@ianxofour you can pass the story after poisoning him. when he fall to the floor an drops the staff, you can grab the weapon and you can kill him when he is dying in the floor just before he dies by the poison, but you lose the staff in the next battle

@Greyz174 if you have an xbox, you can keep copies of your savegame files as you play thru. when you want to replay, just load up an old savegame. a similar strategy can be use on pc.

i play on ps3. they locked the savegames on ps3, so i have to make copies of my entire hard drive in order to "replay" the game. its a total pain.

@asafscher borgias dead body at the beginning of the video is pretty much on top of the passage. you open it by pressing interact button when you approach the switches against the wall (use eagle vision)

This is pretty incredible. I'd go try this myself is they'd allowed us to replay story missions like in AC1.. Biggest disappoint of the game.

My husband bought this game and had the hardest time killing this guy. he tried following this video and it didn't help one lil bit. So I had to go by the book. And after 30 times or more of trying to kill this guy. He got it done in 2 minutes. So if you are having a hard time with this game Go buy the book its only 20 dollars.

I could say the same. This is one of the only ways to get the papal staff. Of course you can't kill him. If you did, you wouldn't be able to get it.
