In the meantime, the tendons are slightly stretched out. While this isn't usually a problem for most kids, it can be a major concern for string players (and to a lesser degree, pianists), particularly those who spend a lot of time playing every day, as Valerie would. The brace helps protect the wrist from tendon inflammation or injury.
How come is she always frowning her eyebrows in all these videos in Ventura Music Festival? Like her facial expressions in earlier years more. She looked so relaxed and enjoying her music so much.
Lovely, you two. I simply love Valerie's violin performances, full of sonority, expression, and artistic depth plus very nice technique. Far beyond what you'd expect from a very young teen violinist. I would be very surprised if Valerie did not become one of the top violinists in the world. Of course Dominique is very sensitive, musical, and technically strong in her accompaniment too!

@RokuT0usei probably a brace to keep her from getting tendonitis, which is a serious case that can damage pianists especially.
