I play on Heisman and it is difficult indeed. However patient playcalling will guarantee success.

lots of halfback delays , alittle playaction and a few screens and you're in business. Remember, even the worst teams will crush you if you are predictable.

All you have to do is run the ball 20 times a game and the passing game will work fine. I have it on the 2nd highest difficulty and I love it!! Having a great defense is what it's all about too. Blitzing is a big part of the game now but just make sure you have ALL spots covered and that you NEVER play man to man!! The only thing I do notice is if I am killing an elite team, sometimes I go to tackle and I go through the damn guy. I guess we are too good for the game sometimes!!

Your "leading the pass" idea would work if u could control the amount if lead. U risk over throwing into the coverage. And on that last point, u need a quarterback with a good arm otherwise you threw a floater into the secondary

I don't get everyone's problems with the passing. Yes, there are a lot of amazing plays made by defenses (MLB's knocking down deep passes, and secondary reaction times), but if this didn't happen the game would be way too easy. I can destroy defenses by passing the ball (on heisman, with Rice). It all comes down to playing smart, checking down receivers and spreading the ball around.

The pass defense on this game isnalmost superhuman. I feel punishes you for passing the ball. Its a good thing no one stops the run up the middle

The passing in this game is total shit. On Madden 12' and anything before NCAA 12' I completed north of 80% of my passes. On this one, my average completion is 40%. Thankfully the computer can't stop the run up the middle for shit and I can manage to tack on some points. Best receivers corp in the game my ass, they don't catch anything, miss easy passes, and let it bounce off their helmet's 90% of the time.

and whenever your guy is barely open in the post route against cover 2 man it seems like you shoot him a bullet but the far safety seems to always be the quarterback's target, as if you're wide receiver has to haul as* to get across the field then jump in front of the safety... n guards don't know how to block a mlb, but thats just the start of it...

Who can forget the great times where (All American for me) WRs watch a pass wizz by them that they could easily catch, or it hits them in the helmet. A secondary that can jump through your wide outs and make a pick, and MLBs with a fifty foot vertical. Oh, and why is my TE the only reciver I have who can hold on to the damn ball? Who can forget when a CB is running infront of your WR and slows him down to the point that the pass is an easy incomplete and no flag is on the field.

I feel like the corners turn into the wide recievers and it pisses me off cuz no matter how good my WR is and how horrible the CB is the corner still picks it off and it could be just a simple jump ball... The only way i feel that your can be 6'7" and wouldnt be able to make the pass

Create a custom playbook with plays you are comfortable with but always practice new plays to expand you book in time. Good players even the computer will ajust to you calling the same 5 plays over one game. So the more plays you have the more you catch them off guard. And do not give up on your gameplan if you go 3 and out. Persistence is key. Finally RUN THE BALL!! Evenlly running and passing will open up big plays. Hope I helped. Ok, so just made the bump up; play on heisman. I only play online dynasty but all my boys are some legit players. The defence is def ridiculous. I'm actually pretty solid at defence but my offence sucked donkey d!ck lol. I'm actually getting the hang of it though. The directional passing really works you just gotta practice plays a lot and learn were to through the ball. It also helps when you learn to recognize the defences skeme (4-3, 3-4). Then you hotroute and make adjustments to receivers.

Those weren't tips......that was common sense shit, except for the curl route, b/c if you throw it at the right time, it's almost impossible for the corner to get a jump on the pass & intercept it. Slants are the best/cheapest way to beat an opponent, look at the backers & see which receiver has the best chance of catching the ball, then do hurry up, cause if you keep the drive going, there will be an offsides penalty on the defense.

I'm playing as a QB in road to glory on Heisman difficulty, and after my first season, in 5 of the 14 games, receiver drops + defense deflections were more than my completions for the game. BULLSH*T. 99% sure that all the teams I played against were leading the NCAA in pass deflections.

I tried turning down the CPU's pass coverage all the way to zero and i still can rarely complete a pass without it being deflected. Also my playbooks and plays inside of them sometimes glitch and aren't visible but I click the play anyways and the players just jumble up and stand around in a group around the ball?!?! Wtf is wrong with this game? lol.. They need to patch several things..

I've been buying this game every year since it came out (I'm old) and this is BY FAR the worst edition. After playing more than 40 games at AA level I have not once completed more than 50% of passes in a game (and every other passing complaint people have logged comes into play here too). Also, the opposing team has LITERALLY not missed a FG... in 40+ games... I had an FCS school line up for a 57-yard FG against me and drill it... with 15 yards to spare. Just a jaw-droppingly bad game.

someguy8484 you are completely right i am seriously adjusting sliders to try and fix this game and its somewhat working. The CPU's formation on Defense is based on your offensive play (pass, run, PA) so its incedibly hard... unless you, for example, call a run play with a 4 receiver set. The D will almost always be a 4-3 (unless on 3rd and long) and a change to a deep pass will ALWAYS get a huge game. this game is completly broken, do they watch football to see what its like????????

NCAA 12 is completely fucking broken and this video was obv. made using fr/var difficulty. Defenders have INSTANT reaction times, psychic DBs jump routes before ball even leaves QBs hand with their back to QB, LBs jump 20 ft to swat balls 1 handed, CPU playcalling is psychic and lines up in nickel 3 front after 8 runs when you call PA, if you audible he audibles with you, PA pass results in a sack 50% of the time, leading blockers ignore CBs to turn inside and block DT 10 ft away. Great job EA!!

its been love hate with this game .i think i finally have it figured out last year i slinged the ball all over the place at will. This year its tougher you need to get to the line of scrimmage use motion to read coverages and audible accordingly. If you see a blitz mobile qb is huge so you can roll away from it. The defense is a little ridiculous so if you throw a pick just accept it you have a good chance of getting the ball back in this with a good d.

When I play the CPU, sometimes when he audibles, he looks over to the sideline likes he's getting the play from his coach, or he'll go up to the offensive line out of shotgun and yell stuff at them, I was wondering how I can make that type of audible too and if it does anything different than a regular audible!!!

this is prolly on varsity or freshmen difficulty. You cant pass because of:

1. LB's that played in NBA

2. DB's are all carbon copys or Darrel Revis or Nnmadi. I can understand a good cn knocking down passes but not a 60 ovrall

Had only 2,000 passing yards with Darron Thomas in 1 season then started running the ball and i did even better. Its easier having a balanced offense.

0:46 Why in the world would you throw it low? Either throw it to the wide-out's right side or don't force the pass in a direction, so you can get some possible yards after the catch. Curl routes are easy to throw to because usually you have an opening the one side of the receiver and makes an easy catch and potential for YAC.
