  • i have the speck case ( blue ) for my macbook pro 15

also i have a privacy screen protector for my macbook pro

  • thats the exact same case I have. (The red speck case)

  • I've got a blue speck cade for my MacBook Pro but I don't like it. But, it's got many many scratches so I guess it's saved the laptop.

  • Was us a ponzi mac book pro? , you should just change to a windows notebook, a major design flaw in macbook cuz it to run at over 70degrees (for some instance).

  • Im lookin for a laptop case. If u could hit me back on YouTube or anyone else dat knows. A website where I could purchase one let me know. Thnkx

  • rapidly cooling ur macbook my damage it more

  • oh and one last question for you... which temperature monitoring would you recommend? I personally am using Notebook Hardware Control but for some apparent reason, the cpu temperature stays idle at 0 degree Celsius / 32 Degrees Fahrenheit. IDK what's wrong with it. it never changes but everything else like the club load, battery charge, HD temperature changes, except the cpu temperature. please help!!!

  • which would you rather recommend, a chill pak or Zalman Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler? let me know. thanks

  • Ive done it... works fine

  • That spec case is horrible for the macbook... it over heats the mac book.. because the vents it has open are only the hdd and battery... not the proccesor so my macbook over heats a hell loud

  • wow your gay

  • I use belkin cooling pad I do not trust chill pack as it can block the vents easily.

  • Condensation?

  • I want a MAC but i cant afford one :(

  • Im saving up for one.... mowing lawns....+$220 per month...

  • oh i have a griffin fan sometimes...

  • my hottest part is the hard drive... the processor is powerfil, but i have good cooling...

  • I'm interested in this to cut down on fan noise for recording and processing audio. I'd buy this only to stop the fan from whirring constantly.

  • Why is it bad to have a hot laptop? What does it do to it?

  • Nothing it's just noisy when you're recording near it. The mic picks up noise. Also cooling the CPU can speed it up.

  • Hi Gabe,

Take a look at the Mobile Rak for your laptop. It holds your cell phone at eye level.

  • . Port Replicator - This is one essential you should consider buying for your laptop or notebook computer. Its a real hassle dealing with all those wires and connections on your laptop - thats where your port replicator or docking station solves your problem. Plug all your peripherals into the docking station or port replicator - connect and disconnect your laptop with ease without having to deal with all those wires and connections. A must have!

  • BBQ!!

  • You're and asshole

  • OMGWTF!!!

  • wats with the "e ya later" thing about?

  • i got speck case

  • dude i get the point of the chill pack but seriously cant ou just buy an extra large ice pack for half the price.

  • I have a Red Speck Hard Case for my 17" MBP.

Also waiting for my Balmuda "Floater" to come in the mail.

  • You need a chill pack

  • You need a chill pack

  • That pad is okay but, not near the battery?, that's like 30% of the bottom of most laptops!, also once thawed, it would insulate the laptop. Check out "Ixoft" from thermaltake, it uses chemical technology to disperse heat. Mine works almost as well as my coolermaster aluminum notepal. Takes 5 degrees celcius of my full load temps, requires no power (or freezing!) and costs like $30. Good topic Chris.

  • Hmmm.. On my Mac Book, its only about 5%. Maybe you have a big chunky windows thing-a-ma-bob? I can't call windows laptops a laptop, they are so thick! :P

  • i use a mini mouse, and a cooling fan pad thingy

  • Hi Chris

Thanks for telling us which microphone you use. I asked for the C01U Recording/ Podcasting Pak for Christmas. Now I want to know what video camera you use.

    Thanks

    spikeymac

  • It's a canon gl2

  • HaHa you have a laptop for your dog? I dont even have one.

  • I use a mouse on mine.

  • its way easier with a mouse...

  • this is kinda a noobish question but. if you have a intel core dou extream does that mean that you have 2 processers in stead of 1 like a intel pentium 4? plz comment back or message ty

  • no its just DUAL CORE get it core......dont worry your not a noob

  • thnks because in think of up grading my computer and i didnt know what processer to get ty

  • A processor is the chip itself. Processor = CPU. A core is like a mini CPU inside the CPU, and two cores have two "mini" CPUs.

  • i have this usb fan thing that u set under the laptop

  • I have a green speck case for my blackbook.

  • The best thing for your laptop getting to hot is to just place a pencil under the back it keeps it running much cooler.

  • i thought chris didnt like APPLE.

  • He was probably just ignorantly biased, like most others who don't like apple. Kinda like with him and the iPhone, he makes a rant and 10 reasons not to get it, and then buys it and loves it.

  • Well apple is used for different purposes than a pc. Apple is more for media, like photo and video editing while pc is more for gaming and everything else. I thnk alot of movie companys use apple for theyre movie editing.

  • Nope get over that myth already. I am tired of the Mac's are only for media. Mac's can do way more than media. We can do every single thing a pc can do and more and that is a fact. Mostly everything we can do without the need for windows. The main thing mac's can't do running os x is running all the games out. And even that is changing though, and besides who wastes their time on gaymes?

  • I'm gonna make a dockingstation for my MacBook Pro with Lego's :D (dockingstation != portreplicator)

And I have my portable DVD-player as a tiny second monitor where I can keep my Stickam room while I browse around. Apple has DVI-to-S-video out converters, pretty neat.

And with Synergy, I'll be able to put my Lego-dockingstation-powered MacBook next to my PC running either XP or Ubuntu and use 1 keyboard/mouse for both without additional hardware. Synergy doesn't seem to word with Leopard tho.

  • I love the Lego idea, I might do the same for my Palm TX handheld! Cheers! :)

  • Lego still is the best toy around if you ask me. Never out of ideas (and I'm not the only one I see :D)

Make a video about it when its done :P

    Cheers too

  • Great accessories

  • My MacBook Pro arrives in about a week now, not sure what I might buy to go with it. :D Great video btw.

  • sweet
