Have you ever heard of high speed cameras?? They use them to film crashes, then they later watch them in normal speed to study the effects of the crash.
You thought this was the actual speed?
Congratulations you have just proved you're an idiot.
@McLarenMercedes I know about slow motion cam, but this is not one of those cams, I mean maybe, but dummy dont act, like a hit with some high speed, just look and think about it more and then call people "idiots" you fucking poseur
I think there would be a slight difference when it would go at the for some idiots "normal" speed in around 200mph or so on the highway and hit a concrete pole.
You guys that are opposing crash tests, you know what they do them for right? They actually put some research into this car for the safety of the tens of thousands of people who will buy and drive these. Better to lose a bit of money than a priceless human being.
Man that sucks. Who would do that to a Lamborghini? Oh, I know, most of the morons who have the money to buy them. Seriously, if you have a Lamborghini, you should be careful with it. Not keep it in a garage 24/7, but make sure nothing bad happens to it. Especially don't total it.
@iamdiggy24 not really. manufacturer's have to test them, and it doesn't actually cost them 200,000 or whatever to build. that's only what WE pay for it. haha
@bhargav1 I work at a car dealership, and if there is even a simple chip in the windshield the owner will replace it. We then go out back and throw rocks at said windsheild once it has been replaced. You would be surprised how durable they are, and how hard it is to put a hole through one.
GM, Ford, and Chrysler all build most their shitty cars outside of the US. They come from all over, Mexico(They build all the transmissions down there), Brazil, Africa, China, Mongolia(OK maybe not). I seriously think, now I do not have solid proof to back it up, that the only GM plant in the US that REALLY fully builds cars is the one in Bowling Green. The rest, if any, just assemble parts from across the border.
well, when two vehicles hot each other and the combined velocity is 80 mph, they really is no survival for any of the occupants in any of those two vehicles.
NO driver would survive if their vehicle crashed at 80 mph. That is 128km/h. Just too much energy from the impact. Even if you have a super safe car with 10 airbags, you will just not live.
You must not know a lot about car accidents as you think that even a long crumple zone would protect drivers at 80 mph. Look at 40 mph crash tests. The hood is almost all gone to the energy. Even if you crashed head-on into a wall, the forces would be even dispatched more evenly, but the results would still be bad. Imagine if you rollover at 80 mph or imagine hitting some other vehicle at that speed at an angle.
If you visited my channel, you would have seen that I was born in Russia and currently live in Canada. I agree with you that American cars all suck and have bad reliability and their safety is not all that great. Japanese manufacturers (notably Honda and Toyota) have caught up a lot and Toyota has even surpassed GM in terms of sales volume.
People can survive head on collisions in cars at over 125mph these days because of better car engineering. So none of you know what the hell your talking about. And FYI US Americans put together much better cars than the ones from the 1970-1990 era. According to JD power our Buick's are just as reliable as a Toyota built Lexus.
Matter fact, Toyota and many other companies have plants in the USA so American hands put those cars together.
Yeah, Toyota and Honda hire US workers to work in their plants. That's a good thing, as it supports the struggling US economy right now. And I am not really against US manufacturers, you know. There are just my style. And I never fucking chance even a head-on collision at 125mph with anything. Why don't you go and try that and tell me if you survive?
Okay, I know all about crumple zones, that's how people survive accidents today - I'm just saying that not only do NASCAR stadiums have that plastic I was talking about, the cars have very good crumple zones
well not really, did you know when diana died in a car crash and the other 2 people in the car lived, the car was travelling at 120mph (note:2 people lived), you need to take the physics class IDIOT!!
but your from the states and your cars are not very good in crashes and 80mph is fast to you guys in the states (and i have spoken to lots of peopel from the states and they agree. once you start to hit the 100 mph in a french car then you can worry, but if you are in a merc, bmw, or audi etc you are likely to walk out of it
The model that u crash test give it to me before cause it's gone either way ; ) (wink)

its not that safe
imagine hitting a car at that speed
who is going to take up the engergy from hitting the car if the lambo dot crunch up ---
you are - thats how people die in crashes
benf1991 3 years ago
well, when two vehicles hot each other and the combined velocity is 80 mph, they really is no survival for any of the occupants in any of those two vehicles.
alexkvaskov 3 years ago
thats not true
80mph isnt fast
its not even the speed limit in a lot of european countrys. many roads in germany are built for 120mph+
if you hit a big mercedes or bmw in that you are gonna die yeah. but the merc driver is not gonna die at 80
benf1991 3 years ago
NO driver would survive if their vehicle crashed at 80 mph. That is 128km/h. Just too much energy from the impact. Even if you have a super safe car with 10 airbags, you will just not live.
alexkvaskov 3 years ago
yes they would
it proves you dont know much about cars because airbags dont mean the car is safe
if you have a small car yes you can die but a big mercedes is not gonna kill you unless you were hit by a lorry
benf1991 3 years ago

Bad management in GM and Chrysler plants prevent the workers from doing quality work. Honda and Toyota have better quality control
alexkvaskov 3 years ago
then explain how the cars in NASCAR crash at 180 mph and the drivers survive?
bapedout 3 years ago 3
There are special plastic barriers surrounding the stadium that are VERY hard, but when hit at such speeds, they crumple
alexkvaskov 3 years ago
shock absorbing crumple zones, respect for knowing modern mechanics buddy.

I go 100mph in my 2002 chevy blazer.
Its not so much the cars as it is the people and the culture were brought up in.
Here they teach you that speed is bad, and very dangerous.
But really its only dangerous without control.
Not to mention we have allot more manufacturers and car models overall than most countries so the chance for one of them to be crap is pretty high.
Companies that have too much to manage get sloppy like GM did.
