  • Does anyone know the opening song he plays with the pog? I hope it is not just improv.

  • @ZebrasFromHell The Rain Song , Led Zeppelin,

  • 2:18 is that Gentle Giant?

    Awesome Pedal!!!

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • At the very, very end, at like 3:43, what effects are you using there? Is that a rotovibe thats giving it that swirling sort of effect? I wish someone would make a video of this combination: Clean sound with a little reverb through a 30 watt all tube amp for a base. Then, a dunlop fuzzface, rotovibe and the pog2 pedal set for one octave up full and one octave down - about 1/2 way. (actually, it doesnt have to be an octave pedal as intricate or expensive as the pog).

  • What is better, Whammy 4 or POG 2?

  • @gonde21 The Whammy isn't entirely polyphonic so can't track as well as the POG 2 - if you try to play chords it can be a bit glitchy and not produce a clean signal. However, lots of people like that and it's become very characteristic of the 'Whammy sound' made famous by people like Tom Morello/Dave Gilmour etc. The POG-2 also has the attack/decay options meaning you can treat it more like a synth; but the whammy has a lot more harmonising options and the in-built expression pedal is great.

  • Reminds me of The Funeral by Band of Horses!

  • I can't believe all the cool boxes EHX is making these days. I want all of them.

  • 2:50 is just amazing...breathtaking you could capture that.

  • The Rain Song <3

  • the organ sound at the end sealed the deal to this pedal

  • I was debating whether to get the smaller POG or the POG2 as I want a really good mainly lower octave pedal. That Rain Song version has got to be the best thing I have ever heard, mind boggling on one guitar, unbelievable cool. This is the puppy for me massive low octave, oh yeah, great demo!!!

  • fucking dead mans party omg fuck yeah

  • 2 words:

    In Repair...

    (actually a POG 1 but ok C;)

  • where's the pedal in the fx chain?

  • This is the best demo I have ever heard. Personal Jesus, The Rain Song, Where the Streets Have No Name. This makes me want to go out and buy one. :P

  • personal jesus!

  • NIB

  • 2:49 is that where the streets have no name intro?

  • now i dont have to learn how to play the organ, thank you!

  • Hey Andy, I love your videos! Can you reproduce the sound of a baritone guitar with the pog 2?

  • this pedal is freaking awesome, too bad my instrument shop is a bunch of wankers that don't know shit about anything except Les Paul guitars... When i went down there in hopes of someone maybe being able to help me with this little thing, nobody could do shit for me. I didn't know how to get the setup like the organ, and after 20 minutes of just constantly trying my way forward (i might be a dumbass, but they should help me) all they said was "well you can always buy it and try yourself"... herp

  • rain song ftw

  • U2 where the streets have no name? o_O

  • 2:48 is why i'm now going to buy this.

  • your demos are the best, you just convinced me, I need it !

  • I was playing the guitar part of Streets in my head. I love that pedal

  • Hi can anyone tell me at the end where he uses the anolog delay can I get the same or similiar sound from my space echo combined with this ????

  • the rain song at the beginning, i loved the demo

  • Streets :)

  • The intro Led Zeppelin cover was awesome.

  • very cool ,and sounds very good.Maybe using a "rotor" effect, there could be an hammond sound?would that work? What would it sound like with this one on bass?maybe only best for guitar...

  • i kinda think the 1st pog sounded better

  • Rain Song ftw!

  • Finally, a pedal demo that uses actual songs. Great for my one guitar ,4 piece cover band.Great guitar player most likely

  • The rain song rendition at the beginning was wondrous

  • ProGuitarShop is rockin

  • 2:50 anybody else hear "Where the Streets Have No Name"?

  • follow me now and you will not regret...leaving the life you lead before we met. and when i go there i go there with you....it's all i can do

  • nice black sabbath:P

  • would this work with bass?

  • @lpage2112 Yes, works fantastic. I've only tried it with standard turning though so I have no experience with drop tunings and the POG2.

  • for the organ setting that was used in the video, could I use a digital delay to create a similar sound or would I have to use an analog delay?

  • haha i knew he couldnt resist where the streets have no name with that organ sound, who could? :D

  • Only one thing missing: Jon Lord organ solo!

  • Hahahaha oingo boingo!!

  • you shoulve played In Repair by john mayer! he uses this pedal!!

  • NIB!

  • 2:10 "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo! Awesome. Another fine vid, Andy. I want one!

  • Where the streets have no name and Rain song in one demo ??? Cool :-)

  • you guys must make so much money from this! you have so many reviews and all so good.

  • completamente il valore €218,71

  • @sblopez08 dov'è che l'hai trovato a quel prezzo?

  • Rain Song! I love it!

  • im defenitaly saving up for this..and hopefully when my grandma goes to india she could get me a sarangi

  • that sabbath made my day

    awesome shit here andy

  • Hey, nice demo! Wish the POG2 had an output for an expression pedal. Anyone knows any similar pedals to POG2 that has a seperate output for expression pedal?

