BTW I recently read some interesting stuff about how Misery (really good film, I'm assuming the book was good as well) was partially inspired by the murder of John Lennon.
I guess John Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman bares an uncanny resemblance to the reclusive author prompting at least one individual to conclude that Stephen King was the real killer. He even drove around the area of King's residence in a van with a big banner on the side that read "Stephen King Killed John Lennon!"... ahh! This movie was horrible, it didn't do a damn bit of justice to the book. The acting was wooden and forced, the camera work and musical score didn't convey the right atmosphere...and the FREAKING Evil Spider Form looks like a damn king crab!?!? WTF! Didn't these fools ever see Krull? THAT was a scary-ass bug! I get annoyed thinking how good it could have been, I hope someone remakes it in all its infernal glory!

I wasn't so scared of this movie once I realized Tim Curry voiced a talking rat in Barbie and the Nutcracker...I told this to my little sister after I watched it with her. She didn't know what I was talking about so I told her that yes, that rat you saw in the movie use to be an evil clown that lived in the drains and drags children down there and eats them...but I didn't mean to make her cry..
I don't think it's fair to say that the movie isn't scary. It was a made-for-television movie, which certainly lessens its impact, and it was made 21 years ago, and boundaries have been pushed a lot further since then. Nonetheless, young or old, I doubt any of us looked at clowns the same way after seeing "It".
I was more afraid of Tim Curry as Darkness from Legend than from IT, although IT was when I figured out Tim was just awesome and one hell of an actor. And this was way before the like of Alan Cumming and Andy Serkis.

The video might be good is the sound didn't have SERIOUS clipping issues. I don't know if that's just how the sound file was when you botained it or if something you did caused the clipping issues, but it's fucking horrible.

I wasn't so scared of this movie once I realized Tim Curry voiced a talking rat in Barbie and the Nutcracker...I told this to my little sister after I watched it with her. She didn't know what I was talking about so I told her that yes, that rat you saw in the movie use to be an evil clown that lived in the drains and drags children down there and eats them...but I didn't mean to make her cry..

I don't think it's fair to say that the movie isn't scary. It was a made-for-television movie, which certainly lessens its impact, and it was made 21 years ago, and boundaries have been pushed a lot further since then. Nonetheless, young or old, I doubt any of us looked at clowns the same way after seeing "It".

I was more afraid of Tim Curry as Darkness from Legend than from IT, although IT was when I figured out Tim was just awesome and one hell of an actor. And this was way before the like of Alan Cumming and Andy Serkis.

The video might be good is the sound didn't have SERIOUS clipping issues. I don't know if that's just how the sound file was when you botained it or if something you did caused the clipping issues, but it's fucking horrible.

I saw this when i was younger and i was petrified. the acting kinda sucks but whatever. the only part that kinda gets to me now is the part with the picture and the clown is flipping all through out the town and then he jumps off the pole and points at the kids.
