Why are people saying the shows suck this year? They aren't that bad. In fact I think All Area did a fantastic job with the show. It's unique, a lil cheesy, but it's very well put together with the whole timeline thing and representation of the crew.

just one reservation though... i'm surprised no one is getting angry about 5:14. that set (exactly with the side dancers) has junior written all over it...

Yea I thought this showcase was amazing but bboy Junior and his crew have been doing 5:14 for such a long time. Its really surprising to me that they would lose to Wanted at BOTY 2001 and then bite their signature routine years later. Im glad a Japan crew finally won a big international competition and they deserve it but they cant pull another bite like that.

bboy junio has a unique style, look at his highlight anyway. if they do one thing that seems similar, it doesnt mean that "they bite his signature routine" ...

What? The routine at 5:14 has nothing to do with Taisuke, and of course the bboy there is different from Junior but the routine is just a mirror image. One person doing a handstand while copying other crew members' steps is the exact same routine Wanted Crew always does. I really like this crew, but 5:14 is a huge bite.

It really wouldn't be all that surprising if they thought of that on their on. The routine is fun to watch but it isn't all that creative, its pretty common for people to come up with similar ideas all across the world.

Yea but the thing is bboys know other bboys. And a lot of people that now make up All Area Crew battled Wanted, the crew that originally had the routine, in 2001 and lost. It wasnt an accident if thats what you're implying.