  • @ElectronRomance maybe the HOG from electroharmonix ;)-

  • If I simulate a bass with this pedal on my 50 watt amplifier, will the extremelly low frequencies damage my amp??

  • @vver shouldn't. i've played with a different octaver that did the exact same thing on several amps and it never hurt them.

  • Cool :D i will buy this one :)

  • Andy, love your U2 influences :D

  • Brilliant... it makes your guitar sound like - err - a guitar! Where do I sign up for one of these things? Love the PGSD demos, by the way, don't hate the playa

  • Rain Song Intro was awesome

  • at 2:45... why did you used a volume pedal if you could just adjust the pog 2 attack in order to make the same effect??

  • @MrNebelful You could certainly use a slow attack but for this example the volume pedal gives you longer swells and simulates how an organ player uses their volume pedal to do the same. Thanks for watching,

    -PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos... thanks for the reply :)

  • would a boss dd7 be able to recreate the synth?

  • so does this thing come with the overdrive as well? or is that a different overdrive pedal hooked up to pog 2?

  • the organ sound was pretty freaking sweeeeeeeeeet

  • DAT ORGAN SOUND

  • i think the rain song intro sold me on this

  • When you do that U2 thing with the delay. Can I do the same thing with an original POG and a DD7?

  • Rain Song FTW!

  • Great review !!!

Anyone knows what set in this POG2 I make a Blue Orchid White Stripes sound ?

  • F-ing beautiful

  • 2:48 Where the Streets Have No Name

  • that stuff at the end is very beautiful

  • the U2 swells were pretty nice

  • EHX POG 2 is probably one of the best pedals I cant afford or fit I my board. I am dying for the micro POG though.

  • personal jesus was in there...I heard it. ^_^

  • I'd SO buy it, but it's SO expensive.. well, saving's not a shame I guess

  • Yay! The Rain Song!

  • The Memory Man with Hazarai really needs a preset switch like this one has, so you can switch modes without having to get down or noodle with your foot.

  • Is there a pedal that can do me the simple pitch shift of going from minor to standard tuning? Just shift the note a half step without using a capo. I could get so much use out of that. Anybody wanna help me out?

  • @liveweyer A Digitech Whammy can shift your whole tuning as low as high as you need. Thanks,

    PGS

  • @liveweyer You'd be better off with the EHX Ring Thing for that shifting thing rather than the whammy (as PGS recommends). Yeah, it's a ring modulator but the pitch shifting is absurdly good.

  • @liveweyer Morpheous droptune (i think thats the spelling) instead of using a capo you choose how many half steps you want to go down or up

  • @liveweyer Morpheus makes a Capo, it's pretty awesome

  • @liveweyer Check the Morpheus Capo or Drop tune...depending on if you wanna go up or down. If both check out their bomber. Whammy killer. Better tracking!

  • just out of curiosity.. what volume pedal were you using?

  • When I need a Class Act video to show me just what a pedal can do I ALWAYS go to these guys. Informative, to the point and very well done. You guys do it just the way it should be done. Thanks!

  • Thanks for not talking a lot, e.g., "this has x number of knobs and is painted red and is shaped like a rectangle" etc.

  • Haha Oingo Boingo. You guys rock.

  • whats the song at 2:16 ?

  • @kalli199 Oingo Boingo. "Dead Man's Party." :D

  • how much is this thing

  • What do you think would be better to buy, this or the micro synth?

  • @JosephGallagher

It's "The Rain Song" by Led Zeppelin.

  • Would this sound decent running Vocals through it?

  • Is the intro a popular song? Ya know how Andy uses a lot of rock songs' riffs to show an effect; was just wondering if the intro was an actual song

  • Love the intro.

  • Most már vagy két hete oktáver pedálokat hallgatok a Youtube-on. Ez a legjobb. Verhetetlen, és hihetetlen. Sőt, ki is próbáltam boltban.

  • This thing is totally worth the money, and I don't even miss my corneas yet!

  • Jesus, that organ sound is amazing. I want this pedal just for that alone.

  • HEALTH use that first setting a LOT.

  • Hey

    Ive got some questions

are the organ tones in the pog included or not?

are there, fuzz, ore some other effects in it?

  • i cant decide if either get this or the microsynth

  • Not to be "that guy" but, how are there 138 dislikes? I thought it was a good demo at least oh well.

  • @Zaspor I love it how you ended up being "that guy" anyway

  • i love you Andy, but no more U2 :-/

  • Boingo riff, good to go... Organ was killer, also.

All the info: thanks for your time...

  • He plays where the streets have no nameee! :D

  • love the where the streets have no name organ at the end!

  • OK, I feel like a moron now. Thank you though. It was driving me nuts!

