what sufjan does is great music, but at the same time so much more. i cant quite put my finger on it, though. sometimes when i listen to his songs, i realize certain things about me and my life and the way i see the world, it makes me see the solutions to problems i didnt know i had, and sometimes i think, thank god i didnt know about this or that negative aspect in my life before, for i dont know what i wouldve done if i hadnt known that there is a song out there that helps me get through it.

I cannot put into words how much I love this song. I've always liked him. But, I really started listening a summer ago when my neigbors son died very quickly of cancer only a few months after being diagnosed. I grew up with him and his family for over 22 years. I'm not religous at all but honestly this man's music is not of this world and I would not have gotten through it without his music. He is prophet that brings about healing through his compositions.
