  • This is very steven wilson.......

  • I can totally see some kinda Twilight Zone stuff to this.

  • Love the stereo effect. How is that achieved?

  • @d3tach3d It is just a stereo panning effect. It's actually what I regret about this video. It sounds cool on speakers, but on headphones it's overdone. I didn't know at the time because I was using speakers.

  • this sounds sick.

  • this shits hella ill,it remindes me.of

zelda wen you go in the caves

    the old zela

  • Nice flutter on the delay - is this from the podX3 ?

  • @DDtelecaster Yes. I used the "tube echo" effect.

  • Now that I actually listen to this, it reminds me of Shape Shifters. A lot.

  • thats a cool guitar effect on there, sounds like a delay with a lowpass filter on it? good stuff either way

  • And why is that?

  • Because he's my boyfriend :P

  • I see...=]

  • Yep (: I got two thumbs down lol

  • reminds me of some animals as leaders type stuff, keep it up

  • That was pretty cool.

  • I dont have any Idea why, but some of the parts here, especially at 1:20 .

Those parts remind me of Twilight Princess, from Zelda, seriously man

And the Strat, you do the finish yourself, right?

  • Yes. XD It's two 97 cent cans of wal-mart paint. Flat black. The original finish was getting really worn. Modern guitar finishes look like crap when they wear instead of looking cool like the old nitrocellulose finishes. I also really don't like a thick plasticky finish on a guitar in the first place. That's the main reason I sanded it.

  • Lol Yeah, that glossy finishes look sort of...common...When I saw it, thats why I asked, its because it looks extraordinary and better than most,

  • It kinda reminds me of the music between two songs on a CD. I really like the effect.

  • I see what you mean, an interlude. I believe that's exactly what this will be.

  • how did you get that echo like wind sound dude?! It sounds awesome!!!!

  • Thanks man! It's the tube echo with the flutter and feedback almost all the way up. I'm also running a reverb(can't remember which) and auto pan. I think the windy sound is mostly the flutter and feedback on the tube echo.

  • oh cool man thanks. great playing! but anyways by the way do you think there are any cheap condensor mics that are like $100 for a pair? I saw your drum recording video and you said something about the audio technicas. but i was wondering if there are anything cheaper? thanks in advance.

  • There are some large diaphragm MXL mics that are around $70 each. I wouldn't go any cheaper than that. The Behringer and nady stuff can be really unreliable and is often broken right at the start.

  • oh alright man thanks i guess i better start saving up!!!

  • That's where some of the inspiration for this song came from.

  • Dudee i Fuckiinn lovee those soundss man !

  • Thanks man!

  • Gave me chills. Seriously cool man.

  • Woah this is pretty cool. I deffinatlley liked it.

  • Thanks man! You're always one of the first people to comment.
