It would be better for Iran if they can be freed from their unelected dictator. We have one in our Country, but we do not suffer brutality from the British Government, we just tolerate their corruption. I hope that the Iranian regime becomes more moderate, and also stops the stoning of women. Keep up the struggle, you can win if you fight.
There's plenty of evidence the election was rigged though. And even if it wasn't, the fact that the supreme leader is unelected and he chooses who can run and who can't combined with the attempts to ban protests and dissent take away all legitimacy this government might have had.
Not a shred of evidence that the elections were fraudulent?
The government official who said Ahmadinedjad had lost was killed in a mysterious car crash. All over the country the rates are the same, 65% for Ahmadinedjad. The entire country voted exactly the same!? They counted around 40 million votes in about an hour! How did they do that?
You're clearly an idiot if you think the elections were okay.
Not only that but the Kurds supposedly voted overwhelmingly for Ahmadinedjad. That would be like Dick Cheney carrying the upper east side of Manhattan.
What you're seeing is a people who refuse to be CHEATED! The shame is that the election was fraudulent. Or do you POSSIBLY believe that millions upon millions votes can be counted in 4 hours? Please!!!
As a college student in the late 70s, I lived in a dorm with dozens of Iranian students. They were some of the best friends I made back then, and when I watch this video I see their faces and remember their names.
My heart aches for the people of Iran, but I am thrilled that history has handed them this moment to truly make a difference in their country. All freedom loving people are behind you. The whole world is watching. Don't give up.
Truly you should not say such atrocities. They are fighting for the respect of their voices, for their rights... It wasn't an election. It was a Coup d'Etat.
You would do the same in their situation, so please don't say stupid things.
If you want to help, please click on my name and visit the links in my profile. They are links to ways to open proxies so Iranians can send more videos and images like this out to the world.
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always."
Truely heartbreaking! Stand firm in your cause for Freedom! The people of the world are BEHIND YOU! Many prayers are going up for THE PEOPLE of Iran!!!
These people are being treated on the ground of a shelter with hands! If you cannot trust a hospital to treat you then Iran's society is officially broken. Iran has crossed a threshold now. The future decisions don't matter anymore Iran has changed.
for iran to do such things in its own country only shows a weakness in its own people! All the surrounding nations are pleased that this is happening to the people they would like to invade to make them become weak you break their unity and that is what they are doing now! KEEP FIGHTING IRAN! Khouda shouma bebena
Yes, it will probably get worse before it gets better, but I know - WE [the people of the United States and the world who ARE watching and hoping for the best for you as well as all of us] KNOW - you WILL overcome this deception and tyranny and that YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!
This struggle is for you, your family, your friends, anyone/everyone you care for and for THE PRESENT & FUTURE OF YOUR COUNTRY AND OUR WORLD.
It is sick that these people cannot get proper medical treatment for the harm their gov't has inflicted. It's difficult to watch and I know that being there is far worse......stay strong. We are watching and praying that you gain the freedom you are fighting for. The gov't is fighting a losing battle. Be well.
This breaks my heart. How will these people find the strength and courage to go on. We all say we are with you but that is enough- we're not being killed by these evil bastards.
We love you, Iran! The will of the people cannot be stifled and ignored forever! You are all shining examples of the unbreakable fortitude of the human spirit. I wish I could join you in this fight, but from all the way here in America, I can only offer prayers and words of support for your cause. You have been so brave!!
We are praying for you - and we will continue to do so! Know that we care - our hearts are breaking as we watch your suffering. Bless you and keep you safe.

President Oblahblah needs to grab some cojones & at least support the protestors with some tough talk vis-a-vis the mullahs. Nobody wants to see the US go in shooting or anything like that; just be at least as tough minded as Angela Merkel!
p.s. GWB won in 2000 outright, even as counted afterwards by the nutbar liberal media - give it a rest!
We don't need more of the Mideast to hate the U.S. Pres. Obama has already spoken about this and we the American people understand why people are angry. But we're in hot water already and we'll be in even hotter water.
Our President was prudent in, as kevmuc said, treating the situation with reserve. This election is about what happened to the votes and why is the Iranian gov't complacent in killing their people. Please don't disrespect the message of this video.
Keep the US out of this. It would be a big mistake to try to intervene by means of force and could potentially lead to a hell of a lot more than just Iraq Vol. 2.
The Iranian people need our military's help like they need another hole in their head. Going over there dropping bombs will just unify them against us. We've already interfered enough with their country.
if you have anything but empathy in your heart for iranians right now, you are brainwashed by an anti-muslim sentiment, which is exactly what terrorist muslim organizations want the disposition of non-islamic people to be, furthering their cause. i pray that these people be given their election as they deserve. what is happening in iran right now is a mirror image of what would have taken place in the US if the republicans had stolen the election from Obama: nationwide civil unrest and dissent.

no evidence?
1) a letter leaked by a gov't IT worker from the interior ministry to the Ayatollah stating the real election results, with Ahmadinejad third.
2) the fact that in some areas, there were more votes than voters- e.g. according to Guardian live blog, in a town called Taft, the turnout was 141%
wdoroidft 2 years ago 2

Johnny, I guaruntee that the americans will not do anything.
That would be completley counterproductive for the mousavi supporters.
Now that a considerable amount of blood has been spilt the mousavi supporters have martyrs, make no mistake, they will not give in and will triumph.
However i fear that many thousands of lives will be lost over the course of the journey, but they will get true democracy.
