I don't know, I just can't get it sorry! The power is there, the livery etc but the look of the loco's now!?! Nah...... To friendly and Eurostar-ish, I know things had to progress but you can't beat the look and sound of a 37 or a 40!! Something that looked like it was giving the rails helmet as well as sounded like it!!! Brute unrestrained POWER!!!

I work on the 67's,and DB Schenker have isolated the purge cycle on starting up ,to improve the life of the starter motors.

No use being nostalgic about old 60s & 70s machinery, they have a business to run and they need something that starts in the morning. Remember there's still stiff competition from road transport in the UK.
