i could give you a very nice link, but it doesn't use a lot if you don't understand german.
i cant say you when this video was taken but i would guess the part in front of the cut 0:57 were taken before 1970 and the rest after (i believe). ;-)
i think its not a complete lap but nearly, i would say in the cut is a little piece missing and at the end should be a little part, but i'm not sure!
this is the old südschleife, she were driven 1927 to ~ 1969-1970 but 1970 and1971 they worked at the nordschleife (hohenrain, döttinger höhe ...) and the südschleife was forgotten, 'cause she was too dangerous ( i believe the average was 1 dead driver every 2nd race, it's definitely too much) and i think it was to expensive. before 1971 there were also an other track called südkurve or betonschleife which connectet the nord- and südschleife. 1971 they built the gp track
@Arianovich yes as well, a part of the südschleife exists today as a normal country road from the nürburgring to müllenbach (watch on google maps or earth) next to the eifeldorf grüne hölle the street k20 and then right the k72 this is a part. the bocksberg or müllenbachkurve is a part of bicycleroad near müllenbach (i belive) and the end is in the buisness park of müllenbach. by rassrück and scharfer kopf are some driveways to parkings by the dunlop-kehre on the gp circuit.
@MrThatzmi You seem to know a lot about the Sudschleife, do you know when this film was taken? the track seems in a pretty bad state of repair here, do you know if this is a whole lap?
They installed armco to the nordscheilfe in 1970ish, I presume they did not install any in the sudschelife and therefore stopped using it?
if i was in charge of the nurburgring (it will never happen... but still) i would tear out that POS GP track and restore the sudschlief to where it belongs and then the full Ring would be in full operation again! Too bad nobody in charge of things in germany has gotten that done.....
in the beginning of the ring there are some races of northcourse + southcours + Start/ziel Betonschleife together. Then the north course become popular to car /F1 races and there where some Motorbike races on the southcourse. After building the F1 GP course 84 , the southcourse is history / parts of it are regular street now.
They did, German GP 1927-30, where they ran both Nord+Sud for 28kmt laps, and Sud alone in a Form2 race in 1960. Other than that, mostly used for minor classes/races and possibly MCs. Not used since 1970 for serious stuff. Its very narrow and unprotected and unlike Nord, ran straight past housing like Spa. So alrdy back then, it was probably deemed too dangerous, or simply, too long, since the Nord was draining ppls heads alot alrdy :)
I drove around what parts I could a couple of years ago. It's somewhat more chopped up now, and the north end is completely gone.

Leider unmöglich, da ein Teil heute Bundesstraße ist und ein anderer Teil mit der heutigen GP Strecke kollidieren würde.

Did people race here or was it just an auto testing facility
