one thing i do is the christmas list thing...what i'll do i copy the picture and the link of something i feel like i can't live without (like this new Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet-$198) if i just put on my wish list and wait till Christmas i'm 99% sure i'll think it's ugly by then
I like online shopping, because then I'm more apt to seriously consider what I'm buying. I also like to compare prices at different stores. The trick is never to buy the first thing you see!
I'm a college student......I've noticed that most of my money goes to food. I found that ramen noodles have become a staple, but you have to be creative (add vegetables, use soy sauce). I have came up with new and crazy ways to make these noodles that sometimes, they don't even taste like ramen noodles.
What I do is I'll add certain salad dressings to my ramen as it boils. NOT the thick dressings like ranch or anything, but drassings like "Annie's Naturals Shiitake & Sesame Dressing." I've had my disasters, but at 99¢ per ramen packet it's not too big of a deal.
one little yet very effective tip: Stop eating out.
For one cooking at home is much cheaper,
Two, it consumes time saving you the money that you would usually spend on things like movie tickets (and it leaves you with less time to go shopping ;)
three, you'll eat less because you can control your own portions and cooking actually lessens your appetite.
I spend way to much money... it's because when something happens I retail therapy..
