I have the red iMac G3. I have to say looking back at Panther you see a lot of differences, back then there was no spotlight search, no dashboard, everything was completely different. but if you saw a screenshot from Lion and a screenshot of Panter on the desktop you wouldnt notice much.
Apple's industrial design was so much more daring back then. I remember wanting one of these so badly in elementary and even then there were anti-Apple people haha. They probably associated Macs with 'slow' back in elementary.
I remember I was in Grade 3 when my school got these. We were like "Oh man the screen is so colorful compared to the [Macintoshes] in the lab!"
