Favorite thing about this song: 2:35 to the final chorus. The way that it's written demands lots of quick voice-switching, which innately weakens the singer's strength, which to me represents the character's fear at finally deciding to speak her mind. He was a music teacher in the Upper Darby District for twenty five years and just died of cancer in March. He changed many musician's lives. This song really hit the mark today. Thank you Jonathan! Natalie does this song beautifully. The character singing the song is repressed, doesn't show emotion, hasn't shown emotion in ages, and is starting to break out of that shell with this song.

If she sang it with an overabundance of emotion, she'd be out of character. And it would show.

This isn't a piece to be done with huge gestures and flamboyant tears. It's supposed to be a simmering eruption. It's supposed to be quiet. Hence the name.