  • I love that very first chord progression he plays! Anybody know if that's a song or just Andy's own creation? He starts it at 0.08

  • @shango02005 The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin

  • I just got this pedal & its going straight into my pedalboard! So many inspiring sounds & the tracking is great too!

  • I wanna get a shimmering effect adding a reverb to produce ambient effects....but can't seem to know how to do it on the POG

  • does anyone know what chord is played at 3:08?

  • @biggb2345 probably a relative minor in what ever key he is in

  • The organ sound is beautiful. Was the Delay pedal giving it that reverse reverb kinda sound?

  • is a song he's playing in the organ part or it's just impro?

    THIS PEDAL IS AWESOME...o.o

  • can you make this sound like a bass?

  • I own it, its a great pedal....but I just have no place for it in my chain. Still really fun with an effects called "swell" on my RP500.

  • pretty sure you guys make the best reviews out there !

  • @tjglasson couldn't agree more son !

  • Love the swelling organ (oo err) at the end.

  • Almost every EHX late releases really worth it again

  • Is there any noticeable lag time between strumming a chord and hearing it out the amp? I've found with some other octave or harmonizer pedals that there's just that split second of lag that makes playing in time challenging. Thanks!

  • @guitareclipse1 thank you! finally someone else notices it, my digitech whamy does that.

  • At 2:53 and 3:03 you can almos hear a female singer's voice in the mix! Probably the harmonics...

This pedal probably sounds GREAT in a wet (reverb-wise) room!

  • I have a band, and we are VERY influensed by Deep Purple! Is this a good pedal to get that kind of sound?

  • why so many dislikes??

  • so does the micro pog only do 1 octave up/down and this do 2 up/down as well as presets?

  • U2 haha amazing

  • at the organ part, I swear I hear a church chorus in the background!

  • @tylerdwells thats the detune setting

  • N.I.B 2:00

  • Info on top says "it will blow your mind;" shit, for 400 $ and change, this thing better blow my cock too.

Great pedal, awesome demo; wish I could afford it! I'll wait for the day I can.

  • i almost cried at 2:58

  • function also for bass guitar?

  • @krislsd Yes it works very well for bass. It tracks better than any octaver I have ever used.

  • in 2:50 how is the setup ?

    guitar--> pog2--->delay-->volume pedal--->amplifier ?

  • What's this riff at 1:34?

  • @guitfreak666

It's 'Personal Jesus' by Depeche Mode !

  • does anyone know the riff at 2:17 ?

  • @skey9 it's dead man's party by oingo boingo!!! Andy is god!! oingo boingo of course were danny elfman's awesome band before he started doing soundtracks for tim burton etc!!! check them out

  • How much money will this put me back.....?

  • Too bad my 45 day return policy expired a week ago or else I'd totally exchange the pedals I just got for this...

  • OMG THE RAIN SONG! That sound made me cry...

  • this thing is freaking amazing i wish i had 300 dollars for one lol

  • great demo! i've got my POG2 after dirt and it seems to track perfectly.

  • an expensive pedal ... but that organ sound makes it pretty hard to resist.

  • Funny how it goes from Oingo Boingo to Sabbath, with some U2 inbetween.

  • That LPF could use an expression pedal jack IMO

  • wow just wow! i want it!!!!!!!!!

  • ever i get this pedal, ill just use it for the organ sound

  • That bit with the organ, rather than using a volume pedal wouldn't that control maked "Attack" be able to do the volume swell?

  • where the streets have no name!

  • @Aehro Good ear!! I am a die hard Edge fan and didn't notice until I read your post!!

  • The organ sound is amazing. I want it so badly.

  • The organ sound is amazing. I want it so badly.

  • OINGO BOINGO!!!

  • sweet organ sound

  • 138 faggots disliked this video

  • this is one of the most if not the most versatile octaver ever

  • rain song <3

  • I would buy one of these simply for the 12-string guitar sounds, but the ability to do organ sounds and then even a mix of 12-string and organ plus a whole bunch of other stuff makes this a real winner. I gotta get one soon.

  • Dude that organ sound is bad ass man. I'm considering one. I recently bought a Big Muff and that opened me up a new world of playing. Imagine what this puppy would do.

  • Good use of Sabbath, I like it!

  • What is actualy Low Pass filter? Is there any pedal that haves only Low pass filter?

  • Yeah!!! Primus/Ozzy NIB!!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • 2:48 ohhh my.....

  • ... "I've gotta get me one of these!"

  • what song was played @ 2:50

  • @menogay organ intro to Where The Streets Hve No Name by U2

  • The Rain song :-) amazing...as both guitar and piano (keyboards) player, I donť need this device...But your demos are really good Andy ! Please demo also Deluxe Memory Boy from EHX...thanks...

  • damn... might have to sell my pog and pick up one of these -_-

  • that organ is amazing.

  • can you do this with the regular pog or does it have to be this one to get that u2 organ sound???
