How much fabric did it take to cover your headboard?
Also where does the transition from flat to padded occur? In other words Does the padded portion lip over the box spring or the mattress or somewhere in between?
I know it'll sound funny but cutting the foam with an electric knife {yeah the one we use for carving up the turkey every year} works really fast and clean.
Use a string with a pencil on the end. Hold the other end of the string fixed about 8-10ft from the top of the board. Then draw the arch with the pencil. Make the string longer or shorter depending how you want the curve to look.

Thanks for sharing. How did you mark such a perfect curve on your headboard before cutting it? Did you use a special tool?
