@bushman14 Significantly greater reliability, higher power output, lighter (giving more payload), higher TBO (7000hrs) would never touch a piston in the Canadian Arctic. A PT-6 conversion just makes good business sense, more efficient, more reliable, overall a superior power plant. May not be as 'cool' as the R2800s, but turbines make good business sense, have you ever flown a PT-6 powered aircraft.
