Here's the elephant in the room no sees: NO serious research has begun BECAUSE the DEA has forbidden, which is WHY marijuana is still ridiculously classified as being as dangerous as heroin. The DEA does NOT want any research done, because they KNOW that scientific study will show it to be LESS harmful than ALCOHOL.
