something like this would be a good thing- encourage more eco-friendly ways of cooking. these devices could be recharged by solar panals in poorer countries to cook foods with little prepartion and fuel cost. fast food industries are probably responsable for halting furhter development. after all, portable cooking would pretty much spell the end for people buying fast food, its even more convienient and probably healthier to reheat meals made before by yourself.
I have a small kitchen and would really like to have a Beanzawave... I need microwave for e.g. heating cup of milk, only. It would be perfect... really great is the low need of power, too.
I hope I will be published, but I guess the chance is low. :(
@kayandralovesemily, I will microwave this microwave when they release it but I have all ready microwaved two full size microwave ovens in a bigger microwave oven. One was the iWAVE cube & the other was a panasonic brand .7 cubic foot microwave. v=ZDrgMLTZd60 for the iWAVE & v=L1sKEPjI_JY for the Panasonic. I think microwaving a Beazawave microwave when it gets released should prove exciting.
he said that it has batteries, so li-ion i would assume, the usb is probably to recharge, so plug it in a computer like you would an ipod, or that is the connection for the charger cable, if not one of those, idunno, kind of a pain, but hey i would buy one!
This looks like something the Onion News would do. Its so small, I find it hard to imagine it would work. I suspect this is actually just a model or very early proof of concept.
Since the light stays on ALL THE TIME, it would run down the battery very quickly. Plus if stop the video at :30 you will see the LCD display is actually a decal or sticker. So I call Shanagans!
Show us a video again when you actually have a working unit This isnt CES you know.
I would buy one!!! Love from Singapore.

It's a prototype, do a Google search and read about it at Fast Company.
