  • Adrian Smith playing the blues. I like that. And now, let's get to the point: UP THE IRONS!!!!

  • 100th like :)

  • this is from IRON MAIDEN The Movie

  • @BlackRakoo flight 666.. but yours sounds funny. haha. id watch it

  • I don't think Adrian and Nicko are the only ones... Bruce surely warms up, he puts his vocal chords through quite a lot and I doubt he does all that without warming up. Janick at least stretches out because he bounces around so much during a show.

  • "He's a bit of a bastard, he knows exactly where to clump ye' "

    :L Nicko is great!

  • on the rock in rio dvd you can also see steve practicing..., and janick.. and of course bruce :C

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan RULES

  • Bruce always finds a shitter to sing in ;)

  • I didnt know rodney mullen was the singer of iron maiden :p

  • Yes, Bruce does indeed practice before gig, so shame on all who gave thumbs up to maticmik, and to maticmik himself.

  • nobody beats adrian smith

  • ''the blues is the root, the rest is the fruit'' ...(Willie Dixon).

  • I love the whole Maiden crew! They seem so nice to me, especially Dave, Nicko and Bruce.

  • this is classic rock and roll

  • Ahh, Iron Maiden. When metal was actually good and didn't have some asshole yelling his lungs out to sound "br00tal".

To remove the blues aspect of metal is like removing the tits from a stripper.

  • nice he cant blues to.he a great guitar player.hail for iron.\m/

  • What is that strange thing Smith's got on his Strat next to the bridge?!

  • @PietroRumenta it's a roland synth pickup.

  • @Strayfender Thanks mate.

Is it something like that strange synth pickup that Ritchie Blackmore used to use on one of his Strat?

  • @PietroRumenta it's the same, although adrian uses a smaller pickup.

  • @Strayfender Thank you very much

  • @Strayfender What does a synth pickup do?

  • @rockguitar2012 It lets you use a guitar as a synthesizer. Instead of playing keys on a keyboard, the notes are read by the synth pickup and can be voiced however you chose--as a piano, sting section, woodwind, etc. The pickup runs to a processor that can be programmed.

  • @irondarwin Thanks :)

  • nice girl behand of drums^^

  • 0:12

    hehe

  • can someone please tell me what song he is playing to??

  • @16shn he's not playing any song

    he's just jamming

  • @TiagoNigga i mean what backing track is playing? i think its pride and joy

  • One of the few times i've seen adrian play ANYTHING on the neck pickup!

  • @RickyboyH Infinite Dreams intro, Adrian with neck pickup

  • "How many times has the old man retired?"

Apparently not as many times as he's going to... if you look on the band's website he's back again for the "Final Frontier" tour. LOL...

  • Comment removed

  • Man...this Guy is so cool....i love him!!

  • love this fender, the best guitar !!

  • que cancion tan pasada.....nodding donkey blues

  • Adrian and Nicko are the only ones that practice before gig...

  • and bruce!!

  • @maticmik actually bruce does too, but its more screamin haha.

  • @maticmik I wouldn't say practice. Warm up i would say

  • @maticmik

i know that steve puts wax on his hands or something...lol

    they all rule though :)

  • @maticmik bruce does too..on the toilets^^

    it's also on this DVD

  • @maticmik No thats total mistaken. All of em warm up before a show.Even a little.

  • @maticmik Bruce exercises his voice I think

  • @maticmik That sounds about right, I am surprised Dave doesn't considering the fast hamerons and pulloffs he does. How does one pulloff that shit without getting blood to the fingers

  • @maticmik I'm pretty sure Bruce does too.

  • @maticmik

    What about Bruce ? :b

  • It all goes back to blues, even the legends look back to the masters. You go, Adrian . (Wonder what Dave practices before a gig...anyone know?)

  • @DuneRunnerX most like legato licks (e.g hammer on pull off licks

  • @mythbuster1991 and how much does it matters to us do you actually think almost every awsome metal guitarist plays blues to blues is like something you have to know how to play whitout it its much harder to play metal and dude this is a guitar god song 2

  • @mythbuster1991 no shit, that's his style a bit of blues mixed with metal

  • @mythbuster1991 yes,and i like

  • @mythbuster1991 Yeah that's obvious that Adrian Smith plays the blues, most metal guitarists write solo's from blues licks. Every metal guitar player I know (including myself) use the blues scales every once in a while to write solos because blues is where rock started therefore we "fucking metalheads" are not PWNED. Up The Irons!!!

  • @mythbuster1991 not so pwned.. AS is a good musician, and good musicians plays good music. :)

  • @mythbuster1991 he plays good music, yes. whats your point? still one of the greatest guitar players ever

  • @mythbuster1991 WTF? It's supposed to show how open-minded metalheads are, not how close-minded "bluesers" are...

  • @mythbuster1991 Dude I´m a Total metalhead, and I also love blues, so WTF... I like from Classical Music,Blues,Jazz,Rock and Roll... to Heavy,Thrash and Death metal... so I dont see the point of your comment...

  • This is a song from Stevie Ray Vaughan called Pride And Joy :D! UP THE IRONS!

  • WOWW this is amazing,,, and btw is what adrians playing pride and joy or is the backing track pride and joy, i thourght adrian was improvising. up the irons

  • It is Pride and Joy :D

  • @Uptheironsserbia666 Funny. I was just thinking "this kinda sounds like Stevie Ray Vaughan" and then I saw your comment. :)

  • Adrian sure knows his blues, and even more so, his metal, what a god, and he can sing as well, and Nicko is the man, lol! UP THE IRONS!!!!!
